sometimes it's handy to open more than one word document. I have tried several apps to make this happen but unfortunately there isn't seems a way to get this done.
I have installed now 3 apps, which means I can open 3 different documents, but I don't think this is the best solution and cost much space. I use the transformer and tried several apps like quick office, officesuite and documents to go.

i have found the only thing the droid is unable to do is Print. excel docs, pdf's, word docs.... have i missed something? is there an app out there that will allow you to do so?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am now using a Droid Incredible after getting rid of a Windows Mobile devcie and I LOVE IT but the only thing I miss is
1) Being able to transfer Word Docs from my desktop onto my phone and use, read and edit them from my phone
2) Being able to create Documents in general, that I would normally use Word for.
1) Can I save excel or Word docs on my Droid if they are emailed to me? or do I have to just save the email?
2) When I try to locate certain rural addresses that are in my contact list (or anywhere) it is trying to chg what I type and give me a different address. For example.... 1430 Road K Town, state.... Changes it to 1430 K Street Town State.
Now this wouldn't be a big deal except when using the nav features. OUr address is like this and it can never seem to get it right.
I am looking at upgrading to the Moment but need to find out what apps are available to create and edit Word and Excel docs. Free is great but also would be interested in feedback about paid programs.

View 6 Replies View Relatedhow to open .docx file within android app programmatically ? if i try to open a .docx file in my app, it should not open using any external apps like kingsoft office, QuickOffice etc., i have already make use of some library files like aspose.words for android, OliveDocLibrary, Apache POI.
1. Aspose.word library is too heavy and heap space exception occurs when i tried to run the app.
2. using OliveDocLibrary, it displays something like watermark on the document file. that seems to be uncomfortable for viewing the document file.
3. Apache POI library is been used, i have placed all the required libraries in my project's libs folder but still POIFSFileSystem exception occuring.
So, are there any other libraries for doing this job ?

2. When i added my games. it all added in the gray page (where all my applications are) at the same time I added it on the fast access screen. Is there a way that i can delete them in my gray page? Just got my new HTC Hero and I really like it. But I have one small issue. I'd like to open and view word, excel and pdf files in the browser but it doesn't allow me to. It starts to load but suddenly stops.

e.g. let's say i had sent out a text stating; "Hi John, I will be at yours next week - you can email me at berty@bassett.com if you need me to bring anything"
so a few days later I'd start a new text. By the time I'd wrote "Hi" the system would offer me the next word as "John" - it had kind of learned what it thought I might want to say next. This was incredibly useful when entering email addresses into form pages.
Now, when I type "Hi", it offers stupid suggestions like "Hit, High, Hill" and other completely unrelated junk.
If I enable predictive texts, it auto fixes words that don't need auto fixing. I sent a text to my sister saying "lolzalot" and by the time I realised what had gone on, it had instead replaced my word with "locally"
Why is this new way of doing things so poor compared to the old 1.6 way? Or at least, how can I get it back to being like it should be.
I am loving swype, especially since I only have one arm (the others in a cast). Is anyone else having issues with the word list not popping up when you double click on a word? This has never worked for me. I have the newest version.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'd like to have the Android SDK docs installed on my Nexus 7 so I can RTFM while away from the office. After downloading them using the SDK Manager within Eclipse I've tried copying the guide, reference, and assets directories onto the tablet and accessing the index.html files with Chrome, but the navigation doesn't work properly and things are incredibly slow. (The links within are relative, so they resolve, but it's still unusable.)
I have also not been able to find a PDF file that contains the SDK docs, though you'd think that would be an obvious resource to have around.

I am new to the whole rotting thing, I installed the bugless beast on my droid 2 days ago and everything went great and it worked fine, I'm just having an issue with it being really lagy at times and the biggest problem is that it freezes everytime I open or close the keyoard, I have to forse close and wait for it to load everything up again, a message is desplayed and it says:
The application launcher+(process android.process.acore) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Then I hit forse close, it usually only happens when I open or close the keyboard but sometime it will happen at random. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it.
So all of a sudden my Handsent is acting up, long time to open, wont send pics, but will send pics if I use stock messeges. Do I need to reset the entire phone again and start from scratch or is there an easier way to fix the problem with Handsent?
