I feel really silly for having to ask this question, but I can't figure out how to delete music files from my Music application (the one that came with the phone). I see the following options but no "Delete" option:
"Now playing", "Shuffle all", "Play all", "Add to playlist", "Change order", "Set as ringtone", "Repeat", Properties", Shuffle On/Off"...

I uploaded some mp3 tracks to my HTC Droid Eris and they skip during playback somewhat frequently.

It'll also start playing a song skip to another , then another then back to the original and then call my voicemail. Other times when I dont even have a music app open and try to send a text it'll start playing a song. Anyone have any clue what is going on?

I have been reading the only way to get rid of them is by resetting the phone to factory default? Is there anyway to back up all the stuff I purchased or am I hosed? I have deleted all my contacts on google and was hoping the Eris would synch and delete as well. However, the contacts remain on the phone. Is there a way, other than a factory reset to delete all the contacts on the phone.

I know that I can press that down arrow and add a word but how can I delete some of the words that are already there. Now I have a notification that wont go away, it says "SYNC - too many contacts deletes. then when you click on it, it says "there are 74 deleted items for contacts, account ******@gmail.com. What would you like to do? And it gives me 3 options, Delete the items, Undo the deletes, Do nothing for now. I've tried all three options and the notification just comes right back.

Now the Eris is very laggy, and deleting the other threads of texts helped, but everytime i try to delete this thread of 2800 (and counting) texts the program crashes and i have to force close it. My old phone just autodeleted the oldest text once you got past 100, and while it is nice to have more memory than that I do not want to go through my threads and manually delete them to stop them from taking up too much memory. anyone know/use such an app?
