HTC Desire HD :: Connection Between Phone And HTCSense.com Account Not Working
Nov 6, 20101. HTC Sense.com not working. I cant seem to find any discussion on this online, but the connection between my phone and HTCSense.com account doesn't seem to be working. There isn't any connection online to show where my phone is located, I can't use any of the features such as ringing the phone remotely etc, is this service not up and running yet or am I late to the party?
2. Apps on SD Card. After originally having a play around (had moved a couple apps to the SD card), my new 16GB SD Card arrived, and I copied everything from the old 8GB one. When I restarted the phone with the new SD card, all the old apps no longer worked, even though they were found registered on the card.........................

Nov 18, 2010I've created an application which loads a WebView. In order to login, the website requires basic authentication. When i try to access the website via the default browser, I get a pop up box prompting me to enter my user name and password.
If I try to access the website via my application, I get error 401 and no pop up. I was wondering if someone could help me out?
Motorola Droid X :: Unable To Access Full Certain Website
Jul 18, 2010I'm debating whether to go with the Inc (shipped to my house on Friday) or the D-X. I so much want to choose the DX b/c of the larger screen but to be honest, it seems like the usability of the Inc is a a bit better (much closer to iPhone experience than D-X) as the scrolling b/w menus is much smoother than the D-X
Separately, I tried accessing the chicago tribune website on both phones - the DX only allows me to access the mobile version but the Inc allows me to access the full desktop version. When I tried clicking on desktop icon at the bottom of the Tribune website on the DX, it still points me to the mobile website. Any idea why this is the case?

Jul 24, 2010I'm only able to get the mobile version. On the other hand, I am able to access the full site on the Incredible. Seems like the browser is more limited on the X. Anyone else experiencing the same problem? Would hope there is a setting I could adjust to get the full browser experience.

Nov 5, 2010I have been using the default browser on a droid X to access a website on my web-server for weeks but 3 days ago the website became unavailable (showing the "Web page not available" message). Every other domain on the internet seems to work just fine. I then found out that other websites hosted on my server could not load on the droid. I checked the Apache log files and determined that no inbound http connects were being received on my server.
So it seems like a connection was not being established between my droid X and my server using the default browser at all. Then I downloaded a Ping (icmp) app off the market and pinged my server IP and bang, a response. Then I pinged the domain name and received a quick response, meaning that both a connection was possible and that DNS was resolving correctly.
Remembering that Opera browsers use compression and route requests through their servers I thought this could bypass any gateway or proxy Verizon might have in place. The website loaded quickly and completely on the Opera Mini browser. I called Verizon technical support and got through (a bunch of ads) to a nice agent who could not identify any problems on his terminal. He helpfully navigated to my website on his droid X and it worked perfectly. I think he said that he was on the east coast so at least its working there. But there was nothing else he could do so...............

Apr 18, 2010I noticed today that when I went to the YouTube website in the browser that when I try to play a video is says "Old Flash, Go Upgrade", clicking the link takes me to the Adobe website but it won't let me install the latest Flash. I can still play videos on other websites and also on the YouTube application but just not from the website. Is there a way to upgrade the Flash?

Jun 4, 2010How to stop youtube displaying the page designed for Mobile phones? I just want to view the site in my internet browser the same way as I can on my computer but when I am on youtube and I choose the Desktop view at the bottom of the page it just reverts back to Mobile view instead. I've disabled all the settings in my browser that convert sites to mobile views etc etc. It only does it on youtube and I cant stand the youtube app on my phone. I don't want any other apps or anything like that I just want to view it like I do on my comp.

Sep 22, 2010I know a few posts on this but since installing froyo 2.2. I cant get on the sky sports website at all just freezes on the google search and then I try and get on the bbc sport page which works fine but when I go on the live cricket text it crashes and quits the internet. I never had a problem with either before 2.2! I have tried on the default browser and also dolphin but neither work. Are there any settings I should change since installing 2.2 or is it just a case of 2.2 update screwing things up? My friend in the office at work is on orange with 2.2 and it works fine for him.

Sep 13, 2010For some reason on my HTC desire, I cannot access my SD card. It says 'Blank SD card' in the notifications section. For this to happen on a phone is completely unacceptable. Before my SD card was rendered unusable, I used to get problems like whenever I try to take a photo, it would not allow me to because of an SD card issue. Restarting would solve that. That is also unacceptable. Where do I go from here? Have i lost all my data? What is to sat that this wont happen again?

May 2, 2010I bought my phone cash and stuck my O2 sim card in it. My contract comes with free access to The Cloud wi-fi hotspots but I think I need some sort of app to access it. Aug 10, 20101st Post, got my htc desire this morning and after researching for a long time already knew i wanted to root my device.I followed the instructions on this site.[HOWTO] Root Your Desire In 1 Click With UnrEVOked! *UPDATED 20/7* - xda-developers I used unrevoked3, and rooted the device. no trouble Ive backed up the device with titanium backup. Placed cyanogen onto the 4gb sd card which came with the phone.Power off the device. Rebooted whilst holding the volume down button. Got the options up. Navigated to recovery and selected it with the power button. The screen goes blank. The o2 screen comes up saying welcome and thats it, it freezes. I have to pull the battery out of the back in order to reset the device and then it starts up perfectly normal. Tried accessing recovery mode using the clockworkmod but i get the same result.All of the points on the link above were followed. Im pretty much right at the bottom! still researching the net for the answer but im now in need of additional

May 17, 2010Sometimes when I turn on the screen there's a notice saying that backing up to SD had failed, so I try to look at the contents of the card and I can't see any of my files. Sometimes I notice it when I try to take a picture and it'll say that it doesn't have the required access. Other times, I've just wanted to access something on the card and noticed it had happened. Now, this sounds like it happens all the time, but it's only a couple of times a week, but quite annoying nonetheless.
The only solution I have found is to turn off the phone, and then turn it back on again. I have tried with the programs SDRemount and SDRescan, but neither have any effect. Is it an issue with the SD card that would go away if I got a new one? I have searched for this topic several times in here, without finding it, but I think something goes wrong in the search process (even if I just search for SD, nothing is found, and I'm quite sure SD has been mentioned a couple of times in here.
