I have had my HTC Desire for about a month now and have got to grips with it apart from one thing.For the life of me i cant get it to send my video clips in Multi Media Messages? I keep getting the WARNING - Message size limit reached.Some of these clips were between 10-20 seconds long.I dont think it's the camcorder settings af i have reset to default.I can attach them in an Email no problem.

I am doing a video based course, and what is infuriating about playing video on my Android is that you have to watch each segment (up to 40 minutes) in one go, as the next time you play the clip it will restart and fast forward does not work (it forwards for less than a second and then jerks back). What would be really handy would be if I could put a bookmark every time I have to stop the video file (such as when I have to get off my train), and return to the same place the next time I open it. Is there any app that can do this? I will pay for one that works.

Can I get my Droid video clips off of my phone and onto my PC? I bought a SanDisk card reader usb port, put my SD card in it and plugged it into my PC. It doesn't show the video clips or "camera" pictures. I'd like to get some of this stuff off my phone and onto my PC.

I can attach the video but when I click send it just sits in the outbox for a long time then I get a "message not sent" error in the notification bar. This notification keeps popping up till I go into the outbox and delete the Email.Is this a problem with the EVO or is this an isolated problem?

I'm pretty sure once I clicked a link and it gave me the option to open it in a browser or the YouTube app, but now I'm no longer getting that option. View 1 Replies View RelatedSo today I filmed the kids to send through MSS to their gramps. I used the MMS setting on the camera since the X10 can't edit video (amazing blunder if you ask me). But even with this setting the video gets too large to send. I've tried to change the allowed size in Handcent but that only removes the message about too big a file. The MMS is marked by a red clock indicating not sent. The original app does the same thing. Anybody else with this problem? The phone is rooted now but since so little can be removed after rooting due to problems with other apps I guess I'll just un-root it soon and live with Moxier. It's basically the only major app that can be removed without consequenses.

It doesn't. The videos I would try sending would be less than 10 seconds long. The message I would receive is "The receiving service provider for xxx-xxx-xxxx has a size limit for picture/video. Your message may not be received." A few of the individuals say that they are able to receive video messages and have no issues. What gives?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI got a HTC magic a couple of months ago and have had nothing but problems, first i discovered it wouldnt play youtube clips, it just comes up "this video cannot be played" for every clip.
HTC told me to update the ROM but my phone wouldnt detect HTC sync on my laptop (winxp) eventually they told me to force it into boot mode which worked and I've updated the ROM, but it still isnt playing youtube clips and I've trawled every android site I could find for a solution. But I did find alot of other people with android phones and the same problem.
I talked to HTC and they have apprently (after trying to solve this issue for at least a month and a half) reffered it to their head tech office in Thailand (Thailand? *shrug*) and they're working in conjunction with techs here in Australia and USA to figure out what the problem is, they say they will call me when they have a solution, when they do I'll post it here for all the others that have this same problem.
Also, has anyone else had the prob that after the ROM update, app's like 'rings extended' wont work, I've tried several app's like it and none work, just comes up 'rings extended could not be launched'. and in android systems it says there is no defaults set. I'm at a loss.
I read that the youtube app is 'broke' and tried going to youtube by browser which also wouldn't play the video..
This made me think i was missing some sort of codec so i started converting mp4s on my computer and found that only converting to [H.264.MP4] works for my samsung.
So im wondering if theres some sort of codec i need to install on my phone like flash/divx/ k-lite codec pack to be able to watch youtube videos?
My friend just lost his Desire at an airport. The pattern lock is active, but that does nothing but protect the data on the phone - Not SD. The first thing they would do is to switch the phone off and replace the sim.
Now here is my question : Is there an app that will send an sms to a preallocated number if the phone is booted up with a different sim? I know some Samsung phones can do this. But having an app that requires your own sim to be able to find it if stolen is quite pointless.
Is there anyway or any hack out there, perhaps an app, that allows you to send any length of video from your email to another email address? most of my videos are larger than 20MB and my gmail app won't send since it's too large. this would be great
