When I select a video or picture, and choose Gmail to send it with. The email stays in my Sent folder and never goes out.. various other forums (Hero, Droid, Android Apps) all say you have to clear your Gmail Cache.. Did that. still doesnt work.. I have important pics that I want to send. what is the alternative if no fix to the Gmail app ..

Is there any information on extending the GMail application? Or better yet, I for one am relatively irritated that I can't email or upload non-picture/video files that I might have on my SD card, so I'd like to create a provider of some sort to enable the ability to upload or email any arbitrary file. Any ideas?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got a Sprint Hero and when I try to send a 1MB photo, it basically freezes up my Gmail on my smartphone. Is that normal? I've tried to do it a few times, but it just says "sending" for longer than 10 minutes. It even sort of crashes my phone by hogging all the data and not letting me surf the internet or sync with Remember the Milk and other data reliant apps.I hate this Sprint Hero, by the way (unrooted, running OS 2.1). It's a genuine POS.It's so laggy (takes literally 10 F'n seconds to call someone after I dial the number).I've honestly almost smashed it on the ground twice it's so laggy.When I'm in a hurry, I can't stand it's lagginess.It's amazing to me this phone was released to the public with such an egregious lag time on almost everything I do (most noticeably the phone, which is simple compared to other apps).

I have managed to establish a connection between the android and the computer, and to record a video on the android phone. My problem is, how will I be able to send this video to the computer? When I attach a picture to an email with Outlook Ecxchange Active Sync via our server at work I receive an error. "Delivery to the following recipipients was aborted after 3 seconds. " The settings on my phone allow for the all file sizes. The pic is 1.3MB . I don't see anyting else on the phone that would prevent the attachment from not sending. Please advise if any phone setting I'm missing that are causing the problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had my Hero for about a month now, and ever since, I've had to reset it twice; once because I couldn't receive a call, and the second time because it was stuck on a notification sound and wouldn't change, no matter what.
The problem now is that I cannot send a picture message. I constantly get an error message saying that the 'message format is corrupted'. I've tried to take this issue to my carrier's tech support team only to discover I'm having yet another issue: a few of my contacts get deleted if I try to use HTC Sync to back my contacts list up so that I can preform a master reset.
I just got my phone this week and I was trying to send a picture email and just a regular email and it WILL NOT work.

But now I can't send picture texts (MMS). He can't either. I found a thread which talks about a fix but the fix doesn't work. One of my friends has a 'Desire' and he can open it fine. i can recieve pic messages ok. Have spoke to my service provider, they cant help me at all. They did try for 2 hrs this morning. I have 14 days to leave this phone back, it would be a shame to leave this back because of a messaging problem. but i will as picture messaging adds a bit of fun to your phone.

All I saw was the little green icon to the right of the text loading and loading like it was trying to send it. I tried to send a pic to 3 people at once. I canceled the picture and tried to individually send the picture and it wouldn't do it. I had kill the app and turn my Hero off and turn it back on in order for it to work.

Is there an App or a way to have each picture I take automatically emailed to my laptop email address? Not my gmail address.
