For some strange reason, and I haven't done any phone software updates - But the digital Zoom on both my camera and video has gone - Nothing happens when I press the volume rocker? I'm on Orange, with a branded phone and it definitely used to work.

Got my SE Xperia Mini Pro last weekend. This week's been pretty interesting with some delightful discoveries, and a few rude shocks too.
I've a few queries about my Mini Pro.
Is the battery life for the mini pro generally this sad? Or is it just my piece that's rubbish? I've noticed that my battery charges pretty fast. Sadly, it drains just as quickly. I'm yet to do a proper test on how long it lasts, as I haven't been able to keep my hands off my phone I'd hazard a guess that the battery, by regular use, wouldn't last 12 hours! I'd charged my phone fully last night. I woke up 8 hours later to see the battery indicator show 80%. 20% discharge for doing nothing? Seriously? I downloaded the Bluetooth File Transfer app, and I'm now able to send files via Bluetooth. Still haven't figured out how to receive files though. How do I send a contact from my phone to another phone? Why would Sony Ericsson not have digital zoom on it's camera?
The digital clock widget by Maize was by far my favorite clock widget on my Eris until I upgraded my Eris to the leaked 2.1. Ever since the update, I haven't been able to find this widget on the Market even with a QR code. Can anyone post a link to the apk for this widget?

It's taking horrible white washed out images, then purple images. Finally, the images are all black. My processor, or CCD died in the camera...Bust out my Incredible and keep on keepin on...
Here's a few from the inc. I've resived them to 25% and saved them at 80%. I can't complain at all! Because my Incredible SAVED MY DAY!
sorry to go on about the video camera but, any one out there know whats best for 720p? h.264 or mpeg4? or is it a case of i should definitely be using one or the other?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI update my Desire to 2.2 last week and was excited to try out 720p video recording. I slid out the panel on the screen and chose video, it switches to video but then the camera app just quits and I can't use the video camera. This happens every time I switch to video and I've tried turning my phone off and on again many times and it hasn't fixed the issue. I've searched on line and no one seems to be having this issue. Any ideas?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have 2 Asus HD7 Memopad (ME173x) tablets running identical to each other, same settings, same software, etc. I have a powered hub in an OTG cable connected to one of my tablets. When I hookup my Canon point and shoot digital camera to the hub, one of the tablets sees it acknowledges it pops up a window saying what program should I use for this USB device either Asus Gallery or the Asus studio or the Google camera importer, and everything works fine.
I unplugged the OTG cable from that tablet and plug it into my other tablet and I get nothing what so ever, nothing pops up. but I know its not a problem with the USB port on that second tablet because when I plug in a flash drive into it and load up the OTG helper I can see the flash drive with no problem using ES file manager. I just can't seem to get the camera to read on that tablet.
so I plug the OTG cable back into the other tablet and boom it pops up the pop up again and it works. I compared settings on both tablets and they're all the same settings identical. I don't remember what I did if I did anything to the first tablet to make it work.I think I just plugged it in and it worked.
I'm using Micromax Canvas 4 and last night I realised that I had no camera pics aur videos on my phone. I'm 100% sure that I didn't delete or transfer them somewhere else.

Just noticed that android slide has released a version of their Camera ZOOM FX application which has 40 photo FX, geotagging and obviously zoom which I can't do at the moment in FXCamera. Camera ZOOM FX. Just wondering if anyone had a chance to look at either of these apps and which they think is best, because I've been hoping for some new effects for a while and the android slide app sounds worth a look.

However the Camera Zoom FX barcode was not recognized? I've also tried to manually search for this in the Android Market and although there are lots of add ons to the app in there I cant find the original app where you have to pay $1.29 or something. I would really like to get this app as the only slightly disappointing thing for me on this phone is the camera and any way of me improving it would be great.

They immediately appear in a little square at the top left of my screen while still in camera mode after I click "save". However, no matter if I click on that little icon of the pic I took, or go to the Gallery on my Droid, either way it just comes up with the screen saying "No Media Found" help! My husband hasn't changed to the 2.1 and we can take the same picture but he gets closer with his zoom. Is there any setting that would improve this on the camera with 2.1?
