View 2 RepliesMy Desire has suddenly stopped recognizing my 4GB SD Card today. Just says it's blank and needs formatting! When I try to access the card via my PC it just wants to format it but when I bring up the format window the PC only sees 30MB and a format of FAT. The Properties show it formatted as RAW. The Error Notification I get is: Blank SD Card - SD Card blank or has unsupported file system. Is my card fried or is there a way out of this?
View 35 Replies View RelatedGot my HTC desire couple of weeks ago and have had this problem since. Everytime I turn on my phone I get a new blank from anonymous that sits on my SD card; I know its on my SD card because there's a logo of an SD card on the text bubble. Even if I delete it, it will reappear. Even if I try black list it will reappear. The date of the text message used to be consistently the same as well as the same time until today. Where are texts held on the sd card?
View 14 Replies View RelatedFirstly just wanted to say how useful this forum has been in keeping up to date with all the latest goings on for my HTC Hero (well, T-Mobile G2 in my case). Anyway. I'm having some problems with the speaker on my phone, the one you hold to your ear, rather than the one that plays music, loud speaker etc. I think I've found a solution, so wanted to share that with you guys, but also find out if anyone else has had a similar problem.
My phone has started crackling a lot when making calls. Other people can hear me fine, but their voice seems to crackle and fizz if it gets too loud. If I turn the volume up on my phone it gets even worse. At first I thought it was a blown speaker or something, but looking at the sim card holder, it seems to be that that's causing a rattle, it gets vibrated when the sound comes through the speaker. When I tap the back of my phone, gently!, it makes a slight rattling sound. I can eliminate the problem entirely by taking the back off the phone and firmly holding the top of the battery, thus stopping the sim card holder rattling around. However this isn't an ideal solution for everyday use!
today I put my sd card into my sd card reader to throw some photos on to my computer. After I was done i put the sd card back into my droid and booted it up. After booting I get a notification saying my SD card is blank, so I turn off the phone and pull the battery out. When I grabbed my SD card it burnt my hand "literally" it was that hot... Wtf?!?! I put the SD card back in the reader and the computer doesnt even see the card. Idk if anyone has heard of a similar problem b4 and knows a fix...Thanks in advance! Side Note; I work at a cell phone repair store, so I put the sd card in two other blackberry's and they say "your sd card needs to be formated or it is corrupt". I put other sd cards into my phone and i have no problems.

View 3 Replies View RelatedJust turned my phone on and I have a notification on my phone saying the SD is blank, and gives me an option to format it? The notification reads: "SD card blank or has unsupported file system". Anyone know what wrong? I don't even have the option to mount it to my PC, just charge and sync.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI got a new 16gb card. I plugged it into my hero and it displayed 14gb out of 16gb, so I hit the format SD card on my hero, and now the hero gives a notification "blank SD card", if I push it, it asks me if I want to format, so I hit format and nothing happens, how do I know if its formatting? does it tell me when its done?

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo recently I obtained a new 16 GB micro SD card which worked fine with my previous phone and typically worked well with my Galaxy SII as well, but when I went to transfer files from my computer to the card I ran into an issue. After all the files we're transferred it all seemed fine, but shortly afterward I ran into a blank SD card notification and was prompt to format via phone, which managed to format successfully. So then I went through the process again, this time putting nearly everything through a file converter before transferring. Again, everything seemed fine until a short while later when I have a blank card and prompt to format yet again. And like before the formatting seemed to work fine.
And to provide a bit more information that may be relevant, since our computer doesn't seem to play nice with my SD card (no window pops up after inserting and when attempting to read the card via My Computer it simply locks up and becomes unresponsive) when I transferred the files I did so through having my old phone plugged in with the card inserted and managed to get to it that way. With the second attempt I just used my current phone instead with hopes that it would work better that way. Unfortunately the same issue occurred as mentioned above.
So that pretty much covers it. If I had to guess it would seem that a hiccup is occurring with the transfer process that makes the card appear blank shortly afterward. Would be nice to find a way to prevent this from happening again.
Well I booted my X up and all the sudden, blank sd card. Is there any way to get my info back?

View 6 Replies View RelatedSeen this error. My sd card is not readable on any android phone or computer ive tried it on.
What I think broke it was the NEW SD CARD storage optimizer by Kalyani, I opened it up after downloading off the android market and used a feature called file explorer. It took forever to read all the files on my card and eventually I closed it out before its completion and immediately noticed my sd card is now inaccesable.
Is that error fixable or should I throw out the card?
So I put my 32gb lexar sd card into my Samsung galaxy discover and my phone said the sd card was blank and it needed to be formatted so I tried to format it but it froze my phone I had to pull the battery out then when I tried to turn it on it just gets stuck at the logo screen.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy brother just bought a Milestone and he's having problems with the SD card (8gb). What happens is that he put some music on his phone, and with the program Ringdroid, began to cut some songs. Then, the phone began to crash, he restarted it. After restarting, the device didn't recognize the memory, saying "Blank sd card or unsupported system", occasionally rebooting, indicates that it was removed. I have looked in other threads and google it, but found nothing useful. I can't unmount or format it from the phone. And as I have the G1, I put my card (that works) on Milestone and got the same problem, so I think it's not the SD. I've already formatted it, nothing.
View 9 Replies View RelatedEvery time. I load a froyo ROM this pops up. I'm running. Nonsensikal 1.5 now but others have said this too and I know my SD card is not blank. Do I have the wrong card in there. Its the stock 8gb. It doesn't. Let me download any Apps. that require SD permission. What do I do because I really want to keep this ROM.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe thing is that time to time my device does not respond to screen touch. For instance: then there is an incoming call it stays blank and I can not see who is calling and at the same time not able to answer it.
Touching the screen does nothing, only after pushing hard buttons, I am able to terminate the call. Also, when I am trying to access the OS from sleep mode by pressing the power button--there is no home screen--it stays blank. The only thing it does---the lights go on the home, menu, back and search buttons.
I did contact ot HTC help service and they told me to try to use the device in safe mode for two days. (this should terminate all 3rd party applications, that might cause the issue). Its my first day that I am use is in the safe mode and so far I do not experience any problems.
I do suspect that the reason of my problem could be the task killer that I am using in order to eliminator some programs running in background. But I did try out several task killers so far, however the issue remains the same
I have an HTC Desire and I managed to break the LCD. I had the LCD and touchscreen replaced (don't ask long story) and now I have the following issue: When I make a call and even before I lift the phone to my ear the screen goes blank. None of the buttons work but the call is fine - I can be heard/hear the other person. When the other person ends the call the phone bips to tell me the call is over, but the screen stays blank. I can re-activate the screen by receiving a missed call - ie calling my phone and then hanging up re-activates the screen. In addition, when my phone rings the screen is fine, but as soon as I answer the call and lift the phone to my ear the screen goes off as before. The only other way to bring the screen back is to remove the battery. Whilst the screen is blank I loose all touch-screen capability too. Everything else on the phone works perfectly, sync to email, text, GPS, camera, internet etc all not a problem.
View 6 Replies View RelatedHad a HTC desire now for a couple of weeks and Ive come across an annoying problem, when I make or recieve a call and raise the phone to my head the screen goes blank which in it's self is fine, but after the call has concluded the screen remains blank and there appears to be know why to get it to leap back into life ive tried moving /jiggling the phone and pressing all the buttons including the power, the only way seems to be to remove the battery and force a reboot. Anyone else experienced this or have any ideas that might help solve it?

View 26 Replies View RelatedOn the Desire home screen I have a clock with what should be the weather info underneath which is the standard home screen. The weather info is blank apart from the name of a nearby village which i believe is where the nearest phone mast is located. (the picture on the box the phone came shows Barcelona with lots of weather info). If I tap on the blank area next to whe name I get the weather screen opening up with the name of the village where the mast is, and the word "current" in brackets next to it and the info is all showing "0" if I update it the message appears "no weather data available".I can chose another location (various pre loaded or choose Manchester UK by searching ) then choosing my desired location which then shows data. When I return to the main desire home screen the village name is back under the clock with no weather info.I guess the HTC is trying to get the weather data for the mast location nearest my phone as a default setting, I dont know how or if I can override this so that I can have my desired location (ie Manchester uk) wether data showing under the clock on the home page permanently.
View 11 Replies View Relatedthe GPS on my Desire is shocking - it point-blank won't work if there's ANYTHING over my head, so useless in cars/trains/buses, and if i'm out on the street it'll either not work at all or take upwards of 2 minutes to lock a signal. was chatting to a friend about it this weekend, and he whipped out his nexus one and had a locked signal within seconds of opening google maps, whereas mine still refused to budge. have i got a duff handset, or are other people finding this an issue? i'm on Orange, although i'm presuming that GPS isn't reliant on the carrier...

For no apparent reason friendstream has.stopped working and now whenever I try to open it it just tells me application has expectantly stopped working and make me force close. The widget just now appears blank.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using the zune tv-out cable as recommended but I am unable to get the tv-out function to work.
I used another cable from an old video camera and the same result. I tried swapping the cables for the video but still no video .
I get audio but no video. I have also tried to press the 3.5mm cable in as hard as I could into the vibrant but with no results .
My vibrant is rooted and has the lag fix on it, could this possibly cause the tv-out function to not work?
I've had my Incredible for a couple months, and this just started happening a couple days ago. First, my home screens shifted to the left (as if I was doing it with my finger). I would leave the screen on, lay it down on a table top, a few seconds later, shifted to the far left again. I pulled up some things with text input boxes, and again it kept trying to shift the cursor to the left.
I checked and since it's still under warranty Verizon will swap it out. It only happened for a couple days, and has quit since (happened a few days ago). Any ideas what may have caused it? Think it's worth going ahead and swapping it while it's still under warranty? Hate to run the risk of it doing it again later, of course knowing my luck I'll get a screwed up one when I swap it out!
