Jan 26, 2013I use google calendar, I organise a little football team, where it is common for games to be changed for various reasons. I made a Calender with the fixture list and used the public URL to share it with the team, most of whom then imported it to the calendars on their smart phones. I then tested to see if I changed information on my calendar if their calendars would update. I found that the IPhone users calendars did but not the android users.

I also tried to watch highlights from a previous match and highlights from Rockness music festival but still no joy? HTC Desire :: Calendar App With Google Calendar And Default Notifications
Jun 8, 2010just got the phone a week ago.i'm using Google Calendar exclusively for all my date keeping. it's great to see that the default calendar apps sync with google calendar (GC)now, in GC (the web version) i set up the default reminders for new appointments to be a) email and b) sms.i noticed that, in order to get notifications on my PHONE as well, i need to add c) pop up to it. tested and that seems to work fine. will that pop up show anywhere else as well though? i never used that notification option before.and i noticed the following two annoying things:
1) default appointment notifications not set when appointment made using phone calendar application
when i make a new appointment from my PHONE, it shows up on the web version after a sync, that's all very cool. BUT then the appointment does not get assigned the default notification options (email and SMS), it only has pop up. any way to work around that? can't seem to find options for that.
2) when appointment made via application, web version of the appointment shows me as a GUEST who has confirmed that's a bit rubbish?! i.e. the experience is totally different from the appointments i set using the web version of GC.

Home screen = places where you put widgets/applications, shortcuts...There is one main home screen (with clock, weather and some apps) + 6 additional screens where you also put apps and widgets.

Nov 6, 2010I got my desire yesterday and when as soon as started to use the phone, it would scroll from the home screen to the left or right. It won't stay on one screen sometimes. Other times it doesn't do this at all. When it is doing, I can go into a menu or something and it will scroll through the different icons. I don't know what the problem is, but it's getting on my last nerve.

Nov 18, 2010I have an HTC HD2 rooted with android based off the desire. I had a different build on my phone before so still getting used to it. I used to use the pattern lock on my phone and it would be the only screen lock. Now, with the desire build i have two. The standard frown looking sliding bar is there, which i don't like, and after i slide that bar to unlock then my pattern i set comes up and i have to use that to get into my phone. I would much rather just have one and prefer it be the pattern instead on the standard bar.

If I were within the main application, I know I could just place the file in the assets directory and use getResources().getAssets().open(sourceFile).However, this API appears to be unavailable from the ActivityInstrumentationTestCase2 class.Is there an easy way to copy a file over from the testing PC, or should I just keep a fresh copy of a test fixture on the device and copy it over a temporary file?

Aug 8, 2010I'm having a strange problem with a new appointment I've just entered in my Desire.Problem shows itself as follows:
1 Go to Doctor, get new appointment for 8:30am next Feb 14th.
2 Enter appointment into Desire under PC Sync calendar. Shows up OK in calendar.
3 Go Home. Sync with Outlook (2003 SP3) on home PC (XP Pro SP3)
4 Outlook shows appointment as 9:30am on Feb 14th.
5 Correct in Outlook back to 8:30 and re-sync.
6 Desire now shows appointment for 7:30am.
7 Repeat...
Off the top of my head, I'd say that there's a Daylight Saving / Summer Time issue here, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to go about fixing it.I live in Qld, Australia. Qld does not have Daylight Saving during Summer, but other Eastern Australian States do. I've only had the Desire for about 2 weeks, but no other dates have been increased/decreased by an hour when I've synced them. Google doesn't seem to be my friend (at least with the key words I've used).
