I would be ECSTATIC if an app that could stream the World Cup existed. Anyone know if one exists or is in the process of being created?
I, for one, would definitely be willing to pay for it.
I know ESPN is broadcasting the World Cup and I have access to ESPN360. Anything I can do with that to stream it?
Got a world cup app on his iphone looks good does anyone know if this will be available for the desire? also read soo many threads with numerous apps beebplayer, tvcatchup & yamgo to name a few with some peeps saying new versions for world cups any news on this as there no on the app market?

What's the best app to get for this purpose (one that doesn't eat up too much data allowance please!!)?

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy friend has an ipod. He has bought an FM transmitter for his Ipod which lets him play it through his radio by tuning into the set frequency. It worked reallywell. I am looking to get one of these and wanted to know if you can get them for HTC phones. I have seen the generic ones which plug into the earphone socket, but ideally wanted one which connected to the bottom of the my Desire via the micro USB so i had no wires anywhere. the Ipod/iphone one my mate has just clips onto the bottom using the charging port. Also, has anyone found a good site for HTC accessories?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI've been having issues lately with Hotmail Mobile, and it was working fine up until about a week ago.I have troubles deleting emails. For instance, when I go to the "junk" folder, and click the box to highlight them all and then delete them, it will only put a check box in the very top email. And if I check them all individually and click delete, it won't delete. In fact delete doesn't work at all. Also, I can't open attachments. It just says "loading", and the little "circle hourglass thingy" keeps spinning around and around. Other than these issues, I can read my emails totally fine.I know that I can just go to the pc site instead of the mobile site, but I preferred the mobile one on my phone.
View 1 Replies View Relatedjust wondering if anyone is having the same issues as me with YouTube. The audio and video with the built in app is slightly off sync, with the picture moving very slightly ahead of the audio. There is an issue with subscriptions where a few selected channels show 0 videos, and going in results in all videos bringing up an error Viewing the site through the web browser is great, with subscriptions showing fine with new videos, but the flash player is not up to speed and this time the picture is quite far ahead of the video, to the point where it isn't really watchable. I don't think its just me, and I hope there might be an update soon as I can't find a workaround.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there any reason I can't watch news clips on the BBC News site?
You know, the tiny little Flash videos they have embedded on some news stories
It's load, I can click play, then it comes up with a an error exclamation in a yellow triangle, you know the one.
Any reason for this?
When we open some sites and read more details some stories, when we push back button, it's look the browser re open the current site. Is it possible if we push back button, the site will load instantly without reload to server?
View 2 Replies View RelatedProbably an old question, but if I want to get rid of the crummy Orange World "Internet" icon on my Desire, what are the options (other than rooting at the moment)?
Change to Opera/Dolphin or similar?
A nicer icon?
A nicer widget?
Bit of general this but as its the Desire that I'm looking to get (on either O2 or Voda) I'd thought this would be a good place to ask these questions.
1. I am looking to use the phone to listen to radio (radio 5 and maybe radio 1 and 2 as well) and send the sound wirelessly to suitable bluetooth headphones - I assume this is perfectly possible?
2. Assuming the above is ok what sort of data bandwidth would I use up per hour. I was looking at maybe 100 hrs a month - is that realistic on a 1GB cap?
3. How reliable is 3G is walking around generally - is it consistent generally or does it drop out alot?
I'm having problems with streaming music to my car stereo. Everything connects ok but playback is very jumpy. I get a 1 or 2 second pause every 10 seconds or so. I know it's not my car stereo as my iPhone streams to it seemlessly for hours on end.

Not yet got my new Desire but I've watched several youtube clips showing fast and smooth browsing performance; I'm guessing these clips were showing phones connected over wifi. What's the browsing experience like on normal 3g when out and about? Is watching streaming video feasible for example?

View 28 Replies View RelatedI was hoping that someone here could comment about "real world" 4G performance, I've heard both sides. Some saying it's blazingly fast, others saying its hit or miss with high latencies.I'm in the Seattle area which is supposedly saturated with 4G, I suppose I'll even be happy with 3G speeds, but if anyone can share real world speed 4G speed/latency tests.I'd be most appreciative.

I'm supposing that this will NOT be a world phone?
I'm just getting started with Android programming, using Eclipse 3.7.1 and ADT 16.0.1. Naturally I started with the usual Hello World program. It runs fine on a physical device, but not on the emulator. When I run it on an AVD, here's what the console window says:
[2012-01-27 17:02:29 - HelloAndroid] ------------------------------
[2012-01-27 17:02:29 - HelloAndroid] Android Launch!
[2012-01-27 17:02:29 - HelloAndroid] adb is running normally.
[2012-01-27 17:02:29 - HelloAndroid] Performing com.example.helloandroid.HelloAndroid activity launch
[2012-01-27 17:02:42 - HelloAndroid] Launching a new emulator with Virtual Device 'AVD_4.0.3'
[2012-01-27 17:02:51 - Emulator] emulator: warning: opening audio input failed
[2012-01-27 17:02:51 - Emulator]
[2012-01-27 17:02:54 - Emulator] emulator: WARNING: Unable to create sensors port: Unknown error
That's all. The emulator starts up and appears to be working OK, but the app never shows up on it.
I can also start the AVD from the AVD manager window, and again it starts and runs OK. But if I try to run my app, the emulator doesn't show up in the list of running Android devices in the device chooser -I assume it should, since there's a column headed "AVD name".
I'm new in Android. I'm starting with HelloWorld program, but I can't run it on the Emulator. I'm using newest version of Eclipse and Android SDK. I also set up development environment as follows instructions on http://developer.android.com/index.html.Does anybody have advice for me?

Also, is there a way to capture the TEXT from CMD window that runs while the Emulator is coming up?
I've been hanging in the shadows for a while now but thought I would burst my forum cherry. With the World Cup looming I wondered if any of you fine people have used any of the World Cup apps (paid or free) that are available on the market and what your thoughts were on them? I'm looking to dedicate one of my home screens to a World Cup fenzy of info ready for when it starts so I can amaze my mates down the pub with stats and nuggets of clever info.

I am using Goal.com Mobile - its really great and I highly recommend! I think the FutMob WorldCup/5.0 versions would be my next best bet in terms of notifications and news.
