HTC Desire :: Unbricking SLCD Bricked

This is from my original thread from XDA. It has had numerous hits and questions, which made me realize how so many people have had similar problems. There are solutions on XDA too, but the problem is that there is no one solution to the issue. There are a lot of solutions, but this is a aggregate of all the solutions. I will add FAQs as and when questions are asked, and will keep it as updated as possible. Criticisms, comments and questions are welcomed.
