For some strange reason, since the 2.2 update. My shortcuts on my pages keep disappearing & in there place is a deleted box, which is unusable. I create the shortcuts using folderorganiser & it only happens on a few.

Deleting shortcuts on the application pages doesn't seem to work.
I press the shortcut icon I want to delete, hold, wait for the vibration, drag to the garbage icon, and release. When I go back to the application page the shortcut icon is still there.
This technique works perfectly on the home pages, just not on the application pages.
I just manually updated to 2.01, and everything went fine on the upgrade, no errors. Seems rather zippy, however now when I open the keyboard and the home screen shift to a horizontal layout, all my home screen icons (and widgets) disappear. On all three home screens. Everything is still there in the "all items" menu on the bottom. I'm not getting any kind of crash indicator, or force close or anything. A reboot brings it back, at least until I open the keyboard again. It's pretty consistent, although it seems I can avoid the problem by not opening the keyboard when it's on the home screen (only doing so when in an app). Never saw this with 2.0. I've googled around and seen other folks having similar problems, but no fixes mentioned, and none specifically referring to 2.0.1.

I'm signed into FB on my Desire using Friendstream, not the FB program.Every time the phone does an automatic sync, or I do it manually, the FB contacts are unselected from view and I have to add them again.

Is there any way to streamline web page downloads other than to not download images? View 2 Replies View RelatedHowever my phone will connect to my wifi at home no problems, it automatically switches when it's in range, but after about 20-30 minutes it stops working (pages won't load etc or get an error message saying I need to be connected) and when I go into wifi in settings it says 'authenticating' instead of connected. It doesn't change back if left you have to turn it off and back on and then it works fine for 20-30 minutes and back to the same problem again. I have never had a problem with the internet connection and there is no interuption to it or anything.

Even though it shows full signal I lose calls halfway through people try calling me only to get my answer phone but phone is next to me showing full signal. If I try and use the internet it won't upload pages unless I put wi-fi on. It's not where I live as husband on same network and his phone is fine. What should do.

I am however, having problems with the bookmark display in that it is not displaying the web pages in the widget as it should be, it just comes up with the name and a standard image. I have tried just going into the page but it doesn't work.
View 3 Replies View RelatedProblem is, any page on the BBC News website containing a Flash movie crashes the stock browser . So, while this and this are OK. This, this and even the mobile help page crash the browser (links included for you to try ). No force close, the browser just vanishes and I get returns me to the phone home screen.
I've cleared the cache and cookies and even restarted the phone to no avail (and no, I'm not doing a hard reset ).
iPlayer pages are OK as is YouTube.
Is this a BBC problem? Is anyone else having the same issue or is it just me?
Running stock browser on LauncherPro on FroYo.
Probably me being picky but I've noticed when scrolling through menus or web pages the images are blurry until you take your finger off or the image has stopped moving in which the image re-adjusts it's self.
My Hero never had this issue, much more smoother looking when scrolling. I just wanted to check that others where experiencing this and that it was the norm or not?
once installed, this app allows you to change the lock slider to various other options, lets you add widgets from other apps to the lock screen and also lets you add other shortcuts.there are lots of options in the settings menu as well.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI own HTC Desire (Bravo). I rooted my phone year ago or so, tried different ROMs etc. I dont remember when exactly, but my Google play store is loading pages really slow. I am not in US, I doubt its carrier based issue..
Currently I'm using CM..I think its 8 or 9, not sure of the version because recently my ROM manager app stopped working. (Will try to reinstall it when I get calm enough to open Google Play Store again )
On the startup it says CM 7 (mod) but I think it does so for all versions. I flashed CM using clockwork mod.
To solve issue I've tried clearing cash/data but it didn't work . Btw I use wi-fi mostly, but issue is the same whether I use mine or some other wi-fi.
Does anyone know where we can download the Official HTC Desire Android 2.2 Firmware Update so we can use it for manual installation into the phone?

I want the upcoming Froyo 2.2 update, and I have seen that it is soon available for Vodafone. This confuses me. View 11 Replies View RelatedIve noticed when i either browse my files with Astro or use the phone as a disk drive and manage my files from my computer, all pictures no longer become viewable on the phone after re-mounting and all saved ringtones/notification sounds are removed from the phone. ive tested and re-tested both consistently. I can go into astro and find the pictures in the files. I can do the same on my computer. However, i cannot view the pictures through the gallery app.
View 10 Replies View RelatedWhen I got back from lunch, I suddenly noticed several of my apps were showing uninstalled from my home screen. Here are 3 examples:
1) Pandora - Icon turned to the android and would not load
2) Bible - same as pandora
3) Appbrain - same as pandora
When I checked all apps, they were missing. I went into the android market and reinstalled them. The only thing I have done is move some of my apps to the sd card. Did this cause a problem? I did this over the weekend.
So I have a Verizon S3 (unrooted) that is giving me trouble. At times, when I go into the Messaging app, it will show me that I have no sms messages on my phone. In reality, I have tons of them on there. I can even be reading a text, click to go back to the main screen, and then they all just disappear.
Sometimes I can open the Messaging app and it will flicker so I can see all my messages for a split second before it goes to the No Messages screen.When this happens, I have to reboot the phone and then they all show up again. I can also open some other SMS program and it will also show that I have no messages so it's something within the system and not with any specific app.
I have a work email account that is hosted by G mail. I access it though outlook 2007. I set that account up on my EVO with the I MAP settings. The email gets delivered to the phone but as soon as I send/receive in outlook, the emails on my phone disappear even if they have been opened. I want them to stay on m phone until i delete them. Anyone know how to do this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedOnly 9 songs show up when I open the music on my eris. I added two new songs yesterday and for whatever reason almost all of them don't show up anymore. When my phone is plugged in as a disk drive the files show up when I look through my SD card on the computer, but not on my phone. It's really pissing me off, I've tried restarting my phone multiple times, deleted those two songs I added...nothing has worked. This phone has sucked since the update was released.
