General :: Desire Notification Led And Torch Not Working
Nov 20, 2011Yesterday I tried the latest ICS rom (URL.....) for Desire and when I reverted back to Gingerbread my notification LED, torch led stopped and camera working. Same thing happened two months ago and I ended up sending it back to HTC for repairs and all they did was some software changes but I'm not sure what.I tried resetting the phone with the RUU and their still not working.

Aug 24, 2010Having only recently bought a HTC Desire, I am now bugged with a flashlight issue. The led flashlight on my phone does not seem to work at all (neither in camera mode or the new flashlight app in android 2.2). The flash definitely worked when I originally got the phone but now does nothing.

Sep 11, 2010The first one the flashlight led stopped working in any app. It was returned. Now its replacement has another issue with the camera. I'm getting blocky colourful pixelation when the phone is on a gprs connection and I use the camera. At least that didn't happen on the first one. I'm getting seriously fed up with HTC. Will I get one that works properly? Might swap it for Samsung galaxy, but I know I'd miss sense. S there a fix for the camera bug? Updated software? It takes a perfect picture. It just looks wrong before you click the shutter.

Aug 1, 2010I have posed this question in some threads but as yet have made no progress.I am just curious as to why HTC appear to have left out the Bluetooth Voice Dialler function that can be provided by the Froyo 2.2 O/S. I believe this feature is present and enabled in some of the cooked roms and also in the Nexus one Vanilla 2.2 so why not here?If I have missed somthing simple or if anyone is aware why it is missing or how I can activate it that would be fantastic!

I've found a few that use the LCD light, but that's not intense enough... And all the apps I found so far that use the led flash light, do not work on the Eve.

Dec 22, 2011I have a ZTE Skate(aka Orange/Optimus Monte Carlo) and it has flash led, the thing is I would like to use it as a flashlight.
Looking at Torch.apk you find this, which I think is what the app uses to control the flash led:

The problem is that ZTE Skate doesn't have these files: /sys/devices/platform/flashlight.0/leds/flashlight/brightness nor /sys/class/leds/spotlight/brightness
I don't know if those files are generated at boot, when using camera but the thing is that with any ROM available for this device those files don't exist. Or a workaround to use led as flashlight.
HTC Desire :: Official Car Mount Kit
Jul 30, 2010Has any body seen this official car mount for the Desire? it seems a little expensive to me. It apparently activates the NaviPanel interface on your phone when plugged in but how do you know if your phone supports this or not?

The problem is when forwarding sms there is no option to search for a contact. If you press the search button it just goes to online searching and not contact searching.
