View 1 RepliesMy phone has been been on the charger but it won't charge , theres an orange blinking light though the pulsates , no matter how long I leave my phone on the charge it won't turn on what do I do?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI accidently sat got my evo into some water on our bathroom the other night and now my phone is acting weird. I disconnected the battery and the phone and allowed them to sit in bags of rice for a few days to draw out the mositure. I turned the phone back on and found the camera is no longer so the water must of wicked in through there, but what is troubling me is the orange charge light comes on as well as a red indicator light on the other side.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've just noticed that my notification light only blinks for almost exactly 5mins.
At first I thought it didn't always work because I would come to my phone, not see the light, take it off standby and see I have a message or email. Then I noticed it was working but just went off very quickly.
I've heard that task managers/killers can affect the alerts and I am running Astro but using it as a file manager and not a task killer (as I've discovered they're 99% unnecessary). I am also using Handcent for my SMS/MMS messages.
Is this normal for you guys? No matter what type of message I get, I only get 5mins worth of blinking.
Just wondering if someone can let me know, is there a light which flashes on the desire to let you know you have messages? where on the phone is it and can you change its color?

View 3 Replies View RelatedDoes any one know how to set the notification light on the phone so it blinks when you have a missed call or text when the phone is charging? Cant seem to find this option, I find it weird Android doesn't have this option as default to begin with.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy INC just turned off randomly when I was setting up some stuff and the orange light just keeps blinking when it's plugged in to charge but it doesn't look like it's charging because I can't turn it on.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis has probably been asked before but I can't find anything in searches. Is there an app that allows you to customize the notification light on the X?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just switched from i Phone 4 to Droid X. Very exciting, since not only I have to learn how to use it but also I need to optimize the phone as well. (So much to do, I was bored with i Phone 4 ) So far battery life is not that great, drops 10 % every hour or 2 without heavy duty. (is this normal?) But yeah my question is every time I unlock the screen,(so when the screen wakes up) the notification light blinks with blue/red color. Is that normal? I checked Motorola, it wasn't on the manual.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen searching around about getting rid of the branding on a desire everyone talks about rooting and using some other developers version of android. Is there no way to just install the proper original stock untouched virgin, HTC desire factory rom on the device. So that my device is as HTC intended. Why do i have to use some developers rom that has been messed with? Surely thats as bad as having a version that orange have butchered? Please advise.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI had to remove my sim card, which means that I had to remove my battery. After doing so, I put my sim card back in, followed by the battery, and after pushing the power button, the battery indicator started flashing green and orange.
The screen isn't turning on, and absolutely nothing is happening.
I've been pouring over google trying to find a solution, but haven't found any that worked.
One suggestion suggested that I hold the power button for 10-15 seconds, then plug it into power, then add battery. This did not work.
Another suggested the opposite- hold power for 10-15 seconds, add battery, then add power cord, still no luck.
I freaking love this phone. I really, really, really want to fix it. If there are any, ANY suggestions as to what I could do to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated. I tried to call HTC for support, but, wouldn't you know it, couldn't get to a phone before EXACTLY one minute before they closed.
I have an Orange HTC desire on Orange with Android 2.1. What I would like to do is debrand this phone to the stock HTC Android 2.2 release. HTC Desire 2.2. I am not really bothered about custom ROM's or rooting. I just want to have all the features that the phone should come with, minus the Orange mods.. Is this possible firstly? If it is which guide would you recommend? Can anyone comment on the risk vs reward of doing this? I am technical enough to follow the guide but would like to make sure what I want to achieve is possible..

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just received my HTC Desire(Orange Contract) literally 10 minutes ago, I was wonderwing what the best way is to get rid of all the pre installed Orange apps from my network provider, stuff like Orange app market and Orange Maps etc
Is there a reset to factory settings, and if so would this wipe all Orange stuff?
I've rad through all of the guides relating to unrooting and the one thing that I can't seem to find is the Orange 2.1 RUU.exe thats what I'm meant to be looking for). Orange UK have just released 2.2 and i want to get it.So my question is this, is it possible to unroot it? If it isn't. I'll get it replaced but then I would like to help the community by ripping the stock rom if that is possible.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSlightly ot but does any body know if there is anyway Orange will allow me to upgrade from my Hero to the Desire early?
Can i start a new contract or maybe just pay towards the new handset??.As it is i can't do it until December but not sure i want to wait that long.
Ive recently bought a HTC Desire on orange contract and the phone appears to be debranded and unlocked. There is no evidence of orange applications in the menu and my other vodafone sim works with it too! Is there anyway to work out whether this has the generic HTC unbranded rom or not? And does that mean i will get the Froyo update when HTC release it?

I have the charger which plugs into the wall but has a USB port in the back so you can pull it out and easily connect to a PC. Have I screwed up something by constantly swapping it from a PC and plugging it into the wall?
I'm paranoid because I've got the bottom end of the charger stuck into my phone, I then stick it into my USB port - Should I be disconnecting it from my phone before connecting it to power so the phone doesn't screw up somehow?
Probably an old question, but if I want to get rid of the crummy Orange World "Internet" icon on my Desire, what are the options (other than rooting at the moment)?
Change to Opera/Dolphin or similar?
A nicer icon?
A nicer widget?
This isn't a /major/ problem but it will irritate me if I can't find a solution! How can I get rid of all the game demos that Orange have so thoughtfully installed on my Desire? I've had a look in Settings > Applications but the Uninstall option for these doesn't show up.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI am toying with the idea of putting a Froyo Rom on my desire, but have several questions that aren't answered in other posts.
1. Will I need to unlock my phone before, during or after changing the Rom? I am not overly bothered by the orange stuff on my phone, but am worried about losing my WiFi connections!
2. Do I need a goldcard? Some instructions say yes, other no. None mention orange handsets specifically.
3. Which is the easiest & safest method to root my phone, if I want to put the Froyo Rom on it?
4. What if I want to change Roms - do I need to do the whole process again? I've seen something about a Rom manager, but where do you get it and how does it work?
5. Which Rom do I use? I've looked at some I'd the modacco forum ROMs, but most don't actually say what you do or don't get with them.
6. What's that difference between a2sd and a2sd+? Does it come as part of the ROM or so I news to get it separately?
One of the nice things I had with my BB was an app that allowed you to modify the length, frequency, and color of your LED light notifications for when you had missed calls, emails, etc. That way you didn't have to bring the screen alive to know if you didn't hear the audible notification. The LED on the EVO seems to be pretty short and sometimes infrequent. I seem to keep bringing the screen alive to find I have missed emails etc. but the LED wasn't flashing at all. Has anyone found a good App that does this?
View 9 Replies View RelatedFor those (very very few of us) who have played with the Evo, can you tell me if there is an LED notification light on front?I am referring to when you get a new text message, or a missed call, so you dont have to turn on the screen.
View 43 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know how long your led light notification blinks for missed calls and text messages etc.I thought is was to blink until you checked the missed call or message.Mine is going off after 5 to 8 minutes without going into the phone and checking the missed call or text.Is this normal?

Is there a notification light on the Droid X? If so, does anyone know how to get it to work? I have looked in all of the settings and I can not find where to turn the notification lights on and yes, it does appear to have a notification light, I just can't get it to work.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have the android phone and have tried LED tester, blink, missed call and I think spare parts but nothing will change the LED color. Please help this is getting frustrating.
View 21 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to modify how long the LED light will flash when you have an unread message or email? I found several programs in the market but they only seemed concerned with "changing" the color of the light (which does not work) and how fast the light will flash. But none of them had a setting to make the LED flash for say 4 hours after I receive a message unless I check it.
