Could be simple, but how do I get Facebook to update more often? At present, on my main pc, I can have pages of messages etc yet on the phone, the last comment could have been made 2 days beforehand. Occasionally it updates at some unknown point.

Finally updated to Froyo last night and see that the facebook version is still 1.2, whereas the current version on the market is 1.3.2. Assume this is in the T-Mobile rom, but is there any way to uninstall it? Or if I install the current version will it go over the top (or will I end up with two versions?)

The facebook headlines from my friends do show up, but their pictures stay the same nomatter what. How do I update the contacts pictures automatically?
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy facebook has stopped working - the apps won't update with new information, and trying to access the main site through the browser brings up the 'bad ip - your ip address is linked to abusive behaviour blah blah ' facebook form. I've filled this in and am waiting to hear back, but was wondering if this could be due to the settings on my phone? it was working fine for the last month, so no idea what could have changed...
View 7 Replies View RelatedEven though I change my FB to update every 2 hrs and Flickr to once day, when I go back to check, FB always resets back to 'once a day' and Flickr resorts back to every hour.

My 'accounts & sync' settings have always had 'facebook' turned off for syncing, and I have never turned it on. Yet this morning i was playing around with the bit in 'people' to try and see if the facebook bit in there worked and i would be able to link a contact in there with their facebook account. It asked me to log into facebook (after which incidentally it could not then find the contact in facebook lol). After that i went to the calendar and it now shows ALL 2500 facebook contacts birthdays!!
Please tell me there is a way to undo this. at no point did i ever select auto facebook syncing, or choose to import facebook calendar. Obviously now the calendar is pretty unusable as there are multiple bithdays on every day.
My HTC Desire's Facebook directory lists 205 friends for my Facebook, while in reality I have 207 (and Facebook for Android app of course shows them all, too)I'm not quite sure why or how 2 of them have gone missing, but I think one went when I messed a bit up, merged 2 contacts on my phone and started removing information from that contact, so it in the end had only 1 number and 1 facebook friend linked to it. Ever since I haven't been able to see the friend whose contact/link I removed in Facebook directory.I've tried uninstalling Facebook for Android to access Facebook for HTC Sense, but apparently it can't be completely uninstalled - only the update(s) for it, and the cache/data can be uninstalled for what I can tell.
So I've uninstalled it's updates, I've cleared it data/cache - and I've cleared all the cache/data from Facebook for HTC Sense too.I've removed my phone-linked Facebook account, too, with no luck.No matter how many times I try re-syncing or refreshing, the 2 contacts are still missing.One new contact that I added as my friend today appeared normally, though.Any ideas how to fix this? It's annoying when I can't link 1 contact to her Facebook, when I have pretty much everyone else linked to theirs.
I'm a little confused as to how to differentiate between Facebook and Facebook for HTC Sense, which both can be found in Settings>Accounts & Sync.Does anybody know the difference between the two apps? Is the Sense version purely for the Friends Stream, as there's the same situation for Twitter?

I went to the marketplace and downloaded Facebook for Android to try and fix the problem. It does seem to have worked, however now my facebook widget will NOT update. It's so weird because under the actual facebook app everything is up to date in the news feed... but the widget is showing an old status update from several hours ago with no changes since. the really weird thing is that it has actually updated since I replaced Facebook for Android so I'm not sure if they are even related. I have tried changing my syncing settings several different ways but no change. What is going on?

I've updated it and every other person's picture updates but mine. I didn't know if there is something I could do to fix it. View 10 Replies View RelatedSo yesterday i went to my facebook app, a Captcha or whatever where you have to enter the letters correctly came up. I entered it correctly. Which the shit was weird cause never ever seen that before. Once i entered it, the app deleted itself and now i cant download it. But the facebook icon is still in my launcher and its the way older version. I am rooted with just the Revolution theme installed. I have Bootsrapper and rom manager. I also created a full back up before i installed REVOlution. Any one have any ideas on how to fix that?

View 3 Replies View RelatedLast night I noticed that the Facebook Widget displayed a message "update not available". If you clicked the "F" to go to your profile, newsfeed that worked. However the newsfeed that pushes to the widget stopped. I haven't changed my settings and everything else is updating regularly. I removed the widget, replaced it and it just shows up blank and the "F" no longer hot links. However, from the same program, I can add the shortcut to Facebook and that works.

If your facebook contact has changed their picture and you want to update it on your phone, go to People > Online Directory > Facebook > Click refresh. It updates everyones pictures so it may take a while if you have a lot of contacts.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSince the 2.2 update I have had double Facebook birthdays showing in my calendar. 1 from the old method of posting the URL in google calendars and the other from Facebook under the calendar option. After trying over and over to erase the original way from my phone with no luck, I decided to just delete my Gmail calendar all together and then reload it onto my phone. Once I did that, I restored my Gmail calendar and made sure the Facebook calendar option is checked. Now, I have NO Facebook birthdays at all. No matter how many times I check, uncheck and refresh the calendar, the birthdays refuse to come back.
