Aug 19, 2010On GMA this morning they announced Facebook just released location sharing for mobile phones. I'm assuming we'll get this in coming days.

Well, check your Market Downloads. There is finally an update available. I've only played with it for a few minutes but it seems to be a BIG improvement.

Sep 20, 2010Am just wondering if anyone is having any issues with Facebook updating at the moment? I'm on vodafone and when i try to refresh the news feed, i keep getting a "an error had occurred while fetching data (null)" message appearing. It's the original Facebook app on the phone, and i've never had any problems with it before, so am a little confused why it has suddenly stopped working. I haven't changed any settings or anything.

Aug 29, 2010I have been getting a weird "error fetching data [null]" type error for the past several days. I went to the marketplace and downloaded Facebook for Android to try and fix the problem. It does seem to have worked, however now my facebook widget will NOT update. It's so weird because under the actual facebook app everything is up to date in the news feed... but the widget is showing an old status update from several hours ago with no changes since. the really weird thing is that it has actually updated since I replaced Facebook for Android so I'm not sure if they are even related. I have tried changing my syncing settings several different ways but no change. What is going on?

Nov 13, 2010So yesterday i went to my facebook app, a Captcha or whatever where you have to enter the letters correctly came up. I entered it correctly. Which the shit was weird cause never ever seen that before. Once i entered it, the app deleted itself and now i cant download it. But the facebook icon is still in my launcher and its the way older version. I am rooted with just the Revolution theme installed. I have Bootsrapper and rom manager. I also created a full back up before i installed REVOlution. Any one have any ideas on how to fix that?

Apr 19, 2010Last night I noticed that the Facebook Widget displayed a message "update not available". If you clicked the "F" to go to your profile, newsfeed that worked. However the newsfeed that pushes to the widget stopped. I haven't changed my settings and everything else is updating regularly. I removed the widget, replaced it and it just shows up blank and the "F" no longer hot links. However, from the same program, I can add the shortcut to Facebook and that works.

Jul 1, 2010I'm not sure if anyone has already figured this out but I just did it by accident a few minutes ago. If your facebook contact has changed their picture and you want to update it on your phone, go to People > Online Directory > Facebook > Click refresh. It updates everyones pictures so it may take a while if you have a lot of contacts.

Oct 12, 2010Since the 2.2 update I have had double Facebook birthdays showing in my calendar. 1 from the old method of posting the URL in google calendars and the other from Facebook under the calendar option. After trying over and over to erase the original way from my phone with no luck, I decided to just delete my Gmail calendar all together and then reload it onto my phone. Once I did that, I restored my Gmail calendar and made sure the Facebook calendar option is checked. Now, I have NO Facebook birthdays at all. No matter how many times I check, uncheck and refresh the calendar, the birthdays refuse to come back.

Nov 22, 2010I attend to this error in notifications several times each day. I'm not asking it to update mind you. It's trying this all of it's smarty pants x10i self. When I actually do bring up the facebook application it acts ok. The one thing this x10i can't do is upgrade to adobe flashplayer. There are places that tell me I don't have video on my phone in order to view the news clip or whatever. It's not a big deal to me and don't really need it. It would be nice to turn off the facebook "unable to update" in my notifications, without removing facebook entirely.
