Hey guys i have been using the Facebook for HTC sense upto a few weeks ago but the new update just takes me to the web facebook which does not let me sign in, So are there any other good facebook apps out there? Cheers =]

It has the best facebook app on its homepage and IMO it is way superior to any out there.The browsing is super fast and you have the ability to download videos from your favorite sites to your sd card. Probably my favorite app side from personal assistant.

or is there another way to get full facebook without having to use the Internet browser every time?
My 'accounts & sync' settings have always had 'facebook' turned off for syncing, and I have never turned it on. Yet this morning i was playing around with the bit in 'people' to try and see if the facebook bit in there worked and i would be able to link a contact in there with their facebook account. It asked me to log into facebook (after which incidentally it could not then find the contact in facebook lol). After that i went to the calendar and it now shows ALL 2500 facebook contacts birthdays!!
Please tell me there is a way to undo this. at no point did i ever select auto facebook syncing, or choose to import facebook calendar. Obviously now the calendar is pretty unusable as there are multiple bithdays on every day.
My HTC Desire's Facebook directory lists 205 friends for my Facebook, while in reality I have 207 (and Facebook for Android app of course shows them all, too)I'm not quite sure why or how 2 of them have gone missing, but I think one went when I messed a bit up, merged 2 contacts on my phone and started removing information from that contact, so it in the end had only 1 number and 1 facebook friend linked to it. Ever since I haven't been able to see the friend whose contact/link I removed in Facebook directory.I've tried uninstalling Facebook for Android to access Facebook for HTC Sense, but apparently it can't be completely uninstalled - only the update(s) for it, and the cache/data can be uninstalled for what I can tell.
So I've uninstalled it's updates, I've cleared it data/cache - and I've cleared all the cache/data from Facebook for HTC Sense too.I've removed my phone-linked Facebook account, too, with no luck.No matter how many times I try re-syncing or refreshing, the 2 contacts are still missing.One new contact that I added as my friend today appeared normally, though.Any ideas how to fix this? It's annoying when I can't link 1 contact to her Facebook, when I have pretty much everyone else linked to theirs.
I'm a little confused as to how to differentiate between Facebook and Facebook for HTC Sense, which both can be found in Settings>Accounts & Sync.Does anybody know the difference between the two apps? Is the Sense version purely for the Friends Stream, as there's the same situation for Twitter?

To be clear, I want an app with widget that can display on a screen, not an app that you have to browse to, then open, and then view a list of feeds.What I'm looking for is something like the native News app but something that actually works! I know there are a couple of threads for this, but they all recommend expensive ones.I've never shopped for earphones before, have always used the ones supplied with the devices. So what do I have to look for? The stock earphones are not great for noisy environments, so I would like something with noise isolation.
View 13 Replies View RelatedSo after all the horror stories about battery life I was kinda worried about my new Desire especially as I am a full brightness, 3G loving kinda man. But having got the phone on saturday, I have found it quite good. I mean, I played with it almost constantly for about 8 hours, and I still had 30% charge left.
Normal usage would be maybe an 2 hours or so per day, so i don't think there is any danger I'm gonna run outta juice at work. Also, when sleeping, I don't seem to lose any battery power at all, despite the experiences of others. Anyone else think the battery problems are overblown?
I had an HTC Desire (actually I had 4) before I got a refund due to a whole host of technical problems. Given that the problems I encountered don't seem to be widespread (mostly concerning the vibrate mechanism failing), I am thinking I may have just got caught up in a bad batch and am considering trying again.I tried other phones but nothing really compares to the Desire at the moment. The iPhone 4 looks nicer, but the OS bores me to death and it seems there are far more technical problems with the iPhone than the Desire at the moment.I have looked around for other upcoming phones and, aside from the Evo 4g which is not in the UK, I can see no other alternatives to the desire. Am I missing any other options?I don't consider the Galaxy S an alternative as it looks and feels like a cheap plastic toy.

Like every other headset I got with phone it appears to have music control buttons but they won't work with music application that's built in to the phone. What I mean exactly is non of the button on headset does anything like pause/play, forward or backward however it does work for hanning up calls u make. Is it suppose to not work with music or something wrong with mine?
View 1 Replies View RelatedDon't get me wrong, I didn't get a desire for gaming (i think we have got a long way to go before Android is a viable gaming platform), but I am sometimes surprised by the Desire's inability to run some games properly. Snapdragon processors seem very good at number crunching, but struggle with graphics. Look at the Quake 2 comparison of the Galaxy S and the Desire. of course, the Galaxy S is going to win, but I was surprised just how bad the Desire game out. can't have been more than 3-5 frames per second. I have seen this in other areas to, like the recent Sims 3 conversion for Snapdragon processors. Again, once things get a bit busy on the screen, the snapdragon simply starts to drop a ton of frames. So, are we seeing devs not optimising games for snapdragon processors? Or are snapdragons simply no good for games? That said, raging thunder 2 runs quite well. Like I said, this is more out of interest than anything else. Really like the Desire and never intended to do much 3d gaming on it, but some early results have been a little disappointing.

I normally use sennheiser CX300 II's, are they as good as these or better? I need to get some more headphones as mine are knackered. I was going to order a pair of CX300's for when my Desire arrives, but if the ones supplied are as good, then I'll not bother and save the $$$.

I've been living off my wife's old contract phones for years and I always hated going into stores to look at phone as sales people always tried to sell me stuff I didn't want / need. I've now decided it's time to invest in a Desire with a contract (T-Mobile). Their �10 a month for 100 mins & txt (phone �164) is tempting but I probably prefer 600 mins & unlimited text for �21.35 (after redemption) from buymobilephones.net How's the best way to approach a sales person in a store bearing in mind that I'm a new customer? Are they fairly flexible when it comes to discussing contracts? I just fancy walking in and asking if they can match a certain contract deal on the internet!?

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy friend has an ipod. He has bought an FM transmitter for his Ipod which lets him play it through his radio by tuning into the set frequency. It worked reallywell. I am looking to get one of these and wanted to know if you can get them for HTC phones. I have seen the generic ones which plug into the earphone socket, but ideally wanted one which connected to the bottom of the my Desire via the micro USB so i had no wires anywhere. the Ipod/iphone one my mate has just clips onto the bottom using the charging port. Also, has anyone found a good site for HTC accessories?
