View 9 RepliesI started using Pure Calendar today and love it.here is a "Select Update Frequency" setting that can change from 6 hours to "When Calendar is Modified."I left mine on 6 hours to begin with, but I have noticed that when I modify my Exchange or my Google Calendar (on my phone OR on my computer), the Pure Calendar widget updates almost instantly.Anybody know why? Is it a bug in the Widget? Or is it supposed to update the Widget instantly despite being set to 6 hours?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a ROOTED chinese brand phone with the MTk6575 CPU (1 GHZ) with android 2.3.6 installed on it, and am trying to improve the phone's battery life by scaling down the CPU frequency. But out of all the apps I have tried (SetCPU, No-Frills, Android Overclock) none of them is able to read the CPU Governor or current CPU frequency. My question is could we change this frequency directly by editing any of the files inside the /system folder or is there any other security setting that prevents these apps from reading or changing the CPU frequencies?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am asking this because recently bought a BLU VIVO D910a phone from U.S., it has Android 4.0 firmware and its 3G Network is HSDPA 850 / 1900.
I made a big mistake, because the country where I currently live and work (Montenegro) uses 2100 3G network. I shoud have ordered the international version of BLU Vivo, the D910i which has HSDPA 850 / 2100. So, currently I cannot make use of the 3G data capability of my new phone
My question is: if I get the firmware (or just the modem.bin) of D910i and flash it to my phone will I change by this way the 3G frequency or it is hardware-dependent?
Does anyone know of an app that can test what frequencies are being used in the area? I'm trying to figure out if something is interfering with my wireless router, and if so what it is. I've got "WiFi analyzer", but that doesn't show anything other than wireless signals directly from routers, even though a cordless phone runs on the same basic frequency.
In other words, I'd like to find an app that shows what frequencies are present near my phone, including what my phone is putting out. Is that possible?
I put a new SD card in my phone, and when I connected it to my laptop via USB, it started making a very high pitched, annoying, noise....it continued until the drivers had installed, then it stopped instantly.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAs "Allow Automatic updates" is checked I would have thought that the update should download ....... erm . automatically. Nothing happened. until I stated to download something else from the Marketplace and hey presto down came the Maps update. This is the second time this has happened. I can only assume that by initiating a download the Desire is synched with the Market, but this doesn't occur by just browsing the Market.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI have set my updates for Peep and Facebook and Freindstream for every 30 mins, but in order for this to work I need to constantly be connected to wifi or mobile web. I am fine with this, but it makes the battery die so quickly. Any way I can make my phone auto connect to wifi or mobile web to do the updates, and then auto connect. Also, any decent facebook app that isnt the default one? I have also read that you can set different profiles up for work or home etc.
View 7 Replies View Relatedwaiting for TMobile to reissue their OTA update to 1.21.110.4 so wanted to install it myself. Am desperate to install it as have read in couple of places on XDA forums that it increases the media volume which is a big issue on my device (yes, yes I know some of you get blown away by yours but trust me I'm not deaf or stupid, it's just ridiculously quiet). Anyway I have managed to download a zip of the update but am confused as to what to do next.

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust wondering if there's a way to uninstall application updates? Anything short of using something like Titanium Backup for all apps before letting them update? Basically, I have a widget that's been updated to support 'night mode' - now I can't see the details over my wallpaper Obviously re-installing the app from the Market will already contain the update .

I've been using my Desire with no issues for about 6 weeks and update notifications have worked perfectly, but this week I've recieved 3 different 'updates available' notifications, but clicking on them takes me to the list of installed apps where no updates are highlighted.
Searching the forums identifies this as having been a problem with other phones models (HTC and Motorola) after firmware updates, but I don't think that can be the issue here. Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions as to cause or fix?
I'm new to Android. What happens when there are updates available to apps that I've installed from the market, and the pre-installed apps? Do I have to update it manually, and how? Or do they get updated automatically? I read that a new version of Google Maps is out, but I don't know how to update. My version does not display driving directions.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI tried sync-ing my contact book for my facebook contact updates but it showed no updates even after a few days, but my contacts do have updates on actual Facebook. So I thought I'd try to delete off my account from Accounts&Sync and re-add my account again after a few minutes. After re-adding the account, my friend stream works fine, sync-ed as per normal but when I click on my contacts book/people and tried to link my contacts to their facebook, it showed a blank list and words in the middle showing "No matches found", in other words, I don't have friends?I waited for a hours and tried to re-add and sync again but still can't link my contacts to their facebook because it doesn't show up any facebook link for me to link to my contacts no matter how I try.I resetted my phone back to factory defaults and tried again but it's still the same.
View 7 Replies View RelatedHas anyone found any software that will provide bluetooth 'dial up networking' support on the Desire, as required for Satnavs like the Tomtoms that use bluetooth DUN to retrieve traffic updates (and other Tomtom Plus functionality)?
I don't really want to root my phone or replace ROMs. tPDANet seemed very hopeful (as posted elsewhere: tPDANet enables Bluetooth DUN on Droid!), but although it fooled my Tomtom into believing that the Desire supported bluetooth DUN, the Tomtom failed to complete its setup. (Tomtom users may be familiar with the long pauses on 85% or so before the Tomtom gives up - very irritating!)
Hey folks, I have a rooted desire witba customer. ROM installed. On The marketplace it is saying that there's an update for both of the aforementioned apps. However, when I try to install them it always fails. These are The only 2 that seem to be a problem.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThere's a new version of Facebook available on the Market, but because the Desire comes with the official Facebook app already installed it doesn't prompt you to update it.When you click to install the version on the Market, the phone is clever enough detect the preinstalled one and applies it as an update, so you don't end up with two Facebook apps in the phone menu or Manage Apps menu. After installing it the Manage Apps option changes from 'Clear data' to 'Uninstall updates' and the version has gone from 114 to 121. You'll also notice that the 'Take photo' tile has now been replaced with 'Inbox'. There's still no option to tag people in images.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem with the Friend Stream widget. It seems that one of my FB friends does not appear on Friend Stream. I do not see any of her updates. I can only see her FB updates when I use the FB app. I cannot see her in my list of FB friends in Friend Stream either. It seems to not be updating properly on the people widget either. Tried to resync. I even tried deleting my FB account in Friend Stream and adding it back in. This only happened with this one friend. I use to be able to see her updates, but she seemed to have disappeared from Friend Stream a couple of days ago.
