Hey folks, I have a rooted desire witba customer. ROM installed. On The marketplace it is saying that there's an update for both of the aforementioned apps. However, when I try to install them it always fails. These are The only 2 that seem to be a problem.

I tried sync-ing my contact book for my facebook contact updates but it showed no updates even after a few days, but my contacts do have updates on actual Facebook.So I thought I'd try to delete off my account from Accounts&Sync and re-add my account again after a few minutes.After re-adding the account, my friend stream works fine, sync-ed as per normal but when I click on my contacts book/people and tried to link my contacts to their facebook, it showed a blank list and words in the middle showing "No matches found", in other words, I don't have friends?I waited for a hours and tried to re-add and sync again but still can't link my contacts to their facebook because it doesn't show up any facebook link for me to link to my contacts no matter how I try.I resetted my phone back to factory defaults and tried again but it's still the same.
View 7 Replies View RelatedThere's a new version of Facebook available on the Market, but because the Desire comes with the official Facebook app already installed it doesn't prompt you to update it.When you click to install the version on the Market, the phone is clever enough detect the preinstalled one and applies it as an update, so you don't end up with two Facebook apps in the phone menu or Manage Apps menu. After installing it the Manage Apps option changes from 'Clear data' to 'Uninstall updates' and the version has gone from 114 to 121. You'll also notice that the 'Take photo' tile has now been replaced with 'Inbox'. There's still no option to tag people in images.
View 49 Replies View RelatedI seen to have a problem installing and updating pretty much all apps from the market. I am running anbranded and unrooted desire on 2.2. I have successfully downloaded nearly 50 apps from the market but recently it doesn't seem to install any apps including updates. I did find one that was ok (retro camera which I tried just to see) but it wont update sppedview, folder organizer lite or quick system info pro. It also doesn't seem to want to let me install quite a few other apps that I have tried (some alarm apps and some poker ones).

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have friendstream running, and it seems to update twitter just fine, but for some odd reason facebook status messages don't get updated unless I manually refresh.
I have double checked everything too, it should be checking every hour, so I have no clue what is going on. Anyone else experiencing this? Or does anyone know of a solid workaround?
when i update my status from the app on my phone (droid x), it only shows up on MY wall and not on the usual list that my friends see...I have deleted the app, re-downloaded, clear data, etc. On facebook on the PC, under account settings and "other applications" where facebook for android would be listed, it is NOT there...so that may be the problem, but why isn't is showing up in the list?

Is there any way to update your status with any facebook app or the moblie site and attach a picture to it? This should be something easy. It is so frustrating. Is there any way of doing this other than opening up the full site on another browser. I really don't want to deal with the full site, I just want to update my status and attach a pic? going into the gallery and sharing it that way unloads it to your facebook albums but there is no way to link to it when posting a status update.
second query of the day, but for the past week or so I've been unable to download new apps or install updates to my existing ones. I updated firmware to 1.5 about a month ago and I have installed apps since then with success, I just can't do it now. Argh! It's really annoying.Are there settings I can check, or change the way it downloads? I'm trying to download over secure wifi and it doesn't seem to matter if the battery's fully charged or not.

Like friends girlfriends, chicks you hooked up with years ago, etc, that if you delete they will talk a bunch of trash about. View 2 Replies View RelatedAny other Tweeters gettin tired of Twidroid? The dev had it perfect, in my opinion, about a month or two ago.
Since then, there's been this odd bug where sometimes you can't update, in fact, MOST of the time you can't update normally. You have to uninstall it first and then install the new version. And their solution is just to "suggest" this in the description.
Last week they had two updates and I had to install them 3-4 times each before they would work. I'd install, have it running and get told "there's a new update!" which is actually just the same update. Now when you tap exit it asks you "do you want to clear your username, password, and cache now?" If you press "no" it doesn't exit.
Unistalling/reinstalling wouldn't be such a huge deal except you have to re-enable it, re-enter your login info, and do all your settings over. By default it saves the cache to the phone, so you have to switch it to the SD card. By default it's going to check every 5 minutes and drain your battery, by default it doesn't show full messages in the notification shade, etc, etc...
It's a shame, as it worked perfectly with statusinator (for facebook). So, I could update my facebook status in statusinator and have automatically ask me if I wanted it copied to twitter, too.
But since statusinator doesn't work with cupcake, and appears to have been abandoned by the dev some time ago, I'm looking for a new twitter client.
I'm not going to pay for a client. I find it ridiculous for someone to expect me to pay for an app that runs a free service. That's like paying someone to turn on my television and change the channels.
I'm trying BuddyMob and twittered and they're both "okay" so far. Anything that's awesome, does notifications, and has a connection for facebook status updates?
We wanted to follow-up. By now, you should have noticed that the installs metrics for your applications have been restored. We identified the problem as occurring with application updates only, have made some changes recently that should resolve and prevent this problem. Please let us know if this error persists.
If we can assist you further, please let us know. In my case, things have not changed at all. Downloads are increasing (1550) and active installs stabilized at 29% (the value before the drop was 44/45%). So, indeed active installs are increasing again - 29% is stable since three weeks - but the original percentage was not restored. Now, I don't know what to think... Maybe the problem is not solved, maybe in my specific case the active installs really dropped for a while (but it's curious that it only happened for a while...). BTW, I didn't release any new upgrade since then (I have a new one almost ready, but I'm beyond schedule because of personal problems) - and maybe the count would fix itself with new upgrades...
What would you do now? Is there anybody else for which the problem was not solved?

When i update my phone through the update software, i follow all steps correct and after downloading, and installation to the phone till about 99% of progress installation, says always "Failed to install updates" and i remove cable and restart the phone, it installs and customize the system, it says every time updates availble after that..

Logcat says: at.tomtasche.altitude requires unavailable shared library com.google.android.maps; failing! I developed an app with google maps before and there it works fine. And yes i have the uses-library android:name="com.google.android.maps" in the application tag of my manifest. It also works in the emulator, just my device dont install it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was unable to install Maps.apk into emulator cupcake. I've tried 2 method, both are failure. 1. adb install Maps.apk --> [INSTALL_FAILED_MISSING_SHARED_LIBRARY] 2. Copy Maps.apk to /system/app/, com.google.android.maps.jar to / system/framework/, com.google.android.maps.xml to /etc/permissions/ Map application is still invisible, can anyone help me how to accomplish this issue. Or there's other security issue?

I do have the maps app on my system however, but in the market it says its not installed. As of now im fine with it not being installed but when there is an update there might be a problem. View 5 Replies View RelatedMy 'accounts & sync' settings have always had 'facebook' turned off for syncing, and I have never turned it on. Yet this morning i was playing around with the bit in 'people' to try and see if the facebook bit in there worked and i would be able to link a contact in there with their facebook account. It asked me to log into facebook (after which incidentally it could not then find the contact in facebook lol). After that i went to the calendar and it now shows ALL 2500 facebook contacts birthdays!!
Please tell me there is a way to undo this. at no point did i ever select auto facebook syncing, or choose to import facebook calendar. Obviously now the calendar is pretty unusable as there are multiple bithdays on every day.
