I am having problems with the calender changing the days I have appointments set for. I set a b-day appointment for the 29th and was looking yesterday and it said it was set for the first. I deleted it and started over with the 29th, check this morning and it says the 1st again.

Even though I change my FB to update every 2 hrs and Flickr to once day, when I go back to check, FB always resets back to 'once a day' and Flickr resorts back to every hour.
Anyone else had this?
I am completely new to the Android experience, but so far am loving it. I have synchronized my phone with my exchange server and appear to have lost most of my appointments, and some of the ones that I didn't loose have replicated themselves many times. Does anyone know what caused this, how to stop it, and is it possible to recover the lost appointments? I know I had a lot of things scheduled for this week, but with the exception of a few things that have either been there for a long time or are reoccurring appointments, they are all gone.

Happened twice today, had to manually delete the draft copy. Shows up in the phone drafts and online in draft folders. Its getting annoying.

I'm desperately after a decent planner/Calender App for the Desire. One that ISN'T linked to Google Calendar.
Ideally I'm looking for one where the planner has colour coded bars for events like a traditional wall planner. These would be linked to the calendar itself.
I've tried most of the calendar apps out there, but I've not found one that's suitable. Also if I search for planner, I get all different kinds of planners, just not a basic universal one.
As the title says really, as from tomorrow, all my facebook friends birthdays are showing as double, all birthdays pre today are still showing as single.... Now i really do need a fix to this, cos it is gonna cost me a packet if i have to get everyone double gifts and cards.....
If anyone know what this anomaly is, could you please share the fix...
Can every post their battery usage of the calender, My calender is taking up around 70% of my battery and i barely have any apps installed. It is making the lifespan of a charge a nightmare.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an ImageView in which the picture switches every 5s, i am trying to add a pause and resume button that can stop and restart the action. i am using a Handler, Runnable, and postDelay() for image switch, and i put the code on onResume. i am thinking about using wait and notify for the pause and resume, but that would mean creating an extra thread. so far for the thread, i have this:

The pause button seems to work, but then after that i can't press any other button, such as the resume button.
I have contact pictures for my contacts that I have chosen and assigned to my contacts manually and are stored as the Google contact picture, I have an issue with the facebook app when it syncs a facebook profile picture update the application forces the contacts default picture to be the facebook picture.
I don't want it to do this, it can change the facebook linked contact picture but why does it have to change the contacts default picture?? Is there some way this can be blocked or stopped from within Android contacts??
This has been prevalent since before I can remember with the facebook app and sync. Surely submitting a bug to facebook is not the solution as we SHOULD be able to control and/or lock portions of our contacts details..
When I crop a wallpaper from a photo where does it get saved so that I can use it again? Used file explorer but can't find it.

I added a test appt to see how that worked - I have a monthly view selected at the mo and it shows the month and year and the days of the week across the top, but the actual calendar part of it has not dates showing at all. Is this due to the skin that I selected and should I download/select a better (and nicer-looking!) one? If so where do you recommend that has good ones?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am new to android and coming from a pre like many of you.I was wondering if there is way with android to display movie times and dates in your calendar we were able to using synergy with the pre.When I would use flixster or fandango and look at upcoming movies, there was a feature where I can select "add to calendar" and voila! that movie scheduled date would show up in my calendar. It was pretty sweet and set as a reminder for me to know when that scheduled movie date and time were.
