Currently using Dolphin HD on my desire. When using the soft search button is there anyway of changing it to search via Google.co.UK and not Google.com. Its really annoying when your search results are all for American sites. The stock desire browser uses co.UK but I much prefer Dolphin HD.

Is there any way to use the heros search button to perform a google search in dolphin browser? It's a big drawback at the moment.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI Just installed the Dolphin browser instead of Steel as I was using before. So uninstalled Steel, but have a little problem now. When I press the search button on my home screen and search for anything, it opens the default browser and searches, and not Dolphin. How do I change this? Thought it would ask for which app it needed to execute the order with, as it did at other places it would go online, but not here. Has been in the manage applications and delete the default browser to be default, and inside settings in the dolphin browser and the check it to be default, but it does not work.

I'm curious why anyone would use the Google Search box (and take up that home screen space) when all you have to do is press the magnifying glass for the same feature (and on any home screen, without having to scroll back to the widget). A long-press opens voice search, so I see no benefit in even using the widget at all.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSince I've set Dolphin as my default browser, when I click on a link to search for an app in the market I get a not found error. For instance, there is a link in Documents to Go (the paid key file) that is supposed to take you to the market to download the actual Documents to Go apps when I click on that link it opens the Dolphin browser and then there is a not found error. Before I set Dolphin as the default those types of links would open the market place to the application.

Everything works fine except that all google search results post UK based urls, rather than US and local search results. I have Google settings to remember my location but I cannot figure out to stop this from happening. It happens using the google search button or when using a bookmarked google web page.

For the record, I have already restarted my phone several times, and even taken the battery out to be sure. Anyhow, I have upgraded to Froyo 2.2 and after that update, I updated my Dolphin Browser. I have Google as my homepage, and now, every single time I open Dolphin, and it goes to Google, I get a popup from Google saying it wants permission to know my location. I have made sure the green check mark is checked, that indicates it wants to remember this action. Yet every time I log on, it asks me for my location each and every time.

On the stock browser there is an option to force it not to go to the mobile version of a website. Is there an option on dolphin to do this? Currently when I go to facebook it takes me to the touch facebook site.
