Tried to send a text to a group yesterday. The group has 14 people in it.
My desire said it was limited to 10 people.
Anyway around this, or have I just not found a setting somewhere.

I'm having issues with sending text messages to a few people and they aren't even all on the same carrier.I have been using CM 5.0.6.1 and really haven't had any problem until today.I switched to the stock 2.1 with root because i thought that maybe it was the rom and still these people can't receive my text messages they can send me messages and I receive them but I cannot send them out.I have reactivated my phone twice now and nothing has worked.Any help would be much appreciated.I know I said in the title i can't receive them but I can sorry i'm kind of tired at the moment.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been using Google Voice on my Env Touch for about a year now but only mainly for the sms transcriptions as the Env Touch doesn't have an app for it.
So, here's my main problem. All of my contacts are just in my phone. I don't have anyone's email address as all I do mainly is txt people or send them a message on facebook. I'm wanting to add all of my contacts to my gmail account so when I get my Incredible everything will be there. Right now my sms from GV just has the number and I actually don't know any of my friends numbers, they're just in my phone. *yes, technology can be a sort of burden at times* So I don't have a clue who the voicemail is from until I call into it. Is there any easy way of porting all these contacts from either my phone, backup assistant, or facebook? Also, do android phones take your contacts and your facebook and merge them into your gmail account?
Does anyone know how to send the same text to multiple people at the same time?

1. I received a text message from my credit card company, who are not in my contacts list. The phone has listed the sender as a random facebook contact who is not in my 'people' list. How has this happened and how can I fix it?
2. I have used some of my friends facebook profile photos in my people list. However, when they update their profile picture, the photo does not change on my phone. Can I do anything about this?
My HTC Desire was running well but I've developed a really irritating issue which seems to have started since the Froyo update (O2). Quite often when I send text/sms messages I get the Unable To Send error warning in the top left of the main screen. At first I was hitting the Resend option all the time but it keeps coming back and I noticed that if I check my text messages All Messages box then the message has actually been sent, yet the Unable to Send message persists until I use the Clear option. Has anyone else noticed the same thing?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using my HTC Desire without a problem but for the last couple of weeks I have been getting unable to send notifications when sending texts. This can be almost instantly after hitting the send button. I'm on three. My friend has the same handset and he is on oange and is getting the same thing so is this a handset thing or are we both doing something wrong. If you leave the desire to do it's stuff it will send it. On other occasions it goes no problem.

For some reason I can't text people with an iPhone. I still have the 4S and I turned iMessage off. I went on the Apple Support site and looked at the devices and clicked the "X" to unregister my phone and my macbook.

I recently wanted to group text with people with iphones and one blackberry and needless to say it was a disaster. I have tried both the stock messaging app and SMS go, and both fail miserably when receiving and sending texts that are in a group thread, I receive them all separately and send them all separately. Is there an app to do this?

Anyone have this issue where some people do not get your sent text messages? I seem to receive text messages without problems but sending text messages does not get to certain people. One colleague at work who is on ATT can send me a text but does not receive mine in return. Similar stories for some other contacts of mine and some are on Verizon as well.

I want to have the choice of selecting who I want to receive the text after I write it... has any one felt the same way?? Has some tried to solve this "problem"

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have the HTC Hero from Sprint. Great little phone. I'm having issues with texting. Here's my scenario.I receive a text from Facebook stating someone wrote on my wall. The from id is 123456789. I then get a text from a friend George. In the list view of of my texts George's text showing under the Facebook number. When I press on the Facebook name it shows the text from Facebook then from George. If I reply it goes to Facebook not George.It also happens under different users, appears to be very random and is causing issues as I'm trying to quickly reply, forget to check who it's going to, then I text someone something I shouldn't have. Not cool.Any ideas how to fix it? I downloaded Handcent SMS as well and that is having the same issue so it appears to be a root droid issue.

I have a new htc desire and I want to:
1. Understand the difference between Contacts and People in the phone? What I mean by that is under the list of programs there is one called " People " if i click that I see I can add people with ( phone, email and birthdate )Yet I also see on my 2nd screen a widget called " Favourites " which says Add contacts and when I hit add contacts it already has a list of names and emails that I totally dont recall adding but I do recognize. I believe it pulled them from my gmail account, So i have deleted them in gmail as I dont need them, but is there a way to delete them all in one go in the phone?
2. What is the best way to add peoples phone numbers in the htc desire? what steps should I take
Got a Desire last week, and it's my first smartphone so am on a bit of a learning curve, but the phone does rock.
Anyway, I'm a little confused with regards to the People Widget.
I have it configured on one of my home screens and its linked to my Gmail contacts account. I have set my favourites (grouped as 'Starred in Android')
and synched the favourites to go to that group when you first set it up.
Now, the phone also has 3 duplicate contacts in the list - all of the duplicates look like they've come from Facebook, but I can't get rid of them from the list.
At first I thought that the phone was trying to synch my gmail contacts with my facebook contacts, but then it hasn't done all of my Facebook contacts that match the contacts in my Gmail.
I'm a bit confused as to how they've got in there.
I've tried resysnching Gmail and Facebook, removed the People widget and re-added it, I've checked everything in my Gmail contacts but can't see anything un-toward, I've tried having background data sync enabled and disabled whilst trying to remove these to no avail.
I still can't seem to remove these 3 duplicate entries.
I'm really interested in buying a Desire although, unlike some, I intend to buy the phone outright with no contract as I already have a contract I am happy with.However, despite people saying this phone is cheaper than the iPhone, average prices are about 400 which is about the same price you can pick up a 16gb 3Gs. So, am I missing something? Whilst here, am I correct in thinking HTC offer a 2 year Warranty? For 400 I would like at least some safety in case it breaks through no fault of my own.
