General :: Phone Is Spamming Contacts Via Text?
Jun 27, 2013I downloaded an app. Then started spamming everyone in my contacts. So I deleted it and people are still receiving text. What do i do about something like this. I deleted the app already and installed anti virus' but I'm not sure if it's still sending or not...

Apr 25, 2010I've been using Google Voice on my Env Touch for about a year now but only mainly for the sms transcriptions as the Env Touch doesn't have an app for it.
So, here's my main problem. All of my contacts are just in my phone. I don't have anyone's email address as all I do mainly is txt people or send them a message on facebook. I'm wanting to add all of my contacts to my gmail account so when I get my Incredible everything will be there. Right now my sms from GV just has the number and I actually don't know any of my friends numbers, they're just in my phone. *yes, technology can be a sort of burden at times* So I don't have a clue who the voicemail is from until I call into it. Is there any easy way of porting all these contacts from either my phone, backup assistant, or facebook? Also, do android phones take your contacts and your facebook and merge them into your gmail account?

For some reason I can't text people with an iPhone. I still have the 4S and I turned iMessage off. I went on the Apple Support site and looked at the devices and clicked the "X" to unregister my phone and my macbook.
Im still not able to receive texts from people with an iphone. I can send them messages but can not get them back. I am also able to send and receive calls.

Jan 22, 2012I have a group of friends who get together once a week to play a home poker league tournament.I have to text them (20) every week to confirm the game and start time, and who's coming.
Apparently, I'm told, Verizon has a limit of 10 max text messages at once (or maybe it is 'built into' the android phone? ) I have a galaxy s / samsung fascinate phone with android 2.3
How can send all of my messages at once? It is a hassle to send multiple mssgs each week. Is there an Android APP that can somehow get around this limitation?
General :: Group Text With People With IPhones?
Jan 19, 2012I recently wanted to group text with people with iphones and one blackberry and needless to say it was a disaster. I have tried both the stock messaging app and SMS go, and both fail miserably when receiving and sending texts that are in a group thread, I receive them all separately and send them all separately. Is there an app to do this?

Jun 3, 2010Sometimes when I receive messages it makes the notification sound and will show message in notification bar but the text of the message will not appear in the text thread. Used to happen every once in a while, now doing it multiple times a day. I use Handcent but I doubt that is the problem because the messages dont show up in the regular messaging either. Just want to see if i am alone with this problem.

Oct 2, 2010I recently got my wife an LG Ally because her add-on line was ready to upgrade and she wanted to try something new. She had a BB Curve before and didn't want to go for the free ugprade with the new Curve. I've had an HTC Incredible and for the most part love it. I knew that the LG Ally wasn't as "powerful" as the HTC Incredible. My wife told me today that her Ally sometimes won't send txt messages or will send more than one of the same txt message. She also complained about it being slow. What can I do to get rid of this problem for her? I was considering running the Task Killer although I know Android has its own way of managing memory and running applications so I didn't know if running Task Killer would actually do anything. I think its getting to the point where she is getting frustrated with the phone and I may have to return it, if it is even possible, after her having it just a few days. Any thoughts?

Mar 2, 2010I am thinking there is probably a solution to this but I am unable to find it. When you are on the phone and receive a text I do not get any sort of alert. Previous phones would give me a beep or something to let me know I had gotten a text. However if your phone is set to vibrate as well as ring when you get a text the vibrations still go off but without any noise. It wouldnt be a big deal except the vibrate noise apparently is very audible and annoying to whoever you are on the phone with. I am one of the few who really like the stock messaging application so I am not using hancent or anything like that. Any ideas would be appreciated

Delete contact and re-enter the contact.

Oct 4, 2010Ive searched through the forums, and no one seems to have this exact question. When everyone other than my girlfriend texts me, my phone vibrates and plays the notification sound. Now, when my girlfriend texts me, I get no vibration, AND no sound. The only thing I could think of is that I gave my girlfriend a custom ringtone I made with ringdroid, but that wouldn't make any sense since its for a call, not a text. Please help me, shes getting mad at me when I respond 2 hours later.

Sep 19, 2010I took my phone out of sleep mode to respond to a text message, only to find I couldn't get the keyboard into landscape mode. I then found that the trackball wasn't working, and the phone seemed as if it was moving through puddy. When I tried putting it to sleep, the screen would dim but not go black. I eventually had to remove the battery to resolve the issue. The next day, the same thing happened.
Both times, the issue happened at around 8 o'clock. I thought thru what apps I had downloaded recently, and looked through Astrid To-Do. I found it had scheduled back-ups at 8 o'clock. I turned that off, hoping that it would fix my problems. The next day, at 8 o'clock, my phone randomly restarted. That was all. No overheating, no hanging, and it booted up just fine. The next day, it rebooted again, but I don't know if it was around 8 o'clock. Today, just about an hour ago at 2:30, it rebooted again, with no overheating or any other problems.
I'm at a loss about what could be causing this. I uninstalled Astrid To-Do app completely now, but I'll have to wait to make sure that fixed anything. I have about 7 days left before my 30 day return policy kicks in, but I moved to Boston from Iowa to go to college, and I would have to mail it back, which I would prefer not to do (cost and time without a phone being the major issues).
