Does anyone know how I can fix this without having to reinstall the ROM again? Inoticed that when I receive and SMS with handcent the blue led light does not come on and I constantly have to check if I have any sms's, I've tried every colour under the handcent settings but none make my LED come on when I receive an sms. The LED does work however when charging and getting missed calls.

I've got an HTC Desire from a T-Mobile store 3 weeks ago. The ambient light sensor has never worked and it's enabled on the display settings.
I went back to the T-Mobile store and they tried a brand new unit. Unfortunately, that one also seem to have the same issue. Then I called the HTC technical support and they say there are no reports on such kind of issue.
If not, does the display brightness get adjusted quickly or slowly?
All of a sudden my notify light displays a constant blue light when the phone is put to sleep. I've uninstalled Chomp and I do not have any social networking apps installed nor do I have accounts synced to the phone. All messages on my phone have been read.

View 40 Replies View RelatedI had no clue what it was until I checked the nav bar, and saw it was a facebook update. Wow, I thought, maybe they fixed the facebook app in the background without forcing me to update. Haven't seen the blue light since, and it has been 2 days and 7-9 notifications later.
Any idea when they will fix the facebook app? Or better yet, any idea how I got it to light up once randomly? It was somebody posting a comment on my wall post fyi (and the notifications still don't refresh in the app itself). Also, why can't I view linked youtube videos from other peoples comments? Obviously the droid can use youtube, so it seems odd that they wouldn't let you watch posted videos.
How can I change the system default light blue color? I'd like to make it some sort of green. I'm talking about the light blue in such icons in the attached screen shots as the battery icon, the keyboard words, and the bottom bar when pulling down the notification tray. I assume it's just one setting somewhere because it's all the same blue. I am using Nova Launcher and would prefer not to root but might if necessary. I'm using the latest version of Jelly Bean on a Nexus 4

I wrote the following code:

In the manifest file I have added the following lines in manifest, application, activity and the service element:

But I am still getting the error. It is obvious that I am making some mistake defining the permissions. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? I am using Android 1.5_r3.
I'm not really feeling the love for the quality of the images the Desire produces, mainly due to blue cast each image seems to have. If i want to keep an image i find I have to colour correct it with Photoshop which i hope you can appreciate is kind of annoying! Also, and this doesn't happen all the time but the screen sometimes splits in two/three when taking a photo which again is bloody annoying. Is this a known issue is there a software fix or do i have a duff unit and need to speak to HTC to repair under warranty.

View 2 Replies View RelatedToday whilst surfing the net via wireless (only for a few mins) my Desire shutdown out of the blue and now constantly reboots - all it shows is the O2 Welcome screen before rebooting. Tried stopping this booting by holding down the power key and now it's stuck on the welcome screen! Any idea of what I can do? I've already removed the battery, sim and mini sd card and tried starting again but I still can't get past the o2 screen!

I know flashes on camera phones aren't all that great, but they do help in many situations. I read in a couple places that this phone has a night mode negating the need for the flash. So far I have not been able to find any sample photos taken in low light conditions, say a portrait of friends in a dark restaurant, or at a party. Can those of you who have the phone post some sample shots in these conditions?

I've seen from other posts here that it only comes on in sleep mode in 2.1, but mine doesn't even come on then. I downloaded LED Tester from the market and those aren't coming up either which has me worried. If this means a VZW swap, backup recommendations?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am able to pull up my list of contacts, but when I click on a contact I get the message "Unfortunately, contacts have stopped working" and it send me to the home screen. I have a Samsung Galaxy Light running Jelly Bean 4.2.2. The phone worked fine for awhile, then started giving me the error messages. If I do a factory reset, the problem is fixed for a few days, but then the contacts problem persists again. I have tried all of the following:
1. Clearing the contacts cache
2. Enabling contacts storage - it already was running and there is no place to "Disable" or "enable" that I can see.
3. Factory reset - works for a few days and then the problem reoccurs
4. Change Date settings to a different format
5. Change time settings to a 24 hr format
Nothing has worked so far.
Really need this to be working in Orange 2.2, whenever we get it.
