I need to do a factory reset on my Desire and I want to backup all of my bookmarks stored in the stock browser but I cannot remember how to do so, or if indeed I have done before!

My phone was working great, had the stock internet browser loaded up with all my bookmarks. They were showing in the bookmarks widget as well.Now when I try to open "bookmarks" in "menu", the browser crashes and forces me to close it. The bookmarks widget shows no bookmarks either.I do not want to do a hard reset if I don't have to.
Anyone know how to rearrange bookmarks in the stock browser?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the "large" bookmark widget on one of my screens. Everytime i go to the websites from this link it comes up with a version of the site that is maybe a day or 2 old. For instance i just went to phandroid.com and at the top of the page it shows the latest article as "Android 2.2 allows Auto Updates" when in fact if i go on it on my laptop there are 13 new articles..... even when i refresh the page (on my phone) it does the same thing...
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I first got my Desire I used the stock internet browser. I added a bookmark for netcarshow.com. After a while I started using Dolphin HD which I found to be far better, and started adding several bookmarks to Dolphin. Fast forward a month or so and I'm still using Dolphin HD and have been using LauncherPro for the past couple of weeks.
The problem is when I add the LauncherPro Bookmarks widget to a homescreen. It only shows the bookmark for netcarshow.com; my saved bookmarks in Dolphin are nowhere to be seen. They all show when using the browser, but not in the LauncherPro widget. I've looked through every setting for Android, Dolphin and LauncherPro but can't find a way to import/export the bookmarks. Also used Astro to look for bookmarks folders (to copy/paste) and viewed the SD card using USB on my PC, but unable to find any stored bookmark data. The LauncherPro widget is excellent but I can't figure out how to get it to display the Dolphin bookmarks, any ideas?
My browser is Dolphin HD and I need a bookmark widget. I have a full page (4x4) to fill, and would like something that shows either a scrolling list or a collection of thumbnails of the sites. The stock Android widget only shows 6 thumbnails (non scrolling) and the HTC Bookmarks widget will only show 6 bookmarks, 5 of which are links to Orange webpages that STILL show after I deleted them! I have a fairly short list of about 10 bookmarks, stored by Dolphin, and I want quick access to them from my homescreen without placing individual icons.

1) Where can you edit the Bookmarks? I cant seem to find any setting, just want to delete some thats all!
2) I use Handcent, trouble is when I recieve a text I get 2 notifications from the stock program and Handcent, how do I "turn off" the stock program anyone know? this is actually quite annoying!
I'm using the stock browser on my Desire, and I'm starting to notice that not all inches are appearing. Mostly this is when browsing forums and the smilies just appear as blue diamonds with question marks inside. Does anyone know why this might be?

On the bookmarks swipe gesture, which brings up your bookmarks, how do I make my Dolphin HD bookmarks show, instead of the generic browsers??? I have factory reset, uninstalled everything, still the same. If I clear the cookies, cache, etc, and remove my homepage of google.co.uk, it seems fine. The T-Mobile default homepage works fine if I type a capital A. If I set Google.co.uk, and type a capital A, it force closes.
Hmm....and after a bit of digging....it only seems to do it on Google Mobile sites. Classic Google.com and .co.uk are fine. Google force loses, as does .com/m.
Anyone have the same issue, or know whats causing this?
I want to restore my old SMS. However, I don't know what app should I serach and restore.
If I'll know the exact app, I could restore "Data only".
Does anyone know how to backup the bookmarks?

Although I have DolphinHD and Skyfire browsers loaded on my DInc, I generally use the default browser. Yesterday, for no apparent reason, the bookmarks would not load...instead I get a Force Close option:

I tried loading the HTC Bookmarks widget to see if I could grab my bookmarks that way. It claims I have no bookmarks.
So, I go to the market and add the app "Bookmarks to SD". I use it to transfer those supposedly non-existant bookmarks to the SD and then I sync them to the DolphinHD browser. Voila...the bookmarks are fine and working in DolphinHD.
So, the default browser is pretty useless now since it won't let me retrieve bookmarks and I'll just use Dolphin from now on.
Is there an app which will allow you to import your bookmarks from your pc browser?

I've been using the chrome browser for it's download functions, but I can't seem to figure out the program in depth. There's some buttons that will flip between pages that are open, but I can't seem to figure out how to save bookmarks with it. Is there a text file or instructions on how to use this program?

View 5 Replies View RelatedUsing the default browser and click 'Menu --> Bookmarks' Then 'Menu --> Sort By' Then I select 'Mostly used' and hit OK.
It now sorts by 'Mostly used', but when I go back to my bookmarks, it often reverts to sorting by 'Newest'. It's usually fine when I immediately look at the bookmarks again, but when browsing later in the day it reverts back. I prefer to have my most used bookmarks listed first and having to reset as often as I do is annoying.
Not sure if this is the right forum to discuss platform related changes. Seemed this closest. If I need to customize the default bookmarks/homepage in the browser, what the best approach?

I already have the root explorer application installed on my viewsonic gtablet, I know there must be a way to go in and edit that information, I just don't know how to do it. I know you delete ALL of the saved information, but I really don't want to do that.
