I'm using the stock browser on my Desire, and I'm starting to notice that not all inches are appearing. Mostly this is when browsing forums and the smilies just appear as blue diamonds with question marks inside. Does anyone know why this might be?

I have a Galaxy 10.1 Note. how to download some images. I was then printing them via the epson print app. Some of them automatically appeared in gallery in the download folder. This however was random and in some cases they didn, t appear.

I have factory reset, uninstalled everything, still the same. If I clear the cookies, cache, etc, and remove my homepage of google.co.uk, it seems fine. The T-Mobile default homepage works fine if I type a capital A. If I set Google.co.uk, and type a capital A, it force closes.
Hmm....and after a bit of digging....it only seems to do it on Google Mobile sites. Classic Google.com and .co.uk are fine. Google force loses, as does .com/m.
Anyone have the same issue, or know whats causing this?
I just recently setup my email on my HTC Evo using the stock email client. I use Google Apps for my email and setup the email using IMAP. Everything appears to be working correctly.
However, tonight I noticed that the email client continues to create multiple 100+ folders called "inbox". When I click one of those folders there is nothing in the folder but it begins to download all the email that is on the server.
It looks like each time I open the email client another inbox is automatically being created. I deleted the account and started over and the same thing happens multiple inboxes are starting to be created again.
I decided I would delete the account in my stock mail client and recreated the account.
When I did this I opened the mail client and there were two inboxes from the start. Then the next time I opened there were3, then 4 and so on...It appears that every time the client opens it generates a new inbox.
Granted there is nothing in the inbox until I actually click and open the inbox when I do that the emails start downloading.
Again, using the stock email client. Setting up IMAP, using Google Apps with my own business domain for the email service.
How do I stop visited web addresses appearing when I start typing an address into the browser?

View 3 Replies View Relatedi have noticed that when i finish a call or when i unlock the phone sometimes the timer circle appears in the middle of the screen and i can see the home screen appearing in the background, i have a task killer installed but its not set to stop any of the android phone services, just wondered if anyone else gets this , its a pain as you have to wait for stuff to load before you can use the phone

Since I travel and change my SIM quite often, the nos. of my contacts have been saved with the country codes so that I dont have to keep adding digits when I have to make calls. So because of this when I receive Local Calls ie calls without country codes it says unknown contact even though this contact is saved in the phone.
Example: 00974 123456 is saved in my fone....00974 is the country code and phone no. is 123456. When i receive a local call from this no. it shows 123456, and hence the Desire is not recognizing the contact.
All contacts are saved in phone memory.
I am loading my web pages into the default browser in the Android Emulator using Xampp and localhost (as 10.0.2.2). The pages load okay but no images are displayed.
In browser settings, under bandwidth management, "Load Images is ticked". Google displays images if I do an image search.
Turning off anti virus and firewall makes no difference.
I have a rooted samsung galaxy ace plus with speedmod 4.4.2 (kitkat).
Whenever I take pictures using the stock camera,the focus is fine but when i see the picture it always comes blurry.
I'm designing an HTML page for display in Android browsers. Consider this simple example page:

It looks just fine on the standard HVGA phones (320x480), but on HDPI WVGA sizes (480x800 or 480x854) the built-in browser automatically scales the image up; it looks ugly.
I've read that I should be able to use this tag to force the browser to stop scaling my page:
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width; initial-scale=1.0; maximum-scale=1.0; minimum-scale=1.0; user-scalable=0;" />
... but all that does is disable user scaling (the zoom buttons disappear); it doesn't actually prevent the browser from scaling my image. Adjusting the scale factors (setting them all to 2.0 or 0.5) has no effect at all.
How can I force the WVGA browser to stop scaling my images?
And how do I get rid of it? When I want to send a message, I get a mountain of address book options because my email addresses from my Gmail account appear to have automatically imported themselves in to my contact list (I don't recall authorizing this). Anyway, I want to get rid of them so I just see my phone contacts (phone numbers only).

I enter my username and password, hit log in, and nothing. is this a common problem with the stock browser? View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using Dolphin HD for a long time but lately it's been really slow. I switched to the stock browser and it seems like it's twice as fast as Dolphin. Although I like the bells and whistles on Dolphin, I'll choose a fast browser over that any day.
My question is... what is the correct way to exit the stock browser? I don't want it running in the background. I don't want to get a task killer cause I've heard horror stories about them. I don't want to go into the browser settings each time and erase the cache and whatever every time I want to exit the browser.
Is there an easy way to exit the browser and make sure it's actually closed?
I was just browsing the internet on my browser when it just closed out unexpeted. What,caused this? No, I don't run task killer.
