Nov 11, 2010I want to restore my old SMS. However, I don't know what app should I serach and restore.
If I'll know the exact app, I could restore "Data only".

When i click on batch, then run to backup my apps it jumps back to the Backup/Restore screen with all the apps, nothing gets backed up. I have backed up before with Titanium and it worked. I reinstalled Busybox, didn't help. If i uninstall and reinstall will i lose all the things i did like freeze apps etc ? When i try to update through the marketplace it says installation error, package file was not signed correctly.

I'd like to know if there's a way to use Titanium Backup to preform a backup and then transfer those backups to my computer ?
I know this may sound simple but am under the impression that when you make a backup of your ROM and other files on your device, it has to stay on the device.
When making a NANDROID backup, is it safer and more useful if one can store those backups on one's computer ?
Am sure there's a way to do this but am not sure if there's already an app for it.
with the latest versions of Titanium Backup, I can't seem to figure out how to do batch backup and restore of apps and data anymore.

I think it's useless backup apk files, I can download them from Google play store.
I'm currently using Nikez Lente's ICS rom 1.0.1a9 and what is the system app name for the phone's homescreen where all my apps, widgets are currently stored. I'm a bit of a flash freak so every now and then I drag my at least 40-50 apps one by one.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have the root app Titanium Backup. When I root my friends' phones, I like giving them all my root apps with a quick transfer of my SD card app backups from AppControl.
BUT, I have never been able to find the backup file for Titanium Backup. I realize they can just download it from the Market, but where I work I get no service so I can't download it for hours for them.
Does AppControl or even Titanium Backup itself actually back up Titanium Backup? It seems almost like they skip over the APK because I can never find any backed up APK files that have the words "Titanium" or "Backup" in it. I've never been able to find the file!
Rooted DInc then removed some apps like city id. I had purchased some apps before I rooted and I was curious as to first, how and where do I backup using titanium backup? Second, say if I factory reset my phone then put the paid apps back on would it still recognize that I already paid and still give new updates? Also side question, if I remove friendstream will facebook still sync with the facebook app and sync photos my phone book?

I copied the SD card information that I had backed up on my computer to the new card but Titanium backup will not recognize the titanium backup directory with my apps on it. It says the backup directory is not available. Is there a way I can point it to the backup directory to restore my apps and data?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI currently use Titanium Backup, but it is growing tiring to have to sit there and man the phone while I am restoring apps, so now I am looking for another app that will restore apps and data without having to choose each app individually. I know most people will say "Just buy the donate version". Unfortunately that is not an option for me. Why not? Because the dev doesn't offer the donate version in Market, nor does he offer a donate through google checkout. His donation is paypal only, and due to some recent VERY bad experiences with paypal, I have closed out my account and I refuse to ever use paypal again. what options am I left with? I've been poking around market for a while now, but it seems like every other backup I can find is for personal data only.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to figure this out. I bought Titanium Backup today just because one of the features it offered was syncing with Dropbox. It says it's an experimental feature which I take to mean buggy as hell, but I'm willing to try it out. I can't figure out how to set it up though. I've dug through all the settings and it's possible I'm missing something completely, but I don't know where. Can anyone walk me through how to do this? Being able to sync my backups to the cloud is a huge thing for me.

I was looking for an application that would allow me to:
1)Migrate to another phone easily.
2)Backup my applications (with ease)
3)Backup my DATA (with ease)
After some playing around with the market of available applications to backup applications/data, I found some very interesting applications which allowed scheduled backups (which I believe is a must have..) well thats my opinion anyway but out of all the applications I tried, titanium was the only application which after restoring the applications, also restored the links into the marketplace under downloads which allowed me to then receive further updates in the future..! Most backup applications will restore the application, no problem, but what about future updates? You WONT get them.!
Just recently, the developer of Titanium released the market doctor feature (only for donate users) which will attempt to fix any applications that dont show up in the marketplace after a restore (before this feature you had to restore, sometimes twice before it would show up) GREAT WORK !
I am abit (personally) disappointed with the GUI of titanium I believe that it should have an option (wizard) when you first startup the application which asks you, are you an advanced user or beginner, and if youre a beginner it shouldnt show you all the advanced information (that half the people wont understand anyway)
What Id like to see added?
1)beginner / advanced view of home page
2)shortcut options (or widget to run defined backup)
3)Scheduled backups
4)Backup of (SMS, call logs, bookmarks, system settings?)
5)Option to move most recent backup to remote location (i.e. network share over wifi, ftp over data etc)

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was just wondering why the app size in android (Settings > Applications > Manage applications) is different to the size in Titanium backup (Overview of app storage use) and which one is the correct size?
eg. According to titanium backup, the total size of Jelly defense is 51.6MB whereas android says that it's 112KB
Angry Birds size is 18.5MB according to titanium but only 1.30MB in android.
Skype is 16.7MB according to titanium but only 2.11MB in android.
Couple questions: I have rooted but not loaded a custom ROM as of yet. I have Titanium Backup, but am unsure really how to use it. When I get ready to load a ROM, do I need to back everything up to a computer or will Titanium Backup save everything on my SD card? Next one, what is the ROM that uses ADW Launcher right off the bat? I've looked around on XDA, but couldn't figure it out.

View 4 Replies View RelatedHi. My Android market does the following strange thing. One application (Titanium backup) has appearantly failed an update, because when I open market, this application is always on top under downloads saying "Installing". I've powered down the phone, but to no avail, no matter what, this application is "locked" in a state of Installing - which means I can't uninstall and re-install, and I can't update, because Market will not let me do anything else with this application than displaying "Installing" and nothing else happens.
Can I get out this application lock on Market, or do I have to wait for the next firmware update? I Use SE X10.
If you use this program to back up, then I swap ROMs, will Titanium Restore EVERYTHING back to how it was before I flashed with a new ROM? All texts/emails/apps etc?
