Apr 15, 2010If anyone is CURRENTLY with Sprint for their cell service in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area of Arizona, could you please tell me how your cell service is?I'm looking at moving to the HTC EVO in June when my contract is up with Verizon, but I'm pretty worried about the quality of Sprint's service. Most comments I have heard about Sprint have been either average or negative.On the contrary, my time with Verizon has really been stellar, few if any dropped calls, coverage EVERYWHERE it seems, and pretty decent customer service.Even though Sprints plans are $30 to $40 cheaper than Verizon, it won't matter if the service stinks and I can't make/receive calls or get on broadband.Just trying to weigh my options as the Incredible will be out as well, and may have to go with that one instead.

Apr 18, 2010I noticed today that when I went to the YouTube website in the browser that when I try to play a video is says "Old Flash, Go Upgrade", clicking the link takes me to the Adobe website but it won't let me install the latest Flash. I can still play videos on other websites and also on the YouTube application but just not from the website. Is there a way to upgrade the Flash?

Aug 24, 2010Been trying and trying to get custom rom but always stuck at reboot after the usual 'pink arrow-circle' with vibrate. tried wiping options and installing the radios for the roms... story so far....
-started on t-mob desire
-used Lekky's droid den hboot0.8 guide and rooted without goldcard
-confirmed rooted by installing shootme and autokiller apps which shows on superuser permissions.
-went for the defost 3.0b rom and suggested radio and followed Lekky's install custom rom guide.
-used rom manager and flashed
-reboot... got the usual 'pink arrow-circle' with vibrate and then the four colour turning into 'X' animation that never stopped
-after doing some googling... pulled battery and nanroid restored back
-made a new 1gb goldcard using the goldcard tool on this forum, checked all directories are present before trying again
-tried flashing using the recovery menu + wipes
-tried flashing r8 modaco instead but again stuck after the splash screen
HTC Incredible :: Way To Install USB Driver / ADB Driver?
May 27, 2010In case anyone else is having problems getting their Incredible to connect, the easiest way I found to install the USB drivers are with the HTC sync program here:

The google SDK driver doesn't yet work with the Incredible, and though it can be hacked - this download might be easier for some.

But I do not know where this factory driver is located. How removed from Nandroid backup and put in a cell phone.

May 14, 2012I am porting the Sony Tablet S ROM (Honeycomb) to my Toshiba Thrive. I got most things working but I cannot get the damn wifi working. Logcat says "Unable to load wifi driver". Kernel is 2.6.36.3.
Typically this is a kernel / wifi module issue but I am using the same kernel/module that I use with all other ROMs I make and it works fine. I've copied over all wifi libs, wpa configs, etc but I'm at a loss. This is the biggy that is keeping me from releasing this ROM.

I would like to add a usb gps driver to it. Now from what I understand I need a few things.
1. USB Host
2. USB Linux Drivers
3. Root
I have all three and the driver is a PL-2303 USB to Serial Driver. From what I can gather I need to put these c.
files into a specific folder on my tablet and then edit a couple of files to load these drivers on startup ?
Am I going down the right root ? or completely off the mark ?
I've tried to do alot of reading but not getting far really because most tablets either have built in gps or they dont normally have a host usb port.
Linux Kernel 2.4.31 and above already includes built-in drivers for PL-2303H, PL-2303XA/HXA and PL-2303HXD.
NOTE: Google Android OS is also based on Linux kernel so it also supports PL2303.
does that mean it already has a driver installed and I'm just missing something ? How would I check ?

Apr 18, 2014I have the following problem with an android tablet (ainol captain).For the moment I am using a stock firmware (fw A) where almost everything works good except for the battery.On another newer stock firmware (fw B) almost everything works good except for the sound when the headset is plugged in.
I tried installing Pimpmyrom in which you can install an 'enchancing' sound driver but it didnt work. The sound did get a bit better. I also tried viper4androidFX with the same 'a bit better' result. I dont think this is a hardware problem since sound works fine one fw A.Is it possible to backup the sound driver and/or settings from fw A and install these on fw B?

General :: BLU Quattro 4.5 - Cannot Find USB Driver
Mar 25, 2013I have a BLU Quattro 4.5 android device and when I try to connect via USB Debug mode and run ADB Device it will not find my phone. I have searched high and low in order to locate the driver with no luck. The generic USB driver from google won't even work. I have even run emulator from the phone and when I type: pm set-install-location 2, it comes back with Killed and then back to command prompt. When I type: pm get-install-location it comes back as 0[auto]. My phones main memory is 1 gb and 1.5 internal usb memory. With all of the main system apps updated on the main drive, the phone cannot handle ANY other apps, even when I put apps on the usb memory it is very sluggish. I am trying to install and run all of the apps from the external sd card and just have the system apps running on the main disk. I would also like finding the driver needed to access the phone in ADB.

May 16, 2014Somehow I managed to get my PC to only recognize ROMaster ADB drivers only; but it doesn't work properly with ADB commands on my computer. I would like to revert it back to only detecting "normal" adb devices.
I believe I had install ROMaster Setup previously for data recovery purposes but have it uninstalled since.
I have tried to reinstall ROMaster Setup and uninstall it. Run Ccleaner and clean up the registry, uninstall and reinstall Google SDK (USB Drivers).
I have tried to manually select driver to install but only two ROMaster selection appears.
Using Windows XP.

Apr 6, 2014I Have a Nexus 7 and recently I found that I needed to use ADB for something and I had used my Nexus 7 with ADB on this computer before (thats how I installed KitKat) but whenever I connect my Nexus now it says that is not configured correctly and when I attempted to install the ADB driver it said windows encountered an error. I am currently running windows with Driver verification disabled and on test mode. I am also running windows in test mode so that it wouldn't block the driver. I have tried every driver possible from the one in the SDK to the intel android adb driver and even PDAnet. I have checked inside the driver file that it is properly registered for my nexus 7. I am running Windows 8.1 on my computer and android 4.4.2 kitkat on my Nexus 7.
