There is 3G into Android tablet.If device (Android tablet) looses network connection, it's just impossible to connect network until resetting of the device (Android tablet). What can be changed or adjusted in /system to fix it?

My N1 will not reconnect to a mobile network if it has been sitting for a few hours in a no-coverage area, such as a building. I cannot get it to reconnect, even after refreshing the network search in settings>wireless and networks>mobile networks. This action only leaves me with no result or a message saying that there was an error in searching or connecting to mobile networks. The only solution is to restart the phone. Every time I try to turn the phone off after this error has occurred, the shutdown sequence hangs until either I become frustrated and do a battery pull, or it automatically restarts itself.
Furthermore, the phone used to give me an error notification saying that the phone does not have carrier service. Now, it does not. I tried uninstalling all my programs and nothing has worked for me. I'm considering putting on the cyanogen ROM to see if it would fix this error, but I am hesitant to void my warranty. It's a pretty serious problem as I'm very frequently in a building where I don't get service. It's quite frustrating to have to wait to reconnect to a mobile network once I leave the building and hope that the error didn't occur or have to do a battery pull every time I realize that the phone simply won't reconnect.
I just got the HTC magic last week and have been trying to fix it with tmobile help but they haven't helped. I go then unlocked version of the HTC magic on amazon. Everything on the phone works and I can call and text no problem but I cant get Data. I have the data plan for the phone but I cant get it to work.

When I click on that, I get a Window's error message: "Windows is unable to connect to the selected network. The network may no longer be in range. Please refers the list of available networks and try to connect again." The SPH-D70002E (Epic) is full bars strength.

Make sure the radio is on or if it is on, move into better coverage area and try again

View 3 Replies View RelatedEver since flashing the 2.1 leaks (V1 and then V2), I have not been able to connect to my university's WPA2-enterprise wireless network. After I enter my login info (the network uses PEAP with MSCHAPv2, so it doesn't need any certificates), the phone connects as expected and gets a valid IP address, verifiable with netcfg. Before any traffic is allowed to pass to the outside world, however, the device connecting has to go to an authentication page in a browser. When I attempt to go to that page, I get an error titled "Data Connectivity Problem" that states "A secure connection could not be established" which only presents an option to acknowledge the error.
Since I can't load that authentication page, the network is entirely unusable. I did not encounter this problem with 1.5, but since I'm running the V2 leak, reverting is not an option.Has anyone else seen this type of behavior? I can't identify if the problem is in the actual link not being established properly (seems unlikely, as the phone is given an IP address, but perhaps the PEAP layer is having some sort of issue?) or if it has to do with the SSL certificates used for the network authentication page (they're signed, but I'm fairly certain that the name if the site they're signed for is not the name that they've given the new auth server).
I recently bought a generic media streamer from DX.com (SKU 112201).It's compact, light and runs Android 2.2 on a 1GHz CPU, 256MB RAM and 2GB flash memory (though if I looked in the right place there are only about 200MB of storage space).
The little box is not only full of magic but also many chinese apps (some of which open up the same interface) that I have no use for, not to mention the whole OS is chinese/engrish with errors popping up every minute.
The streamer runs slow and often hangs and I can't for some reason find certain apps in the Play Store when they're on the top of the list on other devices (probably chinese censorship or something).
I can easily find a guide to reinstalling firmware on my htc sensation xe, but I got nothing on this device.My question to you is: how to install a clean-no-third-party-apps Android 2.2 on a streamer or knows where I can get the guide?Also, do you think I should even bother getting this thing working at its optimal capacity given its specs?
I'm having a problem with my internet connection on my SGS. It used to lock to T-m*bile, I unlocked it lastweek then use L*bara instead cause got free internet service hehe. somehow, everytime i try to use internet service it says unable to connect to internet/ network unavailable. but I tried the simcard with another phone and it was working. some friends suggest me to re-unlock it. but i donno how to re-unlock it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI got a chinese X12 dual sim phone because i really needed only 1 phone (had to carry around 2 of them).Phone works great, only problem is with the mobile networks. It can connect to GSM networks but it won't connect to a 3G network. The phone has 3G capabilities, 3G is enabled for the required sim, it finds the 3G network but it will not connect to it.
Sim works fine, had it in a Samsung i900 on 3G (WCDMA) The thing that surprises me most is that the phone came with android 4.0 instead of the 2.3.6 it was advertised, could this be the problem?

View 8 Replies View Related'm having a problem with my Verizon G2. I had the Xposed framework installed, and I installed an app called Xorware, which is a toggle for 2G/3G/4G. I messed around with the settings in the app a little bit, and left it alone. A bit later, the phone stopped connecting to the mobile data network. I tried uninstalling the Xorware apps, wiping the cache on my phone, and even restoring to a backup where I don't have Xposed installed, and I'm still getting the same issue. Wifi still works, but every couple of minutes it disconnects randomly and then connects again. I also tried removing the SIM card for a few minutes after turning off the phone, and still, no luck.

I've experienced quite a lot of problems with the WiFi after updating the Andriod. Everytime I try to connect to my home-network i get that it failed to connect.
The phone didn't have any problems with this before the update.

I love my aria, i got it 9/29/10, for free from best buy because my contract expired... but ive already used 20MB and i only bought a 200MB plan... i might go to 2 gigs, but for an alternate, since my billing cycle ends the 28th of every month... if i disable application syncing, and mobile network from the hold menu... can i connect to my home wifi network, and go on the internet from there without that using any of my data plan?

View 8 Replies View RelatedA Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is connect to a shared network drive located on the network it's connected to (eg \sharefoldersharesofficeshares) I open a file from the shared folder, like a word or excel document, and make some changes. Here comes the challenge: When I save the file, it does not save back to the shared folder but only locally on the tablet. That means that if I go to a computer on the same network, connected to the folder and open the file I just edited on the tablet; No changes has been made
The problem is that I have yet to find a android word/excel processor that has the option to save on a network drive.
The only solution without an app with the option stated above is to somehow syncronize the android folder where the edited file is saved. Unfortunately that requires some actions that I would not like to teach the non-IT personal who uses the tablet.
I've got a Samsung Stratosphere (I know booo) My phone rebooted and now it has the hardware info on the left hand side of the screen. I've posted a picture. It wont go on the mobile network at call (cant make calls).
I did a factory restore, unrooted and put the stock rom on, nothing works.

As you can see, it is also seeing an PendingIntent for the onClickListener of the image. I don't think that is relevant here. Anyway, this work great. The widget does exactly what I want it to. Until I restart the device. When I restart the widget loads with the default view from the xml in the apk. It does not keep the image update from the initial configuration. My questions is how do I get the widget to load back up after a restart with the updated view set during the configuration activity? I will also need to reset the onClick Pendingintent, but I will save that for later.
Recovery error message pops up form bit locker. Is it possible to still view my files? as I do not have the recovery key.

Kies shows the dialog box "reconnect the phone in samsung kies (pc studio) mode. Current connection mode not supported by kies" Usb debugging is disabled. I tried rebooting my phone. I also tried rebooting my pc. I tried reinstalling kies, but nothing worked. I have never been able to connect it with kies.

I am looking for an app/widget to add a tiny bit of convenience to my life. I want the ability to tap on an icon on my homescreen that will trigger a (Bluetooth) connect to a device that I have paired with in the past. A one-tap-and-you're-done widget would be perfect. I have a Bluetooth dongle in my car that I connect to quite often that plays music over a stereo system (HTC Stereoclip A100). At work, we are networked together (not wireless), anyone can type, for example \cpu1253c$ and you are now mapped to that person's computer, you can view anything on there and they don't even know you are in their computer. All was working fine last year and had installed all my apps etc but recently tried to connect to the Market/Play Store to install other apps and it hung for a while then gave me the error:

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an android device: it's a stick connected to my TV, running android 4.1 rooted. The stick is an MK808B. The stick is connected to my TV's USB so that when I turn the TV on, the stick boots and when I turn the TV off, it shuts down completely.
I am looking for something that automatically connect the stick to VPN when I boot it. I would preferably use VPN over L2DP, although I'll take PPTP if there's no other option. I can't use openVPN because my ROM's kernel doesn't have TUN. There are two ways to approach this: one way is to connect it on boot, another way is to connect to VPN when the stick connects to a wireless network because my stick is stationary and always connects to the same wi-fi network.
