View 2 Replies View RelatedI've just gotten a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 to go with my S3 and now that I have more than one device floating around my house, I'm wondering if there is a better way to share files and data among them than to hook each to my computer separately and then transferring stuff around by USB. I'm looking into Kies, but in the past, I've never been able to get it to work correctly, so I'm not sure if this will work any better on this attempt. Am I on the right path, or is there something different / better than Kies that I could use to have all three devices available on the network for sharing?
I guess I should probably ask if what I want is even possible... I'd really like an always on type of networking where as long as the device is online, I can push data back and forth (ie if my tablet is at home sleeping, and there is a file I want to get from it, I can access it from my phone and vis versa). In addition to that, I'd like a similar connection to exist between my two mobile devices and my computer so I can transfer files back and forth with the computer without having to take up desk space by connecting the device with USB.
I got a chinese X12 dual sim phone because i really needed only 1 phone (had to carry around 2 of them).Phone works great, only problem is with the mobile networks. It can connect to GSM networks but it won't connect to a 3G network. The phone has 3G capabilities, 3G is enabled for the required sim, it finds the 3G network but it will not connect to it.
Sim works fine, had it in a Samsung i900 on 3G (WCDMA) The thing that surprises me most is that the phone came with android 4.0 instead of the 2.3.6 it was advertised, could this be the problem?
Today I installed a custom rom for my chinese phone Mlais mx65 everything works fine but, I can't connect to my network with my sim card, and it's weird i tried installing stock rom and other roms
View 8 Replies View Related'm having a problem with my Verizon G2. I had the Xposed framework installed, and I installed an app called Xorware, which is a toggle for 2G/3G/4G. I messed around with the settings in the app a little bit, and left it alone. A bit later, the phone stopped connecting to the mobile data network. I tried uninstalling the Xorware apps, wiping the cache on my phone, and even restoring to a backup where I don't have Xposed installed, and I'm still getting the same issue. Wifi still works, but every couple of minutes it disconnects randomly and then connects again. I also tried removing the SIM card for a few minutes after turning off the phone, and still, no luck.

In this rom i am not able to connect to 3G network. How to select the 3G network.
That's basically the problem. My Visual Land Prestige 10 Android 4.0 10" Tablet i got from WalMart readily connects to all kinds of public wi-fi networks with no problems. BUT it will not connect to my home wi-fi network, which is from Cox Cable via a Linksys router.
I have several other devices, including a Palm Tablet, a Galaxy S3, and an Asus laptop, and all of these connect to my home wi-fi with no problem.
So why does my tablet not do so? It recognizes the existence of the wi-fi network, but never connects. It just says "saved", and that's it.
I've experienced quite a lot of problems with the WiFi after updating the Andriod. Everytime I try to connect to my home-network i get that it failed to connect.
The phone didn't have any problems with this before the update.
Anyone had the same kind of problem, or anyone that has a smart fix for it?
I love my aria, i got it 9/29/10, for free from best buy because my contract expired... but ive already used 20MB and i only bought a 200MB plan... i might go to 2 gigs, but for an alternate, since my billing cycle ends the 28th of every month... if i disable application syncing, and mobile network from the hold menu... can i connect to my home wifi network, and go on the internet from there without that using any of my data plan?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI rooted my Samsung Conquer 4g on the Sprint network. I downloaded Wifi tether App (had to go to a website on my computer, then use the QR scanner app on my phone to download the app since Sprint won't allow it on the Android market place.) So my problem is now that my laptop and Ipod touch can see the wifi hot spot and connect to it just fine BUT my Honeycomb Acer Iconia Tablet A100 can't find the SSID wifi connection. It shows all other connections except for my wifi hotspot. why it won't show up on my tablet?

I hoped the dev phone successfully connect to the AP, and assign own auto-ip by itself(169.254.xx.xx). But It didn't happened. I think it must be abnormal case. Is there any special way to get an Auto IP address?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'd like to figure out how to connect my Yamaha MIDI keyboard to my Asus tf101 tablet for recording via hardwired USB.
I've scoured the web looking for an app or solution to this and have come up generally blank, I've tried all the free midi controller apps, but they only seem to support Wifi or Bluetooth, which my keyboard is unable to do.
I'd like to eliminate my computer as a middleman (If I'm at my computer I'd just use that) and be able to use my tablet to record on the go!
Device Info:
ASUS Transformer tf101 running

Works fine on computer and no issues so far via usb.
A Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is connect to a shared network drive located on the network it's connected to (eg \sharefoldersharesofficeshares) I open a file from the shared folder, like a word or excel document, and make some changes. Here comes the challenge: When I save the file, it does not save back to the shared folder but only locally on the tablet. That means that if I go to a computer on the same network, connected to the folder and open the file I just edited on the tablet; No changes has been made
The problem is that I have yet to find a android word/excel processor that has the option to save on a network drive.
The only solution without an app with the option stated above is to somehow syncronize the android folder where the edited file is saved. Unfortunately that requires some actions that I would not like to teach the non-IT personal who uses the tablet.
There is 3G into Android tablet. If device (Android tablet) looses network connection, it's just impossible to connect network until resetting of the device (Android tablet). What can be changed or adjusted in /system to fix it?

I've got a Samsung Stratosphere (I know booo) My phone rebooted and now it has the hardware info on the left hand side of the screen. I've posted a picture. It wont go on the mobile network at call (cant make calls).
I did a factory restore, unrooted and put the stock rom on, nothing works.
In theory there will come a day when Froyo or the GPS fix will be available from AT&T...
So every so often I go into Settings and then go to Software Update, click "Check for Update", click OK and for the past couple weeks it has ALWAYS told me that it failed to connect to AT&T's servers. If I try and check again it tells me that 24 hours has not elapsed since I made my last request. (Even though that request failed).
I've tried it in Airplane mode with Wi-Fi enabled and I've tried it in normal mode but using Wi-Fi and in 3G mode (not connected to any Wi-Fi network).
The day I got my phone I was able to retrieve an update (so it used to work) and I have not rooted my phone or "mucked with it" in any fashion.
I have a problem with my Wi-Fi connection. I turn on Wi-Fi, go to Wi-Fi settings and under the list of found networks is my home wireless. When I try to connect to it, it goes as far as "Obtaining IP adress" and after that it fails. I thought this was because I was using GalaxHero, but now I went to using Mustymod's 2.0 and the problem is still there.
View 23 Replies View RelatedSo it's been almost 2 weeks now and I still cannot connect to the 4G Network. The phone finds the 4G network, but cannot "obtain an IP address from Sprint".Sprint has been working on the problem, I get atleast 2 phone calls/emails from them daily, to try new things. But at this point, they have not been able to figure it out.At this point, I have to believe it is just a bad phone, but they said they cannot replace it until Friday, which thankfully is almost here.Hopefully no one else will see this problem. But if you have/do and figure out how to fix it, please let me know.

I went out of town for the weekend and ever since I have returned my phone will not connect to my router.I have "forgotten" the network and re-entered the password but that didn't fix the problem either. It just says "obtaining IP address".

View 14 Replies View RelatedI am using a Nexus One with 2.1 SDK. I am having problems with a module in my application connecting programmatically to a network/AP.Monitoring the network,I see probe requests transmitting from the device, but I do not see an Authentication/Association request to the access point that I specify in the BSSID. Ultimately, I will perform a scan to determine valid AP BSSIDs, but for testing, I simply want to connect to a test AP which is in close proximity to my Nexus One.I have set the appropriate permissions in my manifest xml and am not seeing any negative log statements from adb.Any pointers or suggestions with using WifiManager to perform this action.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am wondering if there is an app or a possible future one, that can connect to a school's network. Why it is more complicated (if you don't know), is that you have to connect to the wifi, then enter your student ID and password into the browser, then you can access the internet. (similar to some airports)I am able to connect with the browser, but apps that require internet won't work. Is there anyway to make an app that will keep you authenticated so that apps can use the wifi?
