Android :: Input Method Editor (IME) In Full Screen
Mar 29, 2010In landscape mode, the soft keyboard(IME-input method editor) is showing full screen and displaying the plain text. But my editText is a password field. So how can I show dots instead of the actual characters when the IME is in full screen. This happens in landscape mode, in portrait, its working fine.

Aug 26, 2010I am going to be getting my Evo soon and it will most likely come with 2.2 Froyo. Now I am going to root my phone right away and want to use a custom kernel. Cyanogen-6, but some people are having trouble flashing it. Will this be a problem, I have root experience with the Hero and custom ROM's but I never heard anything about NAND unlock on the hero.

1-Full-screen mode: A mode the fills the whole screen. I mean no menu, no toolbar, no nothing! What I need for the app is to fill the whole screen when I put the phone in horizontal position. I don't need to see a menu bar on battery percentage when I'm reading a book.
2-Last Position: Remembers the place of your last visit. For instance, if I open a text file and read till page 6, the next time I open the app it starts from page 6 and not from the beginning.
3-Font choices and Background color: Gives you the option to change the color of the background. Also, the more fonts and styles it has the better.

Nov 22, 2010In Eclipse, when I mouse hover over a built-in method, it displays a method definition including stuff like what the method does, input objects, return objects etc. If I have a yellow line (warning) under the method I'm trying to use, I can't get the mouse-over to show the definition. I searched about nexus since it is similar and saw a few things about the app LOCKBOT, i recommend you atleast try the free version and see, it gives you unlock with the trackpad button and the ability to do custom lockscreen with different styles like Iphone, and different android locks. THis was one grip i didnt like about sense. Stock Android has the ability to swipe to unlock or swipe the other way to mute sounds, which is a nice feature, although i prefer my iphones switch the best
The bad...Ive read stuff about it crashing and being laggy, now i havnt experiended this on the INC, it runs super smooth. But i have been having a few times where the front button will not unlock the phone, maybe an update will fix this or something, but its worth a shot to look at.

When I look at a layout in the design view, there are a number of fields at the top with labels like MCC, MNC, Lang, etc. I've noticed that I can change the contents of these fields, such as orientation, and it has an effect on the view. But a yellow warning triangle appears next to the field I've changed and the next time I open this view I see the unmodified field. For example, if I change to landscape orientation the view goes back to default next time. Is there documentation some place on what these fields mean and how they are supposed to be used?

HTC Desire :: Need Simple Text Editor
Sep 12, 2010My Android Desire is a superb device and will do almost anything I want. Even cleans up around the house and makes coffee and feeds the cat. However, there is one simple thing I cannot get it to do: provide me with a simple text editor like Wordpad so that I can write little texts on the go. I've searched everywhere for this function. I cannot imagine that it is missing from the phone, it's so basic. When I search for "text" I get all sorts of stuff on writing "text" messages, i.e. SMS messages (the term "text" seems to have lost its original meaning and is now used almost exclusively to refer to SMS messages). Where is the Desire equivalent of Wordpad or Notepad or, better, Notepad++?
