I'm been looking for a screnn unlock app with "pull-right-to-unlock" for some time now, and in the Android SDK this was included, but how do I find it in the Market?

Sometimes, after manually locking the phone, I'll try to unlock the phone but the "swipe" bar no longer shows up. It's almost comical when this happens, as I can get phone calls, emails, texts etc during those times (I can even pick up/reply), but the phone goes immediately to that "swipe less" lock screen right afterward. There is no way for me to unlock the phone (even a long press on the lock button doesn't work), so I have to take off the case and do a battery pull to reset. Has any experienced this and does anyone have any fixes for it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedRunning a Bell Galaxy-S with 2.1 and the OCLF. Recently when I lock my phone or it just goes to sleep (screen shuts off) I can't unlock it. The screen just stays blank and it requires me to pull the battery and replace to boot it back up. There doesn't appear to be any consistency with this error and I haven't installed any new apps in recent time that would have changed the phone around.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is for an EVO but i'm thinking maybe it'll be similar to other android phones. what i'd to set up is to have the phone require the 'dot unlock pattern' after it's been sitting for 5 minutes idle. when i set it up with AutoLock, whenever the screen turns off after 1 minute, it'll rqeuire me to do the slide down to unlock which i don't want.

I searched about nexus since it is similar and saw a few things about the app LOCKBOT, i recommend you atleast try the free version and see, it gives you unlock with the trackpad button and the ability to do custom lockscreen with different styles like Iphone, and different android locks. THis was one grip i didnt like about sense. Stock Android has the ability to swipe to unlock or swipe the other way to mute sounds, which is a nice feature, although i prefer my iphones switch the best
The bad...Ive read stuff about it crashing and being laggy, now i havnt experiended this on the INC, it runs super smooth. But i have been having a few times where the front button will not unlock the phone, maybe an update will fix this or something, but its worth a shot to look at.
I've entered a wrong pattern too many times. The phone now asks for my gmail username and password. I tried to enter them, but it doesn't accept the credentials. They are certainly valid, I know because I logged in via web browser with the same name/pass and it works.

I have almost completed my Android application so am considering ways of distributing the application. I have seen some applications on Market have free limited/locked version and separate Unlock Key/License Key which unlocks extra functionality. How is this done? Has anyone here done this? If so, how well does it work? I am thinking maybe this is better then having two versions of the same application (i.e Lite and Pro).

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just wanted to erase my apps and preferences. Well instead it locked my phone. The phone was bought on ebay (idk if it is a dev phone or simply an unlocked phone). When I restared the phone it said "No sim" and emergency call only. I put a sim in, and it wants an unlock pin. Does anyone know a way t-mobile or google or whoever can unlock my phone for free? Someone I can call and explain the situation to? I dont know what to do and don't want to pay $20 to some sketchy company for a pin and I dont think my boss would either.

However I can buy retail version of the phone and I would prefer HTC magic with 288 MB RAM version (for more RAM and memory, so that I can upgrade to android 2.0)
Now, my question is- how can I unlock this device so that it works like a dev phone? Such as, I want to flash, install/upgrade/downgrade android OS, install modified version of android OS.
Am I supposed to be able to unlock my Incredible using WidgetLocker simply by pressing the Home button? Mine unlocks without needing to swipe when I press home. It kind of defeats the purpose if I can unlock it while it is in my pocket.

I'm writing some JUnit tests for my Android Activity.They run fine and report proper results.However, when i automate the test and start the emulator, the emulator starts with an unlock screen. This prevents the test from running correctly.How do I start an emulator without the unlock screen so that it's ready to run a test immediately? Are there commands in the emulator.exe or adb.exe that can close/ remove the unlock screen?

So a friend of mine did too many wrong patterns and the phone is asking for my username and password. When i fill in my login and password, it says "invalid username or password". I tried it like 20 times.I have of course verified the username and password on my gmail, and it works fine. Has this ever happened to anyone ? Is there a way around it ? I refuse to reset my phone to factory settings, i have all my contacts, and important notes in there.I was really looking forward to android, but stuff like this is just unacceptable, really disappointing.

I intend to update the phone to android 2.2, and am concerned that the phone will relock once updated. The phone is the Asian model and is running software similar to the North American with some slight differences. Will it be possible for for me to update to the North American Froyo and make things more 'American' for myself? Has anyone had an experience updating an unlocked phone's firmware?
