i just having a problem with my samsung galaxy s5570 i;m using cm 7.2 but when i disable the lock slider and then i lock my phone now i cannot unlock it there are no slider i also try using the adb shell but it did not work.

My device seems to be dead.
I tried upgrading from GB2.3.4 to 2.3.6, and that's when the problem occurs.
I used ODIN 4.3.8 to flash the firm ware. But ODIN was downloading MIBIB for the past few hours.
And then, the screen appear a "Phone connecting to a PC, with a exclamation mark in between."
As i wasnt actually aware of what i was doing, i accidently flashed a zip file using the stock recovery on my galaxy mini and yeah, now its bricked. After a lot of googling and reading forums, I assume that the phone can be fixed using odin. So, I have downloaded odin and put the phone on download mode, but when i connect the phone to the pc, there is no response whatsoever from the PC. But the phone is charging when connected. The phone can be booted into recovery mode, download mode and emergency download mode. I tried many USB cables, all the usb ports and 2 different PCs. Still no luck. I feel something is wrong with the usb port of the phone. It does look a little distorted as well. So basically, i cannot use odin and was wondering if there is anyway to fix the phone without using odin...

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am a samsung galaxy s user, and have been for a few months, obviously at first i had it as android 2.1, it was brilliant i had nothing to complain about. The other night i updated to 2.2, i think it was that i cant be sure, but, ever since this my phone has just been constant lag, and to be fair i havent noticed any real change except for that, for instance if i recieve a message, my phones unlock screen becomes a lot of puzzle pieces and i have to drag one puzzle piece to a gap, this has become near impossible to do it smoothly, its ridiculous. closing any apps is a nightmare and typing anything is the worse, have i done something wrong? or am i not the only one this is happening to, because my dad has the same phone he updated it just before me and its working fine.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've attempted to root my girlfriends phone for her so I can unlock it, but the phone just wont root. I've tried superoneclick and a ton of other 1 click roots along with the manual rooting at first (where you go into recovery mode and apply the update from the sd card).
I can see the superuser app, however I cannot grant superuser access to any apps. The version is v2.3.6 and if it makes a difference, it's an irish phone locked to use meteor (a network).
I've also downloaded rootchecker from the play store and it says that I do not have "proper root access to the phone" or something similar. Proper was the predominant word though.Whenever I use superoneclick, the application always freezes as well.
I can do the unlocking half of it myself, I just need root access..Also, when in recovery mode, this comes up in yellow at the bottom.
I wanted to put a newer Android into Samsung Mini s5570 so what I did:
1) rooted the device so I could see SuperUser application on it
2) shutdown my phone
3) using Odin I wanted to put new loader to this device so I have pointed OPS file and recovery image for s5570
4) checked OnePackage option
5) turned on phone using 3 buttons (Power, LVolume, Main button) so it switched into Downloading mode
6) Odin detected phone
6) pressed START button
after that it gave some logs and then it freezed on:
<1> recovery.img download..
time keeps going but nothing happens.... once I have even waited for an hour with no success
what I can do to make this phone running again?
I have just got my new Samsung galaxy ACE model GT-S5839i , the problem is that i have been reading a lot of tutorials, about how to root, or unlock the samsung galaxy ACE, but its seem they have done something with the new version and its not working.
There are a lot of stuff out there about the GT-S5830 but anything about the GT-S5839i wich is the one i have got.
So, how to root this phone, or how to enter the recovery mode.
A friend of mine set a password on his Galaxy Note and then he forgot it.Now, I know the solution is to access recovery and wipe data/factory reset.
BUT unfortunately he has lot of pictures and videos stored in the phone memory, not on SD, and he'd like not to lose all of it.
Is there a workaround for that? The Note is stock, but I can work on it, if there's a way to unlock the phone without losing data.

I have an Omnia ( I900 ) at this moment and it's unlocking was very easy. Go to dialer, enter a code that would open a service menu. Chose SIM LOCK and disable it. Soft reboot and voila... Anyway i learned it too late so i have an X-SIM that allows me to use my phone with any sim card. My question is, did anyone unlocked a Galaxy?

Running a Bell Galaxy-S with 2.1 and the OCLF. Recently when I lock my phone or it just goes to sleep (screen shuts off) I can't unlock it. The screen just stays blank and it requires me to pull the battery and replace to boot it back up. There doesn't appear to be any consistency with this error and I haven't installed any new apps in recent time that would have changed the phone around.

I can probably boot into recovery and flash any zip but currently I cannot get to the home screen as it is locked so Lock 2.0 or other Market app is not a solution.
I have a Galaxy S III SGH-i747 running Android 4.1.2 with AT&T, I have already rooted it using Chainfire's method but it is still network locked with AT&T. I've tried getting a code out of AT&T but I don't fulfill the requirement of using the device with them for at least 6 months. Since I've rooted it, is there an easier way to get the phone unlocked?

My Moment does that and it's annoying as I end up pocket dialing people or opening up programs because the keyboard slide on it gets jarred and unlocks the screen.This will be a deal breaker for me between the Epic 4G and EVO.

View 7 Replies View RelatedNoticed today that when the phone is unlocked with the power/unlock button, that the screen starts off at a significantly lower brightness, but the light sensor seems to then kick in and the correct brightness is then displayed after. This happens for only a fraction of a second, but is quite jerky and immediate.Is this normal, or should the screen brightness remain one constant level from unlock? Of course, changing when it should based on lighting conditions.The same also happens when the screen is about to sleep. Once the lock button is pushed, the screen brightness almost notches down in 2 steps. First at half the brightness, or so, and then off completely. Again, not necessarily smooth, but quite jarring.Again, is this normal of other Captivates?

i cracked my Samsung Galaxy s3 screen and the screen was on working fine but i bought a kit to replace the screen and now i get no display on my samsung galaxy s3 i can charge my phone and Green led pops up i can also hear the volume as i turn it up and i can connect to computer as well but i cant see no display? Also phone was rooted to jellybean 4.3 if that makes a difference.

I dropped my phone for the first time ever today, and there are cracks under the screen, and no picture whatsoever. Sounds and buttons still work, and I can turn the phone on and off, but the display remains utterly blank. I've pretty much written the phone off, there's probably nothing I can do for it. However, I would love to recover my pictures, contacts, and music from the phone. Is there any way I can do this without being able to see the phone display?
