General :: Best App For Locating Stolen Android Phone?
Mar 12, 2012What's the best app on the android market for locating a stolen phone?.
I'm looking for something which can relay the approximate phone location (based on gps/wifi) and lock the phone. Also, being operate with a different sim card would be a plus.

Jul 15, 2013I've been using IPP podcast player to download songs/podcast onto my nexus.But when I plug it in to my laptop I cannot find these songs or podcast anywhere. On IPP podcast player it gives me the option of where to store the songs/podcast. Even when in change this and look for them, the folder doesn't exist.

Android :: Locating A GPS App
Jul 30, 2010I seem to almost always come back to this forum while doing a android related google search so I thought I would post this here.I am looking for an app that would allow users to share their gps location with their friends on fly (Live). It would be used for riding atvs on wooded trails. While riding in groups it become difficult to keep together as the trails split. We almost always have cellphone signal while we ride and would just like to upload our current gps location. Note: It would also be great if we could mark the trail on the map and share it with the group.

Nov 8, 2012I've just started creating some Android application and I successfully made application that locates user's latitude and longitude.
Well. The problem is that I am interested about the way how android does that with maps tools since my application starts a GPS and it takes like 10 minutes, before it finds a location indoors and maybe sometimes it doesn't even find a GPS indoors, but if I use Maps application that comes with phone it works fine indoors and outdoors it's same where I am.. the location I'm standing on is directly found without waiting any minutes. (I've changed a place and it's directly there without waiting)
Can it be done as easily as GPS locating?

I can go to settings and set them as a ringtone however when i go to them in file manager or astro the file manager that i use from the market place they are no where to be found on my memory card. I had uninstalled this app as it was completely messed up when I got my first android last week and went to go find it in the market place and it is no longer there...I tried using the barcode for the location in the marketplace to no avail and even tried clicking the link on the bottom of the webpage while using the browser that said "download facebook for your moment" which brings me to an error message that states "the requested item could not be found"

General :: Can't Find CWM Backup Folder
May 8, 2014I was running out of space on internal SD on my Samsung Galaxy S3, so I deleted the CWM backups (I thought I did) and that gave me back to 7GB of free space.
Ran the CWM backup again, but now, the only backup I can find is at mnt/sdcard/clockworkmmod/backup/1970-01-07.06.00.46. All the files in that folder are dated 1970 as well.
Free space went down to 4.xGB, so there is a backup somewhere (and the screen messages seemed normal as it ran).
The previous backup folders I deleted had the date of the backup as the first part of the filename, e.g. 2013-05-17.xxxxx. Is this 1970 one I am seeing my new backup? Why is it a 1970 date?
is there any way to get CWM to store the backup folder on extsd and restore from there?

Oct 22, 2013after flashing AOKP all of my files disappeared its like creating another folder for the sd card . and the old one disappeared. i checked the recovery so the old folder ( with my photos and files ) in the storage but it doesnt appear to me even in the computer . i used root explorer , astro i didnt find the old folder ( named 0 after flashing ) ?

Also, completely irrelevant, but I'm using a USB mass storage app to try to use mass storage instead of MTP/PTP but when hooked up onto computer, removable disks are grayed out.

General :: CWM - Can't Find Restore Folder
May 3, 2014Never had this issue before in the past 4 year I've used Clockworkmod but basically I have my backup folder on my external SD and whenever I try to restore a backup via the backup and restore menu in recovery I get an error saying there are none to be found.
Been googling for the past hour with no luck and it's now 3:05am and I'm just about ready to launch my device out the window.

Jul 26, 2012I accidentally (sure!) removed all permissions on a folder in / so now the system can't even read it to display it in root explorer. I've searched pretty hard and tried chmod and a couple other ideas in the terminal but nothing so far has worked.
