Oct 20, 2012I am not able to boot my phone into recovery, nor i am able to install clockworkmod recovery on my device. I have recently rooted my device by using the instructions by - nabeel (on the sony ericsson forum).
I am currently on android 4.0.4 build number--4.1.B.0.587 bootloader--unlocked kernel version--2.6.32.9-perf builduser@buildhost # 1
Is it even possible to install cwm recovery on my phone? If not then how am i supposed to install a custom ROM?

Apr 12, 2013With gingerbread the player has root/can get root, but with android 4.0.4 (the newest update for the walkman) there is no root. How i can get root on the device?
With gingerbread + S.onyTablet.S v5.3 [ALLinONE] i can get root (because tablet s/walkman z = same rom, i assume), but with ice cream sandwich 4.0.4 the tool is not working/can't get root. The DooMLoRD's Easy Rooting Toolkit and Bin4ry-toolkit is also not working.

Nov 24, 2010I was looking at a Samsung phone today that had a Live Wallpaper that I really liked. It's called Ocean Waves and it's like you are looking through water down into a sandy ocean floor. Nice reflecting light and ripple patterns. So I checked out the Market but I couldn't find it however did I did find it at another site and I was able to download it. The file is a Zip file which contains several folders and individual files. Could someone tell me how to install these files so that I can add this to my LiveWallpaper library? I have installed the Zip file in the download folder of my SD card.

I'm able to access internet through my browser, but when connecting through GTALK, GMAIL, Android Market even Opera Mini 5 it says no connection Available.
I had similar problem on my previous phone SEW995 which i resolved it setting the Proxy Server as HTTP (by default its Multiple).
Is there any way i can do the same on the android?

Nov 18, 2010A few days ago I updated to 2.1 . And the phone works great. Now the thing is that yesterday I noticed the battery was draining a little bit faster than usual, I had been using the Particle Storm Live Wallpaper, so I thought that was the reason. What was my surprise when I changed to an static wallpaper and noticed the battery kept going down really fast. I checked the battery usage and it said that Wifi was draining 33%, Screen 20 something and the live wallpaper only 3 %. Is it normal for Wifi to drain so much battery? Does it depend on the use or what? Shouldn't 3g drain more battery than Wifi?
