if anyone wants to watch live tv streaming either through wi-fi or 3g then check out this web site,i have just done it and it works on both wi-fi and 3g,even thought the 3g signal is **** where i live. I am on o2 and i was always told they didnt support a live stream but it does work. Check it out and let me know.

According to Phone arena the Xperia X10 is a global gsm phone that would work on t-mobiles networks and the X10A will work for At&t's networks. after talking to orange on the phone for a long time, They were very help full, unlike Sony Ericsson, it turns out that while at home when my phone says its connected to WiFi, and is usually as I have tested by turning of data 3G and things on the hand set. It is still using 3G and streaming through the mobile internet.
Orange tell me its a problem with the handset and they have had a few people with the same problem. Orange kindly didn't charge me for my data use and told me to ring Sony who were very unhelpful and just claimed it isn't the hand set. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if any thing can be done. I now try to always have the 3G off but not sure if that is going to help.
When using YouTube the video isn't full screen? just not possible on 1.6?also I have to go to options then more then switch to high quality EVERY video i go to....isnt there a option to always have that on?!!?!?
last question.. how can i view streaming video from a website like nothings.com or any other daily updated viral video site.. need flash or something?

Been reading about this and it goes back as far as Octber 2008!! WTF is going on. Sony are bound to have a simple fix for this.
All of my sony ericsson phones before (including the satio) had a working alarm clock when i turned my phone off at night time.
I got this phone with the intention of watching live sports on it. The only site that works, and that I trust, is Justin.tv. But when I go on the site from my phone is says "Your mobile device does not support Justin.tv". Does anyone know if their's an application or program I have to download?

View 8 Replies View RelatedGot a brand new phone yesterday. Upgraded it to Android 2.1 before using it. In general, phone is functioning properly, however none of the applications (i.e. YouTube, Gmail, Maps) will work over the 3G connection, but the Web Browser does function ok. The apps will work over WiFi (which isn't much use if you're trying to use maps or gmail on the go). I have tried restarting phone (battery out restart). It is not a signal strength issue, I am getting HSPA with full bars and it still times out with "no connection detected" (or variations thereof, depending on the actual application). I can work around this using the web browser based clients for these apps, but as they aren't streamlined they are a PITA to use.

It's called Ocean Waves and it's like you are looking through water down into a sandy ocean floor. Nice reflecting light and ripple patterns. So I checked out the Market but I couldn't find it however did I did find it at another site and I was able to download it. The file is a Zip file which contains several folders and individual files. Could someone tell me how to install these files so that I can add this to my LiveWallpaper library? I have installed the Zip file in the download folder of my SD card.

I'm able to access internet through my browser, but when connecting through GTALK, GMAIL, Android Market even Opera Mini 5 it says no connection Available.
I had similar problem on my previous phone SEW995 which i resolved it setting the Proxy Server as HTTP (by default its Multiple).
Is there any way i can do the same on the android?

Now the thing is that yesterday I noticed the battery was draining a little bit faster than usual, I had been using the Particle Storm Live Wallpaper, so I thought that was the reason. What was my surprise when I changed to an static wallpaper and noticed the battery kept going down really fast. I checked the battery usage and it said that Wifi was draining 33%, Screen 20 something and the live wallpaper only 3 %. Is it normal for Wifi to drain so much battery? Does it depend on the use or what? Shouldn't 3g drain more battery than Wifi?

But when I do this there is no Sony Ericsson option.
I was surprised that SONY is not providing a software which enables the user to sync the Xperia X10 mini pro directly with your computer (e.g. Outlook).
After wasting a lot of time I generated an account at Sony webpage and managed all my accounts including "birthday" but now I found out that the
phone is not creating a corresponding calendar entry and therefore my phone is not reminding me for any birthday.
So I did some modding (unfortunately) to the framework-res.apk file and it worked the first time and a few other times but then I changed something and now when I turn on the phone it freezes at the "Sony Ericsson" screen before the logo. What do I do?
I tried pushing the backup framework file but it says "failed to copy framework-res.apk to /sdcard/framework-res.apk: Permission denied
However, when I use adb devices, it does show my device as being attached.
So what can I do now?
I was also able to pull files...
Also tried manually putting the framework-res.apk in the sdcard and then using adb to copy it to the framework folder. Doesnt work. Saids that the directory cannot be open for read. I guess the device cant read the SD card until it boots up.
I saw that there are already a number of discussions about sony erricson synchronization but I cannot find one for this specific message: Synchronization failed. It wouldn't tell me why it failed, it just spits out that generic message after I click "Finish" in the Sony Ericsson Sync Client Wizard.
