Jul 24, 2010I used the Simple Root Technique completely. My phone is done. (used Simple Root 1, not OTA). Now, I'm trying to backup my phone with ROM Manager and then flash a ROM. (is this needed?) I downloaded ROM Manager and when I click "Flash Clockwork Mod Recovery" (to set it up on my phone) it gives me "An Error Occurred While Trying to Run Privileged Commands!" After I rebooted after the Flash Recovery in step 3 (which I thought installed Clockwork..or maybe not, I don't know) it gave me the option of putting data that was backed up onto my phone from the SD card....I said "Cancel" instead of allowing it. Was that a mistake?? Do I need to redo this entire process from scratch?? What am I doing wrong? If I don't need ROM Manager, then how do I enter Clockwork without it (from the 3rd step/process from Simple Root)? Am I doing an unnecessary step here by downloading ROM Manager? What exactly did Flashing Recovery in Step 3 of Simple Root do? Should I just flash a ROM over what I have? I am completely new to this.

HTC Incredible :: 3g Goes Off / Flash 2.15 Radio?
Oct 14, 2010A long time ago I upgraded to the 2.15 radio. Everything worked great except for one thing. Occasionally (once every 2-3 days) my 3g goes off and I can't turn it back on. I'll toggle airplane mode to no avail. Is there a way I can re flash the 2.15 radio? I wouldn't even mind returning to stock before re-rooting if thats what it takes.

Sep 2, 2010I've got an HTC Magic on Rogers that I rooted and flashed to CM5 stable about a month ago. Everything runs great, except occasionally (sometimes once a day, sometimes more) the radio seems to go into la-la land. The 3G icon will disappear, but I still show bars.... however there is no connectivity. Once it falls into this state it seems to kill the battery quite quickly. The only way to wake it back up is to reboot the phone or to toggle airplane mode on then back off. When CM6 stable came out a few days ago, I thought I would give that a shot and see if it made any difference... unfortunately it didn't (runs great otherwise though!). I'm currently using radio version 3.22.26.17... is there perhaps another version I can try?
I just got looking thru my Network settings and I had 3 APN's listed (Rogers 1, Rogers 2 and Rogers MMS I think). With Rogers 1 selected, it would register and I would get the 3G icon. With Rogers 2, it wouldn't... so I've deleted the Rogers 2 entry.

Today I rooted my DInc with Unrevoked Forever, then I Flashed the 8/1 Froyo Leak but I did not flash the Radio.
My Software Info is:

PRI Version - 1.28.002
So far the phone works I have Market 2.2 etc, but I tested Hulu and found out that my "handset" doesn't work with this format. I'm not sure how to check for Flash 10.1 but some video worked on the Adobe flash player site.

Feb 14, 2012any way to disable the phone radio WITHOUT that stupid "flight mode" or whatever? In Windows Mobile, I had a Comm Manager and I just had to press a button when I wanted to turn off the phone without any stupid flight mode crap, and this is one of my biggest complains about Android.

Sep 12, 2009Recently bought the HTC Hero Unlocked White Teflon version. Had an i Phone 3G with the unlimited Data/ Text plan. I called and asked them to enable the MMS feature early since it is blocked for i Phone users. So they dropped me down to a regular data plan which did not work. Then upgraded me to a smart phone data plan. And I called again to reactivate to an i Phone plan. Called numerous times. Reinstalled the Sim on the i Phone data is active. I have done all the usually remove Sim card/ factory reset. About as much as I can do on a mac OS wise. They still cannot seem to get my data to work.
