just got froyo and i am trying to stream some radio stations that use flash but it takes so long to load up its bothersome and the player that loads is so small you cant even see the controls. whats the best way to use adobe flash to stream radio.

Today I rooted my DInc with Unrevoked Forever, then I Flashed the 8/1 Froyo Leak but I did not flash the Radio.
My Software Info is:
Android 2.2
BaseBand - 1.00.03.04.06
Kernel - 2.6.32.15 - g5e1ad8b htc-kernel@and 18-2 #1
PRI Version - 1.28.002
So far the phone works I have Market 2.2 etc, but I tested Hulu and found out that my "handset" doesn't work with this format. I'm not sure how to check for Flash 10.1 but some video worked on the Adobe flash player site.
After flashing Radioactive Froyo 1.8.7 Panda Radio doesn't work. It loads but when I go to run it a popup appears and says it has stopped unexpectedly to retry. No matter retrying it won't work.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThere is a radio station I like, it is on itunes, but also available for stream at their own website. The stream looks for compatibility with Windows media player, or itunes, Winamp, or their own platform which loads on my phone but does not work correctly with no volume.
How I can listen to this station, and what I need to download?

I've got a Moto S9 headset connected to my Incredible. While in a local music app (htc media player, tunewiki, mixzing, etc) the bluetooth headset controls work just fine. If I'm in a streaming radio app (pandora,last.fm, slacker) and press the bluetooth controls it will start playing the last accessed local music player. Does anybody else see similar behavior? this seems like a pretty big bug/problem to me.
View 4 Replies View RelatedA long time ago I upgraded to the 2.15 radio. Everything worked great except for one thing. Occasionally (once every 2-3 days) my 3g goes off and I can't turn it back on. I'll toggle airplane mode to no avail. Is there a way I can re flash the 2.15 radio? I wouldn't even mind returning to stock before re-rooting if thats what it takes.
View 5 Replies View RelatedPrior to the 2.2 update if I was streaming music (Pandora or similar) or listening to MP3's (HTC's music player) while I was using the Google Navigation feature to get somewhere, my music would fade out when Google Needed to give me driving instructions, then fade back up afterwards. This was a brilliant feature to me. Yesterday, I found myself using music and navigation for the first time since my late Friday 2.2 update. Now, it appears I have to choose what I want to hear. If music is playing and the navigation needs to give me instructions, it just stops the music altogether - it doesn't start back. OR I can mute the navigation instructions and just listen to the music. But they are working together the way they used to. I haven't received a phone call while playing/streaming music to see if this issue goes with that too. I'll check it at home tonight and see and report back.

i downloaded the newest radio update and i booted into clockworkmod and installed but when i went into about phone the radio version stayed the same..

Anytime I try and run the update in recovery I get the error message...
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command (this comes up before even trying to run the update)
Pre-Froyo streaming video used to be pretty good on Incredible. My work often involves repetitive tasks, and the streaming video on my Incredible was, if not incredibly fast, good enough that I could catch up on TV shows which I could not make time for at home. Now, after a factory reset and Froyo, the sites which I used to stream these shows from no longer work properly on my Incredible. I actually tried several of them, including zshare, novamov, smotri, wisevid, divxden - most of these worked good enough prior to Froyo, now they all act strangely, just enough to waste my time, and then crash.
I almost thought I was ready to stop burning time making Incredible and Android work for me, and start making it work in my life. A deciding factor which sold me on this phone was the streaming video capability which others lacked at the time - and why should any smart phones not have this capability, which has been available on PCs for 10 years, in a time when smart phones can download web pages nearly as fast as Road Runner service actually does? Now that Verizon and HTC have my money, they start restricting what I can do with it, just like everybody else. Screw you, Android, HTC, Verizon, and every fanboy who defends the trojan horse they call Froyo! You fanboys, especially, who enable these frauds with your relativistic arguments. Yes, I probably am using Android and not an Apple phone because I like bluetooth, wi-fi, and my own choice of battery power, but none of that excuses the promise of features which don't actually perform - this is what the unbrainwashed would call fraud!
Anyone else having issues with ESPN Radio since updating to Froyo? Mine starts and plays but disconnects after about a minute or so.

1. I am looking to use the phone to listen to radio (radio 5 and maybe radio 1 and 2 as well) and send the sound wirelessly to suitable bluetooth headphones - I assume this is perfectly possible?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI use my streaming radio apps a lot...in particular RadioTime and iheartradio so that I can listen to some local programming while I work out. I just downloaded the ESPN Radio app for the same purposes.
These programs seemed to work pretty well at first. I seemed to have a steady signal, the buffering was smooth, etc. Lately not so much. Often times they are so choppy it's not even worth listening....and I don't think it's a signal issue as I have also experienced this when I'm outside riding my bike. And I live in a very populated suburb with extremely strong coverage.
Also I have noticed particularly with RadioTime and the ESPN app that they seem to "time out" after 10-15 minutes. The program will be running along streaming just fine, and all of a sudden it just stops and I have to wake up the phone, turn the stream off and then turn the stream on again to get it rolling. Very irritating.
I figure this must be something in the settings for the phone, since the programs themselves have very few settings.
Since the update I'm now able to stream radio stations that weren't able to stream before. I'm assuming its because of Flash. However, in order to keep streaming the browser screen has to remain open ie I can't open another browser tab or switch to another application. Any ideas how to make this run in the background so I can use other apps or open other tabs while streaming?
Also, on another web page there is an option to stream a show or click to download the show as an mp3. When I click the link to download it opens the streaming player and gives me an error that it can't stream that type of file. I didn't have this issue on my blackberry. Clicking the link started the mp3 download. Suggestions?
Has anyone found a way to stream sirius radio from their evo using the online sirius flash player? Using orb and usirius (or any other similar program) seemed to do the trick on the iPhone. Can't get that to work on the evo though. Launching the online app itself does everything but play the stream. I have the sirius app, i'm looking to stream the channels that aren't supported by it.
