Dec 13, 2013Since 12.12.13 there is a new update of google search in playstore.
If i install this update, the google experience launcher changes the grid size (now i have less icons) and some widgets disappear or are resized.
Is there a possibility to change the grid size of the experience launcher desktop with a hack?

I want one for use on a galaxy gear watch so that i can have the main screen set to 4x5 for the widget and then as the screen is so small i want the other screens to only have a 2x2 or 3x3 grid so the icons are big enough.

Apr 29, 2012I have tried numerous launchers and have found it difficult to find any launchers that allow you to go above 72x72 resolution for icons. The only one that would was Go Launcher EX and that simply scaled them up to a barely noticeable 82x82.

Feb 29, 2012I am using the OEM Android email app. Attacing a picture is no problem. If I try and attach say a video of 5 plus mb it won't attach. I get an error message telling me file is too large to attach.
(I have a ZTE Blade running Android 2.3.7 on a Cyanogenmod ROM 7.10.)

- what is the maximum permisable file size for attachments;

May 9, 2014I noticed that the videos in Youtube looked much better on my new phone then on the previous phone and thought that the Youtube app was defaulting to the HD stream (previous phone had really crappy WiMax, new phone is LTE @14Mbps even inside a large warehouse). After toggling it on and off to be sure it was indeed off, it appears that it still is using a higher bitrate stream probably because of the great LTE. What is strange though, is that last week, Youtube was averaging 150-200MB a day after watching a couple of videos. This week, after toggling HD on/off, it's nearly 3-4x as much and rapidly using up my data for the month. The "regular" stream also doesn't look that much different at all from the "HD" stream, so it could be it's stuck on the HD stream because of the high bandwidth my LTE connection has (or something else).
I want to use a lower quality stream to conserve my data, but have not been able to find any way to do so within the Youtube app, or via a Xposed module. Is there any way to choose the video size at all on a Android device? I'd prefer to stick with the stock Google Youtube app (via some external control/option?), but if I have to use some other app to do so I will.
