View 6 Repliesi am trying for a long time and customizing my acro s. i have now come to the part where i want to change the icons in app drawer.
is there no easier way to do this than pull the apps from the phone, changing the icon.png and push it back to phone? i dont want to use any launcher!!
do i have to decompile/compile.? or is enough just to open the .apk with 7z and change the .png
With the stock TW laucher of my SGS 2 (ICS) I would like to move pages in the App drawer, say move page number 5 to the end (page number 12) but I just can't figure out how to do that.
I can move Icons, add and remove pages and folders but I can't move an entire page. Is this not possible with the App drawer of TW launcher?
My phone is rooted. I want to be able to hide app icons from app drawer. But i want to be able to use it.
I tried CCSW App Manager but when it hides, i couldn't be able to use.
For example 2cloud. When i am going to share url, i can use it from right click. But i don't want 2cloud icon in appdrawer.
I have up facing arrows on 3 icons in the app drawer using Go Launcher. The icons are CLZ Movies, Kies Air and one other that I can't remember.
Thought it might have been an indication that there were updates available for these apps, but checking the market there is nothing.
Had my Razr HD for about 1 1/2 weeks. Moved to Nova launcher a week ago. Love it. Posted about built in widgets vs NOVA, but this is about a function within NOVA. How to set up 'Drawers' or their relationship to folders and tabs. I'm assuming a Drawer is similar to a folder in that it is a collection of apps, bookmarks and widgets. But then what is a folder in NOVA-speak? Tabs? Where do they fit in? And I can't figure out how to set up a Drawer.

View 6 Replies View RelatedBut is it possible to have ADW launcher have the default app drawer or are the launcher and appdrawer tied together. eg you can only have one or the other. The device in question is the motorola xoom wifi.
Reason being is because I enjoy having ADW launcher's ability to take up the full screen on my xoom as opposed to have the columns on either side where you cant place app (wasted screen real estate if you ask me, since theirs no need for a tapping area when you can swipe to change screens). But at the same time I very much enjoy the ICS app drawer and being able to see a visual representation of my widgets and what not.
if it is possible to have both the ICS app drawer and a custom launcher? By this I mean to have the custom launcher home screen and the default appdrawer? I have googled but I haven't found an answer Thats why im asking. I don't know enough about android to figure it out on my own, So can you have both your cake and eat it too? Or is the homescreen tied to their respective launchers. Eg you cant have the default app drawer without also using the default homescreen launcher? Or is it possible to mix and match app drawer's with a launcher. my initial feeling is that they're tied together,
i would like to add empty slots, to spread the apps out a little, rather than having 16 on one page, you could do this using the stock launcher, so why cant i do this on GO Launcher EX ,

When I install an app (which is typically via the Play Store) the app icon does not end up on my home screen. Or what I think Apex calls a drawer. Occasionally an app does appear there automatically, but perhaps a couple out of the 50 or so apps I've installed.
The only way I have found to get them onto my drawer (or home screen) is I have to hold my finder on the screen and the "Add to Home screen" menu pops up. From there I can select "Shortcuts" and from the top of that menu I can select "Apps". I can then select just ONE app to appear on my home screen. But the thought of doing this for every app doesn't make sense to me. Is there a way to get them there automatically?
Perhaps I am completely misunderstanding the concept of the home screens. I am switching over from iOS, and there one organises all apps on home screens. Perhaps on Android the home screen is not meant for storing and accessing all the app icons??
Trying to find a theme for nova launcher that has nice drawer icon...(where the apps are) no luck atm...
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just installed Launcher Pro and set up a couple home screens. It's pretty nice but I don't care for the bland app drawer. I prefer the app drawer that's default on my Samsung Captivate. Is there a way to have Launcher Pro use the default app drawer?

I've tried Go Launcher EX, but I hated the small dock icons. I'm using Samsung Galaxy Nexus, is there a Launcher that:
1. Don't alter the ICS dock icon size, or that have an option to resize the dock icons?
2. That support swipe gesture in the dock? (Swipe upwards to open shortcut)
3. Where it is easy to swap icons?
Which Launcher can do this?
There are many launchers with the featuring allowing resizing of widgets.
But I have yet to find a launcher that allows scaling of icons. I can't resize my application icons to 2x2 size, then change it to a custom image since the default icon would be blurry by the resizing.
Any launcher that does that?
Does anyone know of a way to hide icons in LauncherPro from the App Drawer? There are a bunch of apps that I don't use often or have icons and/or widgets on the home screen to access them. My app drawer feels really cluttered.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm testing out Lightning Launcher on my SGS4 and so far, I really like what I see -- especially the ability to "pin" icons in a certain location.
But I've noticed that some icons (not all) have a line above them for some reason. At first, I wanted to get rid of all the lines. But then I realized that I'd like to show them on some icons -- but I want to control which ones.
I want to pin two rows of icons to create sort of a 2-row dock. And I'd like to have a line above the top row.
how to control this line?
I am using adw launcher ex and theme chooser to customize my phones gui.
I have encountered a small problem with icons, i dont want to use the themes icons i want to use the default icons of the phone is this possible i have searched the menu and options but found nothing?
i've installed Nova launcher on my tablets and phone and love it but there's one issue I can't seem to find anything about.
I set my launch screen to have say 7wide*5high icons then this will look good in landscape but when rotating to portrait the amount of icons is rotated also so it's at 7 wide and 5 high even though the aspect ratio has flipped. I don't get why launchers don't just rotate the icons on the spot so that it looks good in one rotation and not the other.
How to update the icons in Google now launcher bcz i fed up from icons so tell me any procedure to change icon view.

Is their a program that will hide drawer apps WITHOUT using a launcher? I want to keep the sense UI but hide some of my apps. I am rooted as well.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using the latest version of GO Launcher Theme Factory, and I've made a theme with around 30 icons, but I can't seem to add custom icons for other apps that aren't in GO's list. For example, I want to add a Nexflix icon for my theme, but I can't because when I double click on the add custom icon button, GO wants me to open an .apk file, not an image file. How to add a new icon to the list where it's actually an image file, or .apk file that I could download to my comp that has a bunch of custom icons listed (I'll make my own actual icons).
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am running Apex Launcher Pro and have started to notice a problem. When I uninstall apps that I have in folders in Apex Launcher Pro, the icons for those apps are not being removed when i uninstall the apps. I uninstalled roughly 30-40 apps not too long ago and they are all still present in my app folders on my desktop. Is there a way to have Apex remove these icons when uninstalling apps? Currently I have to go and test icons to see if the apps are installed or uninstalled in order to test them, which can be quite annoying if you have a large number of apps.
I am running the latest Apex on a Verizon GS3 running Synergy ROM.
Jelly Bean takes too much room in spacing. I'd like the top 2 widgets to be closer, allowing more folders icons on desktop. Is this possible without reverting to a new Launcher?

I have a 2.2 Froyo Droid X not-rooted and I really don't want to root it. I've pretty much figured how to create shortcuts with custom icons, and I'm using Launcher Pro and Desktop Visualizer for the shortcuts that are not on my dock... what I want to know is, can I customize without rooting the icons of the applications themselves or no?

This forum is the best, Is there a way that I could arrange the icons in the app drawer in order of installation date? I'm running Virtuous 3.0.1
