I want to change the password on my Google/Gmail account � that�s easy enough online, but where are the account details held on my Hero? Is it possible to trip the Google account set up screens again? Surely a factory reset is not required!

I have tried changing the password but its still the same. I know its not a password issue as I can login to google.com on my desktop and laptop.I also went to this site and tried to add a Google account but it did not work. Tried setting up a different Google ID and it worked right away. So it looks like there has to be some issue with my Google ID.

I have recently wasted all of my time on my tablet. I have stop using my tablet since new years eve due to my forgotten google account password. I have to hard resetting it but my Tablet does not have volume buttons on the outside only on the touch screen.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI got my HTC Desire a few days ago, and as I needed a Google account for the Market I rememberd one I had created/palyed around with some months ago. The credentials were stored in my KeePass file, but the password was like 20 random letters and numbers. So I changed it to something typeable and entered it in my phone. Needles to say I forgot to change it in keepass and now I can't remember it.
Is there any practicable way to show the password stored in my device?
I'm writing because I'm having some trouble. Due to some hacking attempts, I had to change my primary gmail password to something wacky, and now, of course, my EVO can't access my google account for my contacts and calendar.
I can't find a way to change the password, however. I've tried clearing the data from the gmail program as recommended in another thread, but now I keep getting the captcha over and over again.
Any advice or suggestions as to what I can do to fix this?
This is driving me insane. When I setup my Hero I had to setup a gmail account, even though I have a Google Account. I setup a gmail account to get the phone setup. I now want to make my gmail account something that makes a little more sense to me. I am not using my gmail account but apparently it shows on Google Latitude to my friends, etc. My question is how does one unlink a gmail account and add a new one? When I go to my Google Accounts to delete gmail it says it will take about 2 days. I wait 2 days and nothing happens. If I attempt to add Gmail back to my Google Account is hows my old address and will not allow me to create a new one. Is it not possible to change the linked gmail address to your google account??

I also run my own domain, and have just migrated my domain's email and calendar to Google Apps. I would like to set my phone up to sync everything from my Google Apps account rather than the random Gmail account I signed up for when I got the phone. Is there any way to achieve this without doing a Factory Data Reset? I am willing to do the Factory Data Reset if I have to, but if I need to go through that process, are there any procedures I should follow to backup important data before hand? Also, will the reset take me back to 1.5?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have two gmail accounts, each with their own Google Voice account. Account 1 is my primary account, and I have even ported my phone number to this account. I'm using this account on my phone (nexus 5), and have 0 issues with this account. All texts, voicemails, etc come through with no issues. Account 2 is largely not used. I would like to use account 2 on my nexus 7, for texts, and maybe making calls if I don't want to give out my real number to someone.
My issue is when I'm logged in to account 2 on my nexus 7, I'm getting text notifications for account 1 on my nexus 7. But if I were to open Google Voice on the nexus 7, once GV refreshes, the texts disappear. It doesn't happen the other way around. If I get a text/vm to account 2, it does not notify my phone, which is logged in to account 1.
I've checked the settings in both GV accounts, and neither account is linked to the other, or to send copies of texts/vm notifications to the other. How do I stop notifications from GV account 1 to stop displaying on account 2? I have cleared cache, data, uninstalled the app. The only thing i have not done, is a reset of the nexus 7.
I was initially logged in to account 1 on my nexus 7, but I would have thought removing the app from the device would have essentially erased all traces of the account 1 on the nexus 7. I even signed out of hangouts, to make sure Google was not treating this like my phone, and sending it both places.
Does anyone know how i can change the primary account on the xperia without having to go erase the whole phone? please let me know.

My husband's Droid was factory-reset by Verizon yesterday, and he lost all of his apps and also forgot his Google login for Marketplace. We set up a new account, but then realized that he can't get his apps back. I figured out his original login, but cannot figure out how to log him out so we can log him back in using his original account.

I've never seen this pop up on any android phone we've had. She does use the native Email app on her corporate account, so this may be due to that. I have 2 gmail accounts. Unfortunately, one of them is for my calendar and contacts and the other is for my personal e-mail. As of now, my cal and contacts are syncing fine but I do not use the e-mail account that is associated with thier username. I have my other account (personal e-mail) set up sepeartely....along with a few other e-mail accounts(work and etc.). I would like to know if i can leave my cal and contacts setup on the regular droid sync account but change the e-mail account to my personal acct. so it will "push" by default with out having it in a seperate palce on the droid. I know this is confusing but i dont know how else to explian it.

I am coming from a BB Storm where my Road Runner (internet provider) email account worked flawlessly on the Storm. Back in the day when i had a Treo there was big work around you had to use in order to get email accounts like this to work on it.Is this the case with a Droid as well, or is it as simple as the BB storm where i just enter in my email and password in setup and it is done? The sales rep on the phone told me i would be able to get my RR emails on the droid but we all know how sales reps can be.

Go to the GMail app, select add account, fill in the metrics and then...... "Needs to communicate" message for ~ 3 minutes, then bombs out with - "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server". 3G is fine, on a wifi connection that is fine, web browser works fine..... BUT i found that some of my existing contact is without name but having the phone number and i am not sure if there is any missing contacts?
Then I retry to login with the old ID and the contacts details came back to normal with one or two without the names.
I have a kindle fire, I was able to root the kindle and I installed the android market, set it up using my google account and now I would like to change the account in the market but I can't find where can I do that....
