General :: Stuck At Boot Password?
Mar 11, 2012i am stuck at the boot password screen when i didnt not set any password for my asus transformer. i had started it up in the am no problem and then it froze around noon and then when i rebooted it, it came to this password screen, and nothing works, I have talked to the guys over at transformer forums and they said that i should try to go in it through my computer but my computer doesnt seem to recognize it either. I dont know what to do and i feel like i have a 500 dollar paper weight. its a tf101 32 g asus transformer

Jan 10, 2013I can login to Gmail.com on any desktop/mobile browser however whenever I try to add a Google Account on my phone, I get this error: Your username and password do not match. (To recover your account information, go to URL.... on your computer.)"
I have tried changing the password but its still the same. I know its not a password issue as I can login to google.com on my desktop and laptop.I also went to this site and tried to add a Google account but it did not work. Tried setting up a different Google ID and it worked right away. So it looks like there has to be some issue with my Google ID.
how it happened as it was working fine until I reset my phone.

Mar 3, 2013I have a nexus 4. Recently tried to root it and install a rom. Guess I did something horribly wrong. Phone is now stuck on the google screen. Ive used the nexus root toolkit to try and restore it to factory settings and tried do a factory resest from the repair tool. Flashed the factory image from the tool kit also. none of this seems to work.

Having been really frustrated with the low volume on the device, I decided to try the method mentioned on this link - Download Fix for Google Galaxy Nexus I9250 Volume Issue - Android Advices (VolumeFix by MoDaCo)
After I applied the fix and rebooted, my phone got stuck at the Google screen. My phone was unlocked prior to applying this fix so I went ahead and installed the CWM recovery - despite that, I cannot go past the Google screen, I haven't been able to install the CWM-SuperSU on my phone yet because I cannot transfer it to my phone without having it connected as a USB storage device. I tried adb push CWM-SuperSU-v0.87.zip /sdcard/ but it says "device not found"
I have even downloaded the stock 4.2.1 ROM to flash my phone with it, but at this stage I cannot do anything. I have logged into recovery and have wiped cache/ partitions/ dalvik etc but still it doesn't work.

May 16, 2014The app is stuck on loading screen, despite restarts, clearing cache, etc. It won't load on my Nexus 5 (wifi or cellular data) or my NVIDIA Shield. Other apps that require internet seem to be working fine on both devices. This has been ongoing for at least a couple hours now.

Mar 14, 2014Am new to my Nexus 4. After seeing many Nexus with custom roms, i thought to have one as well. I rooted my nexus using Nexus root toolkit and installed TWRP. Today i tried to install Beanstalk Rom in my phone. I installed the Gapps as well. I dint format the phone before flashing custom rom. When the phone started with the custom rom,i was getting a message like the rom is not stable and u need to clear the partitions. So i tried going back to the recovery mode and wiped everything except USB OTG. Now am stuck at google screen at startup. I cant access the phones memory to put the Rom and flash the same again.

I was wondering if now that I have root there is a way to install a boot password similar to the one I have on my computer. Before it loads the operating system, the BIOS asks for a password. Is there any similar functionality for android?
Also, is this possible on other devices even if it is not on mine? It's one of my favorite laymen security measures.

The password screen locks and when it asks for the user name and password it states invalid user name / password!
Is this a known problem since when I called and talked to both Verizon and HTC the only thing they could tell me was to do a hard reset and they weren't aware of this problem?
HTC EVO 4G :: Can't Change Google Password / Fix This?
Oct 20, 2010I'm writing because I'm having some trouble. Due to some hacking attempts, I had to change my primary gmail password to something wacky, and now, of course, my EVO can't access my google account for my contacts and calendar.
I can't find a way to change the password, however. I've tried clearing the data from the gmail program as recommended in another thread, but now I keep getting the captcha over and over again.
Any advice or suggestions as to what I can do to fix this?

Apr 19, 2010I was out with a friend, he asked if he could use my droid to check something on Grisliest, he sent a link thru my g mail account. Then I noticed when loggin back on to g mail it was asking me for my password? I put it in and it kept saying WRONG password (it was not).Went on my pc at home and still could not get into my account. clicked help they asked for my address, I put it in, then a scene came on saying my account has been suspended due to a violation of there terms and policies, I wrote them 3 days ago, they have not gotten back to me, I got a support phone number, but a recording says google does not have tech support via phone. So now I can not log onto my g mail, android market, maps, all I can do now is make phone calls. what can I do.

May 5, 2010So I set up Google Voice to be my voicemail provider on my phone.
Twice.
The first time I did it directly on the site and followed the instructions.....THEN I went to the phone and actually changed it in the Voicemail provider settings (there is a spot for it)
When called it still made me put in my voicemail #.
So I started the process over again.
This time I set up my verizon voice mail with the phone number and the ",****" for the pause and the password. Then i told it to use google voicemail.
Then I went into google voicemail and set up the phone again.
And....
Voila....it automatically puts in my password for me now. Although on the phone it doesn't show that its there at all.
There doesn't seem to be a reason to switch the setting on the phone as the voicemail indicator in "messages" doesn't change.....and also It doesn't seem to be able to set up the true visual voicemail through it.
You have to use the Google Voice app to get them and just search through your mails. (If anyone has a way around that one I'd be grateful - for both the message indicator and the visual voicemail)

In my search I found someone who said it would just prompt for the new password and someone else that said it would factory reset my phone.So, has anyone here actually done this and what happened?

The credentials were stored in my KeePass file, but the password was like 20 random letters and numbers. So I changed it to something typeable and entered it in my phone. Needles to say I forgot to change it in keepass and now I can't remember it.
Is there any practicable way to show the password stored in my device?

I've been around with the developer and google checkout and no one seems to have the answer. The developer canceled the purchase but Market still lists it as a purchased app. So I can't re-download it.

Sep 8, 2010Google sync has been working fine till my Hero finally updated to all the latest software/firmware last weekend. Since then, it has continually failed to sync Google calendar (mail and contacts are fine) BUT it tries all the time - exhausting the battery every 12 hours in the process! I've seen suggestions to remove the account and re-set it up but it won't let me. Try to delete it and it says "This account is required by some applications. You can only delete it by resetting the phone to factory defaults which deletes all your personal data". It even continues to try and sync when 'Sync calendar' is NOT ticked on the 'data & sync' page! Any suggestions, or do I really need to go back to factory settings?

Dec 3, 2009I have loaded the Dolphin browser as my default browser and the google homepage is stuck in Spanish. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times and nothing changes. The only way to view it in english is to scroll down to the bottom of the google homepage and press "Google.com in in English". Once I close the browser and come back its back in Spanish. Any ideas or suggestions?
