View 9 Replies View RelatedMy HTC Desire was running well but I've developed a really irritating issue which seems to have started since the Froyo update (O2). Quite often when I send text/sms messages I get the Unable To Send error warning in the top left of the main screen. At first I was hitting the Resend option all the time but it keeps coming back and I noticed that if I check my text messages All Messages box then the message has actually been sent, yet the Unable to Send message persists until I use the Clear option. Has anyone else noticed the same thing?

View 2 Replies View Related.1. This phone the first week started hanging up on people and is now doing it more often and i noticed while im on the phone before it hangs up on people it makes this weird clicking sound and cuts them off for like a second but only i can hear it , it does that a couple times then hangs up with no warning.
2. The past few days my Wi-fi and 4G will randomly turn themselves on i dont know why.
3. I plugged my phone into my laptop to sync my new music onto the laptop so ill always have it incase it doesnt save on the memory card because its done that before. but when i went to sync it none of my recently downloaded songs are showing up on Phone or SD card and i remember setting it to immediately save to SD card so i don't know whats wrong with it.
4. sometimes the phone will freeze or just reset itself with no warning either.
this isnt the same as all the others, i rooted my phone and was able to download apps for a few minutes, after that all my apps would sit at "starting Download" i would wait hours for it to work but nothing ever changed. i paniked and reset factory settings on my phone so i only have stock apps and SU, the catch is it wont let me delete SU so my warrantee is void. also when i try to reboot recovery it looks like it will then goes black and starts normally. is there a way to remove SU or reboot recovery another way? i would be fine if the market started working again please help.
View 20 Replies View RelatedI've been using my HTC Desire without a problem but for the last couple of weeks I have been getting unable to send notifications when sending texts. This can be almost instantly after hitting the send button. I'm on three. My friend has the same handset and he is on oange and is getting the same thing so is this a handset thing or are we both doing something wrong. If you leave the desire to do it's stuff it will send it. On other occasions it goes no problem.

View 3 Replies View RelatedDespite the fact that I have not left the country, nor have I exchanged any text messages with people overseas, I have been charged for 37 international text messages by sprint, to the tune of .20 each. I chatted with a CSR, who basically told me I could not dispute the charges until the bill had posted(it shows under current usage on my account). This is most likely due to the faulty GPS/location issues this phone is well-known to have. Please check your bill, harass sprint, and make sure you don't get hookwinked! Please comment if you check and have been charged for intl text messages within the U.S.A.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI know the stock Messaging app has an option to remove text messages over xxx messages but it doesn't work. I have 700+ text messages with some of my contacts and I'd like something to automatically remove all the messages over 200, i.e. I'd like no more than 200 texts per contact.

I went through the long process of setting up my new Evo LTE yesterday. Basically, installing and configuring a bunch of apps. Everything was looking good and working well. So the last thing that I decided to do last night was to give it a reboot. I saw it reboot (and was nice and fast) so I walked away. When I came back I noticed that it seemed to be rebooting again. So I watched it. The phone starts up and I can unlock it. I see items in the notification bar starting, I see a message right above the bottom menu bar appear stating "Content update error. Try again later.", and then about 30 seconds later the screen goes gray and then reboots. I have time to get in and look at settings and uninstall things - about 1 minute. But I really do not know where to start.
Is there a way of preventing apps from auto starting at boot? The phone is stock (no root).
any app to reboot phone without root?

View 10 Replies View RelatedThis is an odd problem I have. When I reboot my phone, it sends only a select few people previous text messages I've sent them. The only program I can see that could be causing it is SMS Pop Up, but I don't know if that is a culprit or has been known to do that. My girlfriend who was sitting next to me started getting text messages. She received about 13 instantly from me that she previously received from me.Can anyone decipher this dilemma?
View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is confirmed by Verizon, so take warning.I got my Incredible on Tues, used my BB charger on my phone because the Verizon store said it was ok since it was still a micro usb. My battery started dying after about a few hours. Tried every trick in the book and still died afte about 3 hrs.Went to the Verizon store and got it replace. They once again said it was ok to use the blackberry charger. So i let the new battery run down as the guy said and began to charge w/ my blackberry car charger for about 30 min. I noticed the orange charger light was not on. I unplugged the charger and the phone will not even turn on now. Verizon is overnighting me another Incredible.Listen to others if you want or take your chances, but the tech guy at Verizons main tech support center said to use only Htc chargers. **SO USE YOUR BB CHARGERS ON YOUR INCREDIBLE AT YOUR OWN RISK**

I installed the update for CauseWorld (a random little app where you collect "karma" points for "checking-in" to various real-world locations, and then you spend the points on various charitable causes). I used to leave the app running all the time, so I could easily check-in to a new place every few minutes, because loading the app from scratch is frustratingly slow (whereas having it running in the background makes it pop up instantly).
With the new update, if I left the app running in the background, it'd wake up my phone every few seconds, as it tried to update my location in the app. So as I left my phone sitting on my desk, I'd see the lock screen flash on, then off. Then on, off, on, off, etc. Pretty annoying. Last night I charged my phone, and as I went to bed, unplugged the charger, since it was fully charged. But apparently I forgot to shut down the CauseWorld app, because my alarms never went off this morning, and my phone was completely dead.
I plugged it into the charger, but the phone won't turn on, even after leaving it plugged in for 15 minutes.
The only thing that's changed about my phone in the last week is downloading the update for the CauseWorld app, so I'm blaming that, for lack of any other idea of what caused the problem.
I'm looking for a text widget that can access a text file that is located on my phone or dropbox and display the contents of the file. It should always update itself as soon as there is a change in the text file. Does an app like this exist and where can I find it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs is possible to remove the call feature from a phone, leave the MMS/SMS and Data modes? Basically I have a couple of older gen phones which are pretty crap for anything but media purposes, I use them whilst training or at an OP in Afghan. I just throw my headphones on if im running, as if I drop them.. I dont mind much.
Id like it if I could whack my sim in one, but remove the call function for OPSEC purposes. Still remain useful for SMS and Data(internet) usage whilst im away or even home. I've done this with certain devices (Wildfire, this was only used for Beats and Net, I removed the SMS and call function)
Is there a way to stop this from coming up? It's pretty annoying to have to take my phone out of my pocket just to get rid of the popup on the screen.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to change the low battery warning notification? I want to change the message to a funny way.
As on iPhone, they can customize it likes this:
I looked around the web and found a few solutions, one is to delete/rename the LowBattery.ogg file - this removes the noise but keeps the pop up.
Another solution is to get Sound Manager here: [URL]
And set System Volume down to zero, but I don't know what the risks are of doing that - it sounds rather overkill to set it to zero just for one thing, and what other sounds are linked to the system volume?
Any way to completely stop the popup from coming up? I know it's there to remind me to recharge, but it's just so disruptive if I'm near the end of whatever I'm doing and it just pops up, even when I have the full intention to recharge it in a few minutes.
