I've been using Screencast, but I disappointed because this app cannot record device's sound. I mean when you record video in computer, you can record computer's sound(game sound etc). I want same function in android app. Is there any app that can record device's screen and sound?

The microphone works fine since I can use it to google search and so forth, it just wont record sound in video ? Anybody have any suggestions on how to fix this ?

My first video was full screen on the internal memory and then i somehow changed it to save to external SD card the recording problem started (i don't know how to change the save settings).

To be a bit more specific, I am looking for a screen-recording solution so that I can get a video of the user's interaction with the app interface. Connecting the phone to any device such as a computer to do the recording is not an option.
Here is a sample gif that I created using a Mac screen recorder to record the iOS simulator interface. It gives a rough idea of what I would like to achieve on Android, except for the fact that I would like the same to be from the actual phone (not the emulator) and without having to connect the phone to a computer or any other device.
I am looking for a free and easy way to record my screen on my Galaxy S3. I looked in Google Play and found a couple good apps, but all of them required root. The others that didn't were really crappy.
When I googled it, I only found results for iPhone and older versions of android, I have android 4.1.1 jelly bean.
Is there any way to do this without spending any money and not rooting?
I am writing an android app for storing and managing voice memos with some basic metadata and tagging.
When recording sound I use:

This works well when using the phone in a normal fashion. However, it does not detect the presence of a bluetooth headset and still uses the phone's own microphone even when the headset is plugged in.
I also tried using MediaRecorder.AudioSource.DEFAULT, hoping it would automatically choose the correct source, but then no sound was recorded at all.
How can I a) detect if a bluetooth headset is plugged in and/or b) use a bluetooth headset as audio source for the media recorder?
Is it possible to recored your screen and save it as a video file? I did a Google search but found nothing. I was able to use Mobiola Screen Capture or something like that on BlackBerry that recorded an ACTUAL video of what's going on in real time.

Trying to get sound during the boot screen on my stock Gingerbread rom AT&T Infuse 4G.
In systemmedia, I have the bootsamung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg. I was missing the PowerOn.ogg in the systemmediaui folder so I copied that from another Samsung phone but still get no sound during the AT&T boot screen. I assume there must be a text file that allows the phone to seek the ogg file.
I've been searching around for awhile for a screen recorder and haven't found any great ones. The best I tried was Screencast, but I couldn't figure out how to get it to record sound as well.
I'm trying to record myself playing a game I developed, so it needs to have very high framerate (Screencast does this well) and also record the game sound.
Using the simulator isn't an option due to the way the game is controlled.
Is there any way to record using the camcorder without the screen being on? or an app to do this?

I need to record video of PC screen by phone (nexus 5). Usually recorded video looks nicely, but sometimes there are overlapped frames: moto.jpg

I have an issue since i start installing custom ROMS. So, is not my first time installing a ROM. I have installed stock ROM's in the past. However, not custom ones. I have rooted my device in the past and even now before installing a custom ROM. I have installed through TWRP recovery various custom ROMS such as Omega, AOSP, ARROW, WanamLite, Google Edition and CyanogenMod but none of them worked fine for me.
In some ROMS I might not have reception (don't worry the IMEI is the same and backed up). However, in EVERY ROM my dialler crashes; for example, when im trying to make a call it freezes and the screen goes black without seeing anything. On the other hand, when I receive a call, screen takes ages to appear and show the caller or even accept the call. In addition, I have NO SOUND at all in every ROM as well.
I believe that the kernel might be the problem. This is because when i am booting the phone I always see the following:

I bought a bricked Bruneau tablet and wanted to stock flash it. But the "script" named folder that i put it on the sdcard was for other kind of wonder media processor. I have a WM8505+ procesor and the software was for WM8605. Now the tablet does not turn on, black screen, no sound nothing. I saw on other forums and youtube that i can shortcircuit 2 pins from a Samsung chip on tablet motherboard but it`s not working.

Somehow despite having good coverage in our area our home is a dead spot for USCC and ATT. How do I map the device Y axis to the screen Y axis?I can't figure this out.I'm the developer of Tricorder, and I'm trying to make it so that the accelerometer and magnetometer indicators I draw always point in the right direction.On the G1 phone with the slider closed, all is well.But when I open the slider, I end up showing that gravity is pulling me to the left (if the phone is held with the display vertical).So, I know that the device, and hence sensor, Y axis is always in the direction of the earpiece; and the screen Y axis changes when I open the slider.And I know that I can use remapCoordinateSystem() to change the device axes to match the screen axes.But where do I find out what the device's orientation is?In other words, how do I compute the correct values for the X and Y parameters to remapCoordinateSystem()?
Configuration.orientation seems quite useless.Suppose it is set to LANDSCAPE.What does this mean?Does it mean a device which is "naturally" portrait (i.e. the sensor Y axis points to the narrow end), and which has been turned into landscape mode?If so, which way was it turned?Or does it mean a device which is naturally landscape?In other words, LANDSCAPE could mean that the screen axis is off from the sensor axis by +90, 0, OR -90 degrees.Not much help.So how do I do this?Obviously I want my app to work on all devices, not just the G1 phone.
I have a 7 inch tablet (Novo 7 Paladin) running ICS. Unfortunately, most apps just use the phone layout wich I assume is because the manufacturer set the android:screenSize property to "large" instead of "xlarge".
Is there a way to change this, so that Apps will use the "xlarge" screen layout?
Currently I can have playback controls on the lock screen of my idevices, as you can see in the screenshot below. Pandora is one example on when I would use this. How can do this same thing on my android device? I currently have a Galaxy Tab 2 7" & I'll be getting the GS3 soon.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a completely broken screen/lcd/digitizer on my Samsung Galaxy S3, debug mode was not on. The phone works as it will still vibrate when turned on and the LED / Menu / Back buttons light up during a boot. USB connector works as well. The phone was not previously rooted.
I had most important data on the sd card and I've already wrote off any other data on the phone as I've since moved on to a GN2. I would like to make use of the S3 (not necessarily as a phone but a server, security camera, etc.). I've read several posts here about my options and looked at numerous google articles, all seem to require debug mode being on or assume/require the data/OS must remain as this is what the user is trying to recover. I do not care if all data is lost on the phone, I just want to make the device useful again.
Am I out of luck if debug mode was not enabled or can I flash through adb via some obscure mechanism? Also note that fastboot is not an option here as the S3 (samsung) does not have it enabled. I am unable to get into "Download Mode" as I cannot see info on the screen.
I have a couple of tablets but my primary is my Xoom. I'd like to use the HDMI output and the USB to connect to a multitouch screen that I have. I've seen some older hacks that are resistance hardware touch screens that are more hardware. I'm wondering if this is remotely possible in the newer version of android like ICS on the Xoom.
