I have started playing around with my really first ROM. I have a stock Rom for my Xperia Z as base. But I wanted to add some nice mods for this rom.
When I open a flashable mod zip there is two folders, the META INF and system. But how do I add the mod to be installed with my rom?

I am flashing stock onto my Sony experia u but i don't know how to get the stock files to flash it i have downloaded flash tool but i don't know were to get the flash files.
I am using xperia p with stock JB (unrooted). I have to charge it twice a day without even any significant use.
Sometimes battery just drains out by 10% or so with just an eye blink! Battery details showed that it's staying awake (or something is making it stay awake) while in sleep. Tried using BetterBatteryStats to find the draining app. But just 'kworker' and 'admsrv (or something like this)' seemed to be the only problems. Tried flashing and/or factory resetting 5 or 6 times and still no improvement.
I've installed BatteryLeft and like it, would like to not have the factory battery indicator up top. "Just ignore it" I know...I'd like to remove or hide it if possible.

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor the life of me I can't stand any of the sony-brand apps. After tinkering, I stumbled upon the "stock" android dialer and the "stock" music player - both of which are much better to use.
Problem is, I can't find them!
To access the stock android music app, I access it through an openhome widget. But ideally, I'd just like to have a plane-jane launcher. On top of that, I've found no way to get back into the stock dialer.
Does anybody know how to get the stock android apps to show up in the tray, so I can start using them again?
I have a problem with my camera so I try to install are the 4.2 camera on my haipad I9300 mtk 6577. No success so now I want to go back to the original ics camera and gallery.. Unfortunately I delete the original ones when I install the 4.2 camera. So I download the camera apk and Google gallery. Apk and put in system.app the gallery shows up but not the camera. The gallery crash very often. I cannot make the camera shows up. Every time I turn on the phone it appears "Android update". I don't have a recovery.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've recently rooted and am looking at getting rid of that irratating 'Choose input method' in the notification bar every time I type something.
I use Swype and the other options are Google Voice Typing (which I can untick) but Samsung Keyboard is greyed out, meaning that every time I type something I get the choice of Swype or Samsung Keyboard.
I've frozen the Samsung keyboard and now I don't get the notification and also Swype starts up quicker. Good so far. The thing is, I'm wondering if when I restart my phone my PIN lock screen uses the Samsung Keyboard, in which case I won't be able to enter my PIN. (I've disabled my PIN for the time being as I'm too scared to find out!)
I have a problem for a few days. The story is that I installed Custom ROM and it stop asking for unlock code when I insert a new carrier sim card. Somebody told me to restore to Stock Firmware. I used "KDS Firmware Update" to push Stock Firmware from my PC but when the phone restart to install Stock Firmware, Custom Recovery Mode appear instead of Stock Recovery Mode. As the result, it failed to install.
I'm looking for a way to restore Stock Recovery Mode but I found nothing. Now, how to do it or give me the Stock Recovery Image zip for my LG Optimus G E973.
I have a Galaxy Note 2 (GT-N7105) rooted on CM 10.1 on 4.2.2. Prior to this I was on stock 4.1.1. How would I go about unrooting and going back to stock 4.1.1. Is this even possible? Also if/when back on official firmware, would I be able to then update to 4.1.2 via the Samsung update feature?

View 2 Replies View Relatedi just bought an HTC One Mini on eBay. The smartphone seem to be of Orange.uk (i saw this info using cpu-z app) and does not contain all languages (for example italian, and since i'm italian this isn't a good news).
I'm using this smartphone with a SIM of course not of Orange so i think that is unlocked.
But i want to flash a "classic" Stock of HTC One Mini European, not this. The actual ROM also is "locked" to Android 4.3 and if i check updates he don't find nothing.
So how can i flash a stock european rom? And where i can find it?
