View 2 Replies View RelatedFor the Droid X i want to try to use the froyo update that was leaked before however, I am worried about as to whether or not I can flash back to the stock OS. I see how to do it for other phones and know how to do it for the original droid with much help however, I do not want to do the update until I know there is a way to revert back to 2.1 Also I am using the leaked NON ROOTED 2.2 update if I get an answer on here. I do not like to root only because I am a noob.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently installed the Cyanogen Mod onto my S4 and honestly wasn't impressed with it. How do I uninstall the custom ROM and revert back to the Stock ROM?
It is the T-Mobile Variant (SGH-M919). Can I just restore from a backup before I installed the Cyanogen Mod?
I think I have messed up something whilst rooting my phone. Originally I was on GN's LTE version (4.0.2), currently I am on IMM76I (4.0.4) and my battery doesn't seem to be charging even after plugging in for 2-3 hours. What can i do to go back to my factory settings and have a "stock" image ?
View 5 Replies View Relatedmy question is once i flash is there a way to revert all settings back to the wait it was? for let's say, if something bad happens, i can still go for the warranty on the phone?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been having a problem with my HTC One phone since I got it. My 4G connection will stay connected for about 30 seconds to a minute, and then it will revert back to 3G. I have already looked this up before and I have done the following:
-Changing my network mode setting to "LTE/CDMA", and then restarting the phone
-Making sure all recent updates have been installed
-Making sure my plan was actually eligible to connect to 4G (it is)
-Making sure there is 4G coverage in my area (again, it is)
-Always leaving "Automatic Connections" on
I just want to know that if I root my tab with custom rom.. Then is it possible to revert back or unroot the tab to original rom so that it's warranty doesn't void.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've tried searching all over the place but can't find an answer. How do I revert back to S-ON with my Incredible. I'm bringing my phone into Verizon for a problem that the 2.2 update gave me with 3G issues and I need to turn S-ON. Do I have to revert back to 2.1 and do it from there or can I do it on 2.2?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI understand the stock shipped RUU is floating around some of the forums. Is it possible to get back to the stock 2.1 release?
My EVO won't sleep and is eating through the battery in just a matter of hours.
I really don't want to spend time troubleshooting the issues as 2.1 was working perfectly for me.
I bought the beautiful widgets for the clock, I loved the look of the clock. Now after the last update, its uglier than hell. Its some digital looking thing. Is it possible to revert it back?
View 11 Replies View RelatedSo a friend just received his new Inc, and immediately took the upgrade, so now he's sitting at stock 2.2. I'm thinking the answer is no, but want to confirm that there is no way to root 2.2, or to revert back to 2.1 so he can root, right?
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to manually revert back to the older version of some apps? the new update of the g4 app sucks because the videos aren't high-res anymore.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIf this is posted somewhere else. i'm just not liking the 2.2 thing. it's buggy, and kinda lagging.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI think I tried to longpress in the text entry field and find another option but two things about the keyboard really irk me.
1. You cannot enable an autospace to be inserted after you choose an autocorrect word option.
2. I'm just not a fan of the long press on letters to access symbols/numbers.
Maybe I'm spoiled by the Droid but can you swap the text input to the standard keyboard?
I have another posting about my Verizon network settings getting screwed up by a widget, and assuming that I need to restore my phone, I'd like to see how to do it while keeping root. If I use the built-in option to restore factory settings, will I keep root and the super-user apk? I'm not downgrading anything, I didn't do any OTA leaks; I'm curious about restoring my phone to factory settings while retaining root.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI know I procrastinated, but I installed the leaked 2.2 months back, and never reverted back to stock, to get the OTA 2.2 Verizon sent out. Is it too late? If I revert back to stock, will I still be able to download the official OTA 2.2? Is there any difference over the one I have?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI was using easy root and it would not work for me. I got to the 3rd step but kept giving me errors. Now I got a half rooted phone but do not want to try to root anymore. But now I realized after installing everything back due to failure to root that my Facebook won't sync as it get error that service is down. So easy root went through all 4 steps but errors on 3rd and 4th. And thus I can go to recovery mode but not fully rooted. Do I need to do anything special to revert back to nonroot?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't need to do it right now, but in case I have to send it back, I'd like just ONE forum that gives simple instructions on how to unroot and revert the HTC Droid Eris back to stock 1.5. Seems like every forum I find is either 9,000 posts of people talking about completely unrelated subjects or is for the Moto Droid. I would think there would be a program out there that would do this automatically by now.
View 33 Replies View RelatedOnce I create an icon using a icon from a pack do I have to keep the pack installed? I picked a few from different packs and I would like to clean up my phone if I can by getting rid of the packs. Will the icons revert back if the pack is gone? Also, if there are any really cool color icon packs out there let me know! I have seen the ones in the market but I haven't found anything I am screaming about!
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, the big question is: Has anyone been able to pull today's OTA with their leaked 2.2. Do I really need to revert back to 2.1? I downloaded the first 2.2 leak from P3Droid.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI got all excited with the leaked froyo update.zip that hit the net a few days ago, and installed it on my phone. Since then I've had many issues, the big one being ADB not discovering my phone. I'd like to revert my phone back, but can't find a signed update.zip on the nets that will do it.
Does anyone know how I can revert my N1 from FRF50, back to ERE27? My phone is not rooted.
I have N1 with FRF83, but with custom recovery image and some other customizations. Since I can't OTA update to FRF91 or even 85b from custom images, how do I revert back to the stock FRF83 completely?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am planning to buy an unlock code for my HTC Aria and SIM unlock it.
After unlocking it, if i root the device OR if i install a custom ROM OR If i install the new Froyo (When AT&T releases it)
Under these circumstances or any other circumstances, does the unlock revert back and make the phone locked again?
When the 2.1 update does come out, if I decide that I want to check it out and revert back to the stock 1.5, is that what nandroid is? All I would have to do is reboot, pick the nandroid file and go back to 1.5? Also, if I do revert back to 1.5 will the phone be unrooted as well? Forgive me if these questions seem nooby like but to this forum, I am a bit of a noob. If you don't ask you don't know.
