I got an Atrix 2, installed one of lfaber06's ROMs, SuperCharged v5. I just booted up my phone today, which is my 2nd day with my phone. When it was done booting up, I unlocked the screen, and it said something about a 10 day trial about CityID.

Well I'm a newbie dinc user and I love this phone! But I hav some issues tht I hav to solve or I'll hav to get the Droid x or Droid 2 when it comes out next week.
I'm getting terrible signal. Everybody around me is getting like full bars and I barely have 1 maybe 2. Is there anything i can do to help this?
2nd is how do I uninstall the stock apps like cityid and fm radio? So maybe tht will help the pathetic battery life. And also which is the best extended battery to get both the same size and the larger, like what brands?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI currently have an Motorola Atrix and it wont charge. The battery shows completely dead. When I plug the phone either into the USB or the wall charger, the led light will turn green and the phone powers on and is completely functional. However, it does not show that it's taking a charge (w/ either usb or wall). Once the plug is removed the phone will shut off and wont turn back on until I plug it back in. I've tried several chargers, stock and non-stock and they work on other phones with no problem. I bought a new battery and it worked for about an hour (guessing it was already charged) plugged it in (both usb and wall) will not show a charge. Now, it's back to the same thing. Battery is completely dead and it will only work when it's plugged in. Also, when I plug it in by usb the computer does recognize it.

The RAM HAS JUST DISAPPEARED. I'm not talking about Ram being occupied by apps and processes. I was having some issues with it later, so I recently performed a hard reset, clearing also the internal memory and the memory card.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently got an ICS update on my Motorola Atrix 2 in India. I have been using gingerbread for quiet a long and now suddenly everything has changed.
I have anyway explored almost all the changes in ICS. But I am still not able to find one feature which I really loved in gingerbread.
When I press and hold on empty part of home screen, a pop up comes up listing widgets, shortcuts, folders and wallpaper which is now replaced by wallpaper only. However, widgets can be still added after pressing menu key and selecting widgets tab. Folders can created by just dragging and dropping apps on one another.
But the most shocking part for me is that there is no way I can create a shortcut or at least I didn't find. I had pinned "catch" notes on my home screen in gingerbread which is not working anymore although the option is still there in the catch application.
Using Astro File Manager, I used to create my important folders from sd card as shortcuts on my home screen which is also not working any more. Is there anything I am missing out or ICS for motorola atrix 2 doesn't have that feature?
My Atrix crashed a few days ago after ADW launcher locked up and I had to force close it. The phone was locked up at that point so I pulled the battery. Ever since, the phone will boot, but I can't unlock the screen or access anything via the touch screen. I can see the notification bar and I hear notifications from my calendar. It seems as if everything is working in the background, I just can't access anything. If it can't be fixed other than a hard reset, is there any way to backup my device using adb since I have no access to the device?

Re-booted: a new sdcard was created. All my personal files have disappeared.how to recover the previous 'sdcard' folder?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI father-in-law has an Atrix 2 and the screen was in perfect condition. It was running extremely slow, so i did a factory reset for him. There is now a weird mark on his screen that seems to get bigger everyday. I told him it has nothing to do with the factory reset, but I believe he may have had it in his one cargo pocket and press against something. There is no visible damage to the exterior of the screen. I have attached a photo to see what it could possibly be if it is not from physical damage.

I'm fairly new when it comes to installing custom roms so I require your patience. I don't know how to install a custom rom onto my Bell Atrix HD MB886, everytime I try it says abortion failed, what can I do to fix this. I have wiped data and all that probably 5 times in the past week alone. I would like to know how to successfully install roms without errors. Both the times that I have done this I had my bootloader unlocked, and I had clockword recovery mod latest version 6.0.4.4. I bought an SD card today to install the roms because otherwise I can't do it from my internal storage.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is where it gets weird. When I tried to call out from my DINC, it would start dialing, then simply stop and say "call ended". During this apparent outage, CityID (worst crapware ever!) reactivated itself after a month and a half of being done with my trial (got the DINC on 4/29). Even though my calls weren't going through, CityID was identifying the location of the numbers I was trying to call.
After a couple hours, service resumed, everything was fine and CityID stopped working again (thankfully). When I go to my call history, all the numbers that I tried to call during that time have the city and state information from CityID. All the numbers before and after do not? Weird! I thought after the two week trial it was supposed to go dormant? I hope it never reactivates again as it has never, not once, been correct regarding the location of the number calling.
Got a few questions. I was able to root using unrevoked 3.0, was extremely easy with my macbook with 10.6.4. Now i have some questions. #1. How do i get back to the clockworkmod screen once my phone has booted #2. Having a mac how do i go about removing cityid and other preinstalled app?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been using your JB builds on my Motorola Atrix mb 860. When ever I call or a call comes, I can't hear anything unless I'm on speakerphone or I plug in Bluetooth headphones. I even replaced ear speaker flex cable. But still I am unable to hear anything.
I already did the factory reset, wiped cache/system and data and also tried different JB flavors for atrix and also stable CM 7.2 on the sdcard.
I recently used chainfire3d so you know i thought it would work so i tried it out and it said it would reboot the device, then it was going to reboot but it just stayed there nothing else happened. Did i break my phone because i already tried MythTeams stock frimware recovery and it still stuck. Also I am trying to use RSD to fix it but im having no luck so far

The recording seems to stop as soon as the screen times out and the phone enters what I think is sleep mode. I've noticed that some apps(Tokasiki's Voice Recorder, for one) don't seem to have this problem on this phone(Motorola Atrix) and continue to record audio long after the screen has faded to black. I've tried using a partial wake lock but it doesn't seem to maintain the recording. Should I use AudioRecord instead of MediaRecorder? Voice Recorder seems to get by without using AudioRecord.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI removed CityID without making a backup after root(I know dumb), but I was able to find an .apk of it off the net to download but am still getting a assert failed: apply_patch_check("/system/app/CityID.apk" error. I am assuming its file permission error, if so, what are the file permissions supposed to be and how do I change them? Or if there is a way I can goto a stock Droid X straight from the factory that would work as well. (I have tried doing the stock factory restore from the phone itself but it fails to re-install CityID).
