I want to transfer the stock messaging app from my friend's stock VM Optimus Slider to my CM7 MOD Motorola Triumph, either as a second app or to completely replace the system app. Can it be done without rebuilding the CM7 ROM? (which I don't know how to do)

I'm trying to change the Language on Half Life 2 for the Nvidia Shield.So I put the VO folder from the PC version with all the .wav files into the .OBB file of the Android Version with Winrar.It doesn't seem to work though, when I try to run it, the game attempts to redownload the .obb file ..
Is there anything I have to regard, like a signature of the .obb file or something? Or do I need any special tools to build those files?
I need rebuilding a system apk. Basically what I have been trying to do is take the Mms.apk from my system/app in sense 3.6 and put that file on my computer. Extract the apk via winrar. And then I was modding a file in the mms folder by replacing the bubbles or "messageconversation.png" so that it looked like the ones from sense 4 and then here is where my problem comes in. How DO I REBUILD this folder to be a signed apk file and replace it into my system/app.

No success so now I want to go back to the original ics camera and gallery.. Unfortunately I delete the original ones when I install the 4.2 camera. So I download the camera apk and Google gallery. Apk and put in system.app the gallery shows up but not the camera. The gallery crash very often. I cannot make the camera shows up. Every time I turn on the phone it appears "Android update". I don't have a recovery.

I have a droid x, but over the weekend I got a razr maxx. What is the best way to transfer the data I want to keep, while not transferring data I don't need onto my new phone. My sd card seems to have a lot of files on it other than just my pictures and videos. I have titanium backup with all of my apps and data backed up. Should I only backup and restore user apps? Or I should I backup and restore user apps + system apps? My main concern is transferring things I don't need on my new phone. I don't want to clutter it up with useless files and data from old apps.

I can copy pictures from the S3 to my PC fine and I see everything - I just can't do it the other way around. Everytime I do, the thing just freezes and nothing happens and after a while it will say: Cannot copy (filename): this device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected. The camera may not support copying files from your computer.
I tried both the modes of USB (MTP and the camera thing) as well as turning on debugging. Nothing seems to resolve.

On doubletwist all my music is there, but the file is not there for that song on my computer (this is the case for about 300 songs). There ARE android software to recover and view content on the computer. The problem (I haven't downloaded any of these software tho) is that they all seem to require the phone be read from the computer. I have a PNY 16GB HC Micro SD card (in virgin mobile samsung reverb). I've had it for about seven months and the other day i dropped my phone (in otter box) and then it said it couldn't read my sd card so i pulled it and blew out the slot and on the card and put it back. It then said "SD card blank or unsupported data, so i put it in the adapter and put it in my computer. it detected it and i started to move my pictures and apps over to a file. in the middle of this it said "data transfer interrupted, please insert disk into drive" so i pulled it out and put it back. it did the same thing two more times and now it won't detect it at all. i don't wanna loose all the stuff.

I've transferred a few file by ftp from my machine (running linux debian) to the mobile. Everything seemed ok, except that after a while the file disappeared.
I've ftped to the mobile with nautilus. Do I need to "cleanly" close the ftp connection on nautilus to avoid this issue?
