I recently noticed that Google Play's smart update feature (where you only download the "updated" portion of an app) doesn't seem to be working anymore. Lately, when I've gone to update an app, I'm downloading the whole app anew, rather than some portion of it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had a problem with my old Vodafone Smart II phone Alcatel V860, and I put another original ROM on it. Everything was fine. I rooted also the phone, not a problem. But when I went into recovery mode I noticed something weird, only my volume keys up and down are functional to make selections in TCT recovery console, but not also the select button (the home button). This worked before! I also noticed much more options in the recovery console than before, but what good? I can't select options from the recovery menu whatever I do, just navigate through them.

The option is turned on in Market, sync is active etc and I don't get notifications, have to manually go into Market and check the downloads list. Sometimes there will be 10 updates in there. The problem is that after the first manually injected GPS coordinate, the app stops recognizing that a GPS coord has been sent.

Then MyLocationListener simply changes the value in a TextView to match the new GPS coordinate.

I added some logging in the onLocationChanged method and it only ever sees a Location the first time that I attempt to send an update. All subsequent ones don't fire the onLocationChanged method.

According to http://developer.android.com/reference/android/location/LocationProvider.html#AVAILABLE , that 2 maps to "Available".
As soon as that "Available" gets set, no other locations get passed through. Seems a bit counterintuitive.

I know the directory where I need to do the undeleting but none of the un-delete programs I have gathered will show anything that makes sense when it comes to the phone.
When i plug in the phone to my computer I get 2 directories..
Phone and Card (card is my 32gb micro sd)
The pictures I would need to try undeleting would be in the following directory: ComputerSCH-I545PhoneDCIMCamera
I cannot find a way to have any undelete program scan that portion to recover files... I have even taken out the micro sd card which did not matter ..
I currently don't have a slow smartphone but when I had my original Droid it would really slow down until I put a new or updated rom on it. Even if I rebooted it it would still be slow. I now have the Droid Bionic and it's really fast but will it someday get slow? I guess I don't understand the smartphone technology very well, yet. Is there or will there be some sort of software that you can run that will speed it back up?

I have found out the RAM is 354 MB, and the CPU is a Qualcomm Single-Core 1.4 GHz processor with the Adreno 205 GPU.
How to figure out which Qualcomm processor it is? Pretty sure it is an S2, but which one? I'm thinking maybe the same one in the G2, but I want to know for sure.
