Dec 15, 2013i have a Samsung s7275r GALAXY ACE 3 after unlock whit z3x box, the phone cant' connect to the GSM signal(cellular), but the wi-fi is ok.

Samsung Moment :: Signal Strength Apply To Data Signal Or Just Voice Signal?
Nov 4, 2009I want to reach out to others here before I take my Moment back to Best Buy to exchange it for another Moment.
My signal strength fluctuates wildly just sitting in the same spot. With the Hero I got a constant 5 of 6 bars, but the Moment will vary between 0 and 5 of 6 bars. But it's more complicated than that.
It seems that whenever the EVDO data kicks in, it causes the signal strength to drop to 0 or 1 bar. Once the data is idle, the EVDO indicator turns grey and then changes from EV(^v) to EV(D). At that point the single strength will return to 3 or 4 bars.
At times, though not as consistently or often, the EVDO connection will fall back to 1xRTT and will switch between them every few minutes. This will occur even when the signal strength bars are in the 3 to 4 range.
So, the my questions are...
Does the signal strength apply to the data signal or just the voice signal?
Is there any legitimate reason for the signal strength to vary wildly like I've described, even when sitting in the same recliner where the Hero had a constant 5 bar connection and data service that never wavered?
Is anyone else having signal strength and/or data service issues?
Should I exchange the Moment for another Moment or will I likely experience the same issue?

Aug 12, 2010Just wondering if anyone else has seen this issue. I have some Altec Lansing Backbeat (903) bluetooth headphones that I use with my Galaxy S. Very nice, decent quality, signal doesn't drop much, etc. Generally very pleased. My phone is however now being a pain with them....
Previously turning the headphones on, with the bluetooth already enabled would cause them to connect automatically. If i didn't have bluetooth turned on i'd have to manually connect from the bluetooth settings once I had enabled it. So far so good.
About a week ago my phone started 'forgetting' the headphones. This means almost every time I want to use them I have to pair them again. A huge pain. Even when the phone hasn't forgotten them they don't connect automagically, meaning I still end up in the settings menu. Any thoughts?

General :: Samsung S3 - Signal Connecting And Disconnecting After Flashing Rom?
Apr 14, 2014So after flashing Cyanogen 10.2 on my galaxy S3 (which previously had 4.2 jellybean stock rom installed) I had no service and an unknown IMEI and basband. I went into root browser and replaced the current EFS folder with one I Had backed up a couple of days ago which was 100% working fine. after a quick restart the signal bar at the top has no signal for about 30 seconds then gets signal for 10 seconds.If I go into setting and phone status during the period of signal I have network 02-uk network type-hsdpa and my phone number stays unknown and my imei is being shown correctly during both signal periods.
I cannot find a similar issue anywhere else at all and as im fairly new to all this I'm completely stuck. I have a backup of my old rom (which wont flash due to status 7 error) I 'd rather keep this rom if possible though.

Following are my questions:
1. Right now I have about a thousand google contacts synced to my phone. I want to remove them at one go. I know how to disable them from being appearing in contact list, but I want to know if I can delete them without going to factory settings.
2. I am using three applications (a) Gmail (b) Contacts (3) MVOIP. I want to know if there is a way that following combination works:
a- Google contacts appear on Gmail app
b- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "Contacts"
c- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "MVOIP application".
I know how to do
(a) - By synchronising google contacts,
(b) - by choosing display options
(c) - I do not know how to handle this and I want help.
HTC EVO 4G :: Phone Signal - 3G Signal Horrible Same Location
Sep 25, 2010I can get a few minutes of 4G signal at my home per day, but when it drops out and 3G takes over, the signal will flatline and boot me offline. My 3G speeds are usually around 56-150Kbps or less, and my 4G speeds are around 2.5 Mbps What would cause this ? According to WiMax location sites online, my nearest 4G tower is .52 mile away. I would think that if I actually get 4G signal, then 3G would be constant. Turning off 4G doesn't help either. Is there some setting that I could have turned off that would cause this ? Running stock EVO on 2.2 all the latest updates

Sep 14, 2010I believe there is a bug in the signal strength indication on the Fascinate, the one that shows the signal strength in -dBm. You can see the signal strength of the cell signal on the Menu, Settings, About, Status screen. Or you can place a widget on your Home screen. There are several widgets available, I'm using Mobile Signal Widget.I have a network extender, which basically creates a cell tower right in your home. With my Motorola Droid, I used to get signal strengths down to about -50 something and 60's in indicated signal strength. I can hold both of our Fascinates right next to the network extender's antenna and they will read no better than -86 dBm. So far I've seen signal strengths from -86 dBm to -106 dBm (terrible).I believe there is a bug in the software (Baseband) on the Fascinate. Previously, I thought the hardware (antenna/radio) wasn't very good, but now it may be software related. Has anyone seen a signal strength stronger than -86 dBm on the Fascinate?

Mar 24, 2010This phone has to be one of the worst at signal iv had. My wifes TP2 which was mine i thought was bad but this is horrible. I get 0 to 1 bar on my moment and she get 1-2 bars. A few times it is searching for service and this is all at my home which sucks cause i cant make calls or talk on the phone long before it drops. Is there anything out there to help improve this that isnt to costly? I know Sr print has the air wave thing but that is a monthly fee. I'm not gonna pay to improve my signal every month on top of my service already. What im looking for is maybe an antenna that i could stick somewhere to help boost it enough to keep me from searching for service.

The signal is perfect when the external antenna is connected but now the phone does not detect any mobile signal without the antenna, at all. Aug 7, 2010A few minutes ago my signal just showed no service for the second time. It was totally random, just like the last time and I don't think it's an AT&T problem because I was stationary in my house, where I've never seen this happen on my past devices. (Happened a few times on the iphone, but it only showed searching for about a second, then it came right back). On the Captivate it will show no service and won't come back until I reboot the phone. I'm not in a fringe service area (usually have 3 bars of 3g). Has anyone seen this happen on theirs? I'm trying really hard not to return it, but some of the bugs are getting pretty annoying.
I'm going to install CT Scheduler and run a reboot every morning. If it happens again, it may be going back...

I never got above -86dbm.. and that was standing right next to the tower. My phone just peaked at four bars a few times.
I had to *228 once I got to my destination because I had zero service inside.
On the drive home.. it was the same. Signal strength just sucked.
Is this the phone compensating in some way.. or does the reception on this phone suck that much?
In my metro.. I average 1-2 bars.. -106 - -96 dbm
Samsung Captivate :: GPS Working - Lost Signal?
Aug 20, 2010I just rec'd my captivate. Now, I've lived here all my life but still get confused going downtown. anyway, I voiced searched the hotel and the google found it on the first try. It navigated me all the way there with 100% accuracy.
The only issue is that when I took it away from the windshield area, to make a call, it lost signal. I didn't have a good place to put it, at the time, other than the dashboard - but it worked great.
I'll try it out again today & update.
Samsung EPIC 4G :: No Bars At All - How To Boost My Signal
Sep 21, 2010I used to have an HTC Touch Pro 2, which had excellent reception inside my office. I purchased (or dare I say... upgraded to) the Epic 4G about 2 weeks ago and this phone has NO signal inside my office. Occassionally I'll get the roaming symbol, but for the most part I have no bars at all.
How could 2 phones have such different reception? The cell towers have not moved!
I've read the 4G network was launched in Orlando yesterday. I'm in Orlando and haven't been able to get a 4G signal yet. I would be happy with a consistent 3G signal. Or even 2G if that exists. Just give me a connection!
ALSO my BatteryMinder tells me when the battery is fully charged so I can unplug the charger. Last night I got the fully-charged alert in the middle of the night, so I unplugged the phone. Woke up this morning to 66% battery remaining. I know there are tons of posts about ending tasks, lowering screen brightness, etc. - all which I have done - but is there a stronger battery I can purchase? I'm not making it even 1/2 a day without charging. What an inconvenience!
