My problem is that the market on the web shows all of the apps that I use also the one that are no longer on my device. Is there a way to sync between them?

I am assuming no-one is going to send me Froyo OTA so where can I get a copy of Froyo to flash onto my Nexus One? As I use it for testing my apps I want it to be as close as possible to what a user would have and definitley do not want to root the phone.

Is there any special process? Can I just use the normal OTA update service built-in? Will doing that lose my root and unlock? If possible, I'd prefer the most risk-free method, as I don't want to mess up my Nexus.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a brand new windows 7 computer, I have installed the latest android SDK, I want to connect to my Nexus 10 using adb.
(device has windows drivers from SDK; "Android Composite ADB Interface". adb version 1.0.31)
when I do adb devices, it does see my device but it says my device is unauthorised.
It has never displayed the security popup.
I am convinced that the security pop up would make this work, but i cannot get it to show, so that it does whatever magic it does.
I have tried plugging and unplugging the usb cable,
I have tried turning USB debugging on and off.
I have changed the USB connection from Camera, to Media, back to Camera.
I can see the adbkey file under $HOME/.android in windows
The android directory /data/misc/adb/ is empty
I have root.
How can I force the security popup to display? Or how can I frig this so I can get it working?
What does the secuirty popup do anyway? probably just copy the adbkey file from windows into the android /misc/adb/ directory right? Can I do it by hand?
Slightly unrelated question, is it true that everything works first time, everytime on IOS?
I have an Android phone (Nexus S) and a tablet (Xoom) and an iPod touch. What I want to know is this. Is there a way I can put my music on the Xoom and then sync my iPod touch to it?
I don't want to use the phone because the battery life isn't good enough, the ipod I can charge once a fortnight, the phone I charge daily and it wouldn't make it through a working day if I use it for my music.
I just setup Bittorrent Sync on my Motorola Razr M and Nexus 10 so that all photos taken on my phone can be viewed on both devices. The sync has worked as far as I can tell (if I go into BT sync on the tablet i can view all the files downloaded to the device and view them by clicking on them individually). The only problem is that if I go into my Gallery on my tablet it has not automatically detected the photos, even though when I click on them via BT Sync the are displayed using the gallery app.
How I can make my Gallery automatically show them in my albums? It seems to show other random photos (ie. album covers from music folders I have transferred over) but no the ones I want. I was under the impression that the Gallery app did automatically index all the photo files on the device.
I recently got my Nexus, and I am in love. I would like to sync my Razr Maxx and Nexus. File sharing basically. Syncing folders when I feel the need.
I'm using ES File Manager, and the Nexus is rooted but the Maxx is not.
Mainly looking to sync photos. How do you synchronize your devices?

My Google Calendar App syncs google calendar appointments just fine. But "Corporate" accounts, which include my Hotmail and GroupWise calendars, won't sync calendar appointments older than two weeks. Even worse: appointments from older than two weeks ago actually drop off.
On settings, I have it set to sync all. I tried adding and removing accounts. I tried deleting calendar memory/cache. I have even tried returning my Nexus 7. The replacement has the same issue.
I have recently got a Nexus 7 and I was looking for an app that could sync my music between it, my Galaxy Nexus, PC and preferably also Macbook. I know I can use doubleTwist for this however I really like PowerAmp and would like to keep it as my music player. Is there any program I can use to achieve this (preferably with WiFi sync ?)

I have a Galaxy Nexus with the volume buttons spoilt (not functioning). It is rooted and running on AOKP's 4.4 rom. I accidentally installed the wrong kernel and while panicking, I wiped the data and davlik cache. Now, I am stuck in boot loop. Also, when I plug it into the computer, the phone is UNAUTHORIZED according to adb server.
Is there any way to authorize my phone without booting into the OS itself?

Is there a way to boot into bootloader/recovery without authorizing the phone and without using the physical buttons of the phone?
I don't know why but my google sync stopped. I used to have this several times a day the last days but now it seems to be permanent.

Unfortunately I made the grave mistake of leaving my Helix 2 app as my main launcher, so I was stuck in an endless loop of force closing. After restoring my phone to factory defaults I was able to set up my gmail account as I did when I first set up the phone.now that I'm going into the market, I'm noticing a LOT of apps that I had before (most of them paid) are not even listed in the app store. I'm also noticing that the Helix apps are not listed either. It would appear that non 2.2 compatible apps are not being listed? I have no idea, but whatever it is, I hope I get my touchdown full version app back soon, otherwise I'll be in a rough spot with work. (not a huge fan of the regular mail).Example, I did a search for the developer "Camel Games" I recently purchased one of these games, however, when I do a search now, I ONLY see all the free version, and no paid versions. If anyone has any insight on this it would be greatly appreciated. Also, if anyone is not seeing the same thing as me, that would be helpful too. Is there anyway that if I download an app from one device that the app will also automatically be pushed/downloaded on the other devices?
It is a real pain to have to remember to go to each other device and download the app, and even worse when I switch between handsets that may not have been used for several week.

My device is a Clone S4 came with Google Play but could not use Google Play services (needed to run Google Calendar), so install GAAP Core 4.2.2, everything worked except Google Calendar. Which are the (apps) files necessary to have Google Calendar working properly in a Chinese device?
I mostly use my smartphone to take pictures and the iCloud photo stream sharing option is great for sharing pictures with close family members. Apple makes it ridiculously easy to do this quickly with a few clicks. My parents love it because they can easily see the pictures we share with them on their iPhones and iPads.
However after using a Nexus 4 for a month, I am thinking of making a switch to Android permanently. It is a great phone. However the inability to sync pictures with the iCloud photo stream is giving me second thoughts. The Google+ sharing feature is not very intuitive...or at least it is not as easily done. Since I've got my parents trained on iOS, and the Photo album contains every thing in one place, I don't want to try to get them used to a new app.
Is there an easy way to sync pictures that you take on your Android device with your iCloud photo stream without having to plug the phone to a laptop?
I'm encountering a strange behavior when syncing my Google calendar to the standard calendar app on my Droid Razr M (running Android 4.1.1). Almost everything works fine, including syncing events, deleting events, etc. However, if I have an event that has been synced already (i.e. the event is visible both on the phone and on a PC browser), and if that event has a text field (like "Location" or "Description") that has some text in it, then if I completely delete the text on the phone's version of the event, the text reappears after just a few seconds; clearly the event on the server is copying itself back onto the event on the phone. If I delete the text on the PC, then the text gets properly deleted on the phone also.
Note that everything other than completely deleting a text field on the phone works fine. e.g., I can alter (but not delete) the text on the phone and then the PC gets the correct update.
So I was hoping there would be some kind of easy-to-setup software that lets you sync music from your computer to your Nexus One..but that doesn't seem to be case? Does Google REALLY not have easy to setup software that does this for Nexus One owners? Whoever at HTC or Google thought it would be great to put the MicroSD behind the phones battery should be freakin fired.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy nexus one has not been able to sync contacts for 12 days now, each time it starts to sync it goes on for hours, making me unable to use my phones contacts for call and my phone simply becoems unusable i am force to uncheck the sync contacts option and backup contacts to sd card and trasnfer them to google via my pc... I think it started around the time nexus one got the double update in the same day.
